• Anna (8/5): Fabulous apartment in brilliant location. - Location and minimal decor.Clean fresh and spacious. Air con worked brilliantly, communication was perfect and super helpful for check in etc. Rooftop pool and area is such a bonus too. Noise from bars and other apartments (children running above early in mornings) not too bad but not ideal for more than a few days perhaps.

• Landen (5/5): The unit served us well. Thankful for such a large apartment in such a good location w laundry facilities, pool, etc. - Location. Lots of space. Good surrounding restaurants. Decent proximity to metro. The beds were hostel quality. For the price paid, certainly expected halfway decent beds. Bed quality very poor. Also, AC unit in front bedroom makes horrific noises but after first night realized we didn’t really need that unit on. Also, we love to see sunrises and sunsets but unable to access the roof at sunrise was a bit disappointing,
• Robert (7/5): A mixed bag: mostly comfortable, great location for visitors, insanely noisy - The location was great from the standpoint of proximity to major sights and places: Literally at the spot where El Born, Barceloneta, and the Marina meet. The location was terrible as far as noise was concerned: the street was being repaired by workers using jackhammers (starting at 8 am) and several bars that grew noisy well after midnight. Service was very slow in responding to requests most of the time. Two of the three air conditioners weren’t working when we arrived; Catarina House must ensure that these are in working condition before tenants arrive.

• Nana (8/5): Prime Location to set up camp whilst in Barcelona! - We had a delightful stay at this property, owing to its prime location in Barcelona. Its proximity to the beach and convenient access to shops and transport significantly enhanced our holiday experience. While we encountered some minor issues, they were promptly addressed—a special thanks to Emily for ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. I'd certainly recommend this place. However, a few tweaks by the host could further elevate this property. While the beds could benefit from an upgrade for enhanced comfort, and the bathrooms might need some attention, the overall experience is truly enjoyable. The location and the amenities of the property position it as an ideal stay. Don't let a few reviews deter you from discovering this hidden gem. I'm already planning a return trip next year and hope that the minor concerns are addressed by then.
• Mungan (8/5): Jewel in Barca - The size is great. We were a family of 6 Inc 4 young adults but never felt cramped. It has all the amenities a family would need for 11 days (washer,drier,dishwasher, TV, toaster, fridge freezer, even a Gusto, etc). Rooftop pool is a great place to relax and view Port Vell, we used the pool to cool down, as we were predominantly in 35° heat - bliss. Location is excellent, surrounded by bars and restaurants, La Rambla and the beach within 15 minute walk, Via Laietana across the street. Also, there are plenty of bus stops and 2 metros within 5 min walk. Good contact with hosts with pre check in and instructions to building entry. The electric went out several times, but the hosts were in touch with information, nothing more than a trip reset. Other than that, we'd be nitpicking - we loved it.

The rooftop pool was a nice perk. The place was spacious and clean. The AC, WIFI, and laundry machines worked great. We didn't have any issues with noise from the bar below like other reviewers had mentioned. Everything was really great so there's not much to say here. Perhaps stocking some basics would be nice. Having coffee pods, sugar for the coffee, laundry detergent, and paper towels would have been nice. The beds are fine but a bit stiff.

• Doug (9/5): Three bedroom apartment in an excellent location for exploring Barcelona. - This apartment is located ideally for exploring Barcelona. Getting to the Gothic quarter, the El Born neighborhood, and the beach is accessible. We were a family of four. My wife and I took one of the larger bedrooms, and our kids were in the other rooms. The apartment is located over a cafe and restaurant, so it can get noisy at night. Barcelona is a late-night city, so I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet at night.
