- Lukas (9/5): - Velice útulné, pohodlné až romantické.
- Helmut (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft im Erdgeschoss. Sehr nette Gastgeberin. - Kleine, aber feine Unterkunft mit sehr netter Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr wohl im Quartier gefühlt. Relativ nahe zum Zentrum und – für uns sehr wichtig – im Erdgeschoss. Alles okay
- Kurt (9/5): - Very cozy little room with one of the nicest hosts I've dealt with. The homemade liqueur was a nice touch. The amenities are fine for a solo traveler. There's a a bus station with two of the main busses located just a few hundred meters away (5 min walk tops) so you can get easily to town and back as long as you time it well. Mara will provide you with the timetable. Bed was very comfortable and there were a lot of sockets all over the place. Something that is often lacking. Not really a negative since it's clear while booking but the lack of a microwave or oven limits your food options.
- Kerstin (8/5): Good for a brief stay if you don't mind a walk - Very nice host, friendly and attentive. Flexible and easy check-in. A little further from the Dubrovnik Old Town (aprx. 20min) but no problem for us. The room is not large but good for just a brief stay to explore Dubrovnik. We really appreciated the many small details offered (parasol, milk and jam, tea and coffee, umbrella etc) showing that this is a place where hosts are very attentive and like to take good care of their guests. Would recommend for a brief stay in Dubrovnik for people who do not mind a walk. The room was quite noisy at night even with the window closed. The bathroom is small and has no separate window so would smell damp and a bit moldy quickly.

Blisko do każdej atrakcji turystycznej. Jest czysto. Apartament zaopatrzony we wszystko, co potrzeba.
- Mario (9/5): Priceless apartment with very nicely host with a little distance to the center - The host was unbelievable nice, room
Was tidy, clean and early to have…bed was cosy, bath small but had everything, air condition super A little far away from the city center - but it’s an okay walk! Inbetween there is the chance to swim (Banje Beach)

- Ulvi (5/5): An honest review of 'the room - My stay at "the room" in Croatia was truly memorable, largely thanks to the beautiful view from the room. Waking up to such a stunning panorama was a highlight of the trip.
While I didn't get to meet the owner in person, her kindness shone through in our interactions. She was incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. It's clear she cares about her guests' comfort. There were a few downsides. The room is quite small, and unfortunately, there were too many unnecessary souvenirs, making it feel cramped and leaving little space for personal belongings. These souvenirs also tend to collect dust, which was problematic as my wife is allergic. The toilet had a strange smell, and there's no room service, meaning bed linens aren't changed during the stay.
- Sabina (10/5): Exceptional - The Room is a perfect place if you travel alone or in a pair. It has everything: spacious, clean, nice view, and good location. The host Mara is a lovely person, always accessible and ready to help.
- Maire (5/5): Let's credit the photographer - Lovely hostess. Water pressure. It seems I stayed in some other room, because my impressions are not good.
The pictures don´t show reality. The interior design is tasteless. Room is full of things (mops hung on the walls, large plastic boxes with dishes, unnecessary widgets everywhere etc.). You have to climb a ladder to get into bed.
Noisy outside (vehicles right under the window) and inside (boiler, refrigerator, air conditioner).
- Dmytro (10/5): Exceptional - Design, parking, compartable coach and bed.
- Liezl (9/5): Superb -
- Beljap (9/5): Cosy room with a nice view - Lovely place with a small kitchen. The bed is comfortable and you have a nice view from the window. The host is always available if you need anything- I got really good restaurant recommendations!
It's a nice & easy walk to the old town, as you can enjoy the views, but the walk back is a bit harder as it's slightly uphill (and can feel long after a day of sightseeing) but there's a bus or you can take an uber.
- Lívia (10/5): Couldn’t recommend it enough - The place was very clean and tidy, has everything you need, super comfortable, good water pressure and great location, 15 mins walk from the old town or a 5 mins walk to the nearest bus stop where you can take the bus n 8 down to the old town.
Mara’s very thoughtful and responded to messages quickly.
We had an amazing stay!
- Hector (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michal (10/5): Amazing room! - very cosy and clean room. The room had many extras which you normally don't find elsewhere. Beautiful view from the window. The room is located in walking distance from two best beaches in Dubrovnik. Amazing customer service from the owner. Very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended to everyone.
- Alex (10/5): The host was very friendly and the room was great! We definitely recommend it! -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Very good place - The owner is very helpful and kind, she left us fruits, yogurt, jams. The kitchen and table space is very small and is full of useless objects (cork jar, decorations, etc.)
- Lamija (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Mara is an extremely kind host, she even left us cookies, cold water in the fridge, etc. We are very satisfied with the service and we will come back! Everthing was perfect
- Viktoria (10/5): Exceptional - Room was a small, but cozy and romantic. It's good for a few days stay to explore Dubrovnik. Walk to old town was 20 mins down a slight hill, walking up the hill not too bad. St. Jakov beach is close and I recommend it for the great views of the fortress + not as busy as majn Dubrovnik beach
- Yu (9/5): Superb - The host is friendly and helpful ,the room is very lovely, even small but have everything bed sheet, bathroom a little smaller
- Craig (8/5): Very good - Clean, easy check in, good WiFi, air conditioning, enough towels and amenities. 15 min walk to town. Comfortable bed Nothing wrong really
- Tg (5/5): Passable - Easy to get in. And the host was eager to answer quickly and easily. The smell in the room wasn't good.
For leisure, brown towels and grey bed clothes are not great you have the feeling that it is not clean enough.
- Anne (9/5): Lovely small apartment 30 min walk from the Old Town - Small room but packed with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
- Eve (9/5): Beautiful little spot for exploring Dubrovnik. - Very clean and comfortable, lovely sea view. Hosts kept in touch and were very welcoming and helpful. Although it’s only 20 mins walk from the Old Town it feels like a long way back when you have been walking all day and it’s slightly up hill. It doesn’t cost much in an Uber though - about €4.
- Elvedin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stewart (10/5): A great location and friendly host, ideal for a couple. - Excellent location, an easy walk to Dubrovnik old town, and also near to the sea. Friendly host, clean and lovely apartment.
- Goran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (9/5): «Klein, aber oho!» - We checked in earlier than expected and the host was very flexible, even though we wrote on short notice. The place seemed tiny at first, but was one of the most comfy and romantic places we've been, and it's in walking distance (20 min) to the Old Town. The schedule of the nearby bus station is unreliable (which is not something the host can control, of course), so we recommend walking or other means of transport.
- Karolina (10/5): Wonderful host! Very cozy room! -
- Carolyn (10/5): Awesome location - Such an amazing location, especially if you like to walk. As you go toward the old town, you have the best view of the city walls on your way down. Mara was an excellent host and communicated with us whenever we needed. It’s a cozy space and if you plan on spending most of your day exploring, it’s perfect
- Casian (10/5): Perfect - We were very well received. The apartment is easy to find. The host is very friendly and waited for us with cold water in the fridge.
The view from the window is wonderful.
We highly recommend it!
