Kitchen even stocked with breakfast items and afternoon snacks! 5* Would definitely stay again and highly recommend! I didn’t mind but spiral staircase if you have mobility issues then not for you.

• Val (10/5): A beautiful gem of a place to stay in a beautiful city! - Henri and Mel were exceptional, as was their property. A perfect location to access the tourist sites and restaurants, a perfect (historical) place to stay, and everything clean and functional. This was our first trip from America to Europe, and what a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam prior to boarding Viking. There may be one concern for others - if you have disability or mobility issues this is not the place for you as the stairs can be difficult to navigate. Very steep, very narrow. Just something to be aware of if you have difficulties in that area. Other than that, thank you so much Henri and Mel, you are excellent hosts!!! We will definitely stay there again if we return to Amsterdam - The location is excellent, a short walk from the centre of Amsterdam, yet it is in an extremely quiet street. The apartment is spacious and the photos accurately represent how the apartment is. It was great to have access to a washing machine/dryer. The bed was comfortable and clean. Henri was very friendly and welcoming, helping us with all our enquiries. Nothing

Lovely studio with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay plus extras provided by the hosts (breakfast goodies for the next day!) Henri was very informative and friendly on arrival, you can tell how much effort they put into their guests stays. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to visit Amsterdam! Perfect location for easy walking to all central areas of Amsterdam. Henri had stocked the kitchen with a thoughtful range of food and condiments. Also a wide range of cooking utensils to enable food preparation if required. Also the availability of a washing machine and dryer. Bliss for us as we were travelling for 7 weeks. Nothing

• Michael (10/5): Wonderful host, location, extra items! - The just, Henri, was so helpful, and welcoming. He made it seem like he enjoyed his job. That made us feel so comfortable. We loved the little extras. There was so much gluten free food for us! Bottled water fruit juice, etc. a roll of paper towels, extra toilet paper. The window even had a screen, so we could have fresh air without mosquitoes! The location was amazing. Near the Central Station, canals, museums, etc. There was a welcome room downstairs (a former garage) which we used for a rest (and bathroom) when we arrived early, and to store extra luggage so we didn’t have to bring them up the flight of stairs to the studio. Of course, Henri carried for us.

• Jeffrey (10/5): Great place to stay while you explore Amsterdam and other areas of this wonderful country. - We absolutely loved this stay. It’s a beautiful suite, we enjoyed our evenings there. The suite was super clean, and comfortable. The area is fantastic, just away from the noisy crowds but only by a short walk to many amenities. It was very quiet at night. It’s close to the train station and lots of other attractions. The neighbourhoods close by were great to explore. Henri our host was most sincere, gracious and helpful. The complimentary food supplied was very generous and appreciated. We would recommend this Huis Roomolen with enthusiasm. Should we ever return to Amsterdam, we would love to stay here again. It is very quiet and a perfect place to explore the city. We were met by the host and he talked us through everything. It has a sweet little terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee! It was very comfortable and highly recommend.

Centrally located near some excellent restaurants and independent shops, it was also only a 10' walk from the train station. The street was very quiet and we both slept well. Mel and Henri are excellent hosts. Only very one small negative point to note. The sink in the bathroom is extremely small making it difficult to use without water going on the floor. However this should not put you off from staying here.

• Traveling (8/5): I loved Amsterdam and this gem of a studio - The location was wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of natural light, which is typically missing in some hotel rooms. The property was very clean and comfortable. Those booking should be aware that there is one very steep set of stairs to enter the studio. The host was very helpful in taking luggage up and down, so for me it was not an issue. There is a garage right below the studio the houses motorbikes, the garage door could be an issue if you are a light sleeper.

• Sarah (10/5): A really wonderful, clean and well-situated apartment, owned by two lovely gents! - My partner and I couldn't recommend this apartment enough! We were made to feel exceptionally welcome and got shown round, negating any queries we may have had about how things worked in the space. We even got to feed the fish in the outside pond, which was an unexpected bonus. This was not something we personally didn't like, but some travellers may not be comfortable with not having a lock on their front door (it's something that lessens the risk of exit in case of fire and is mandatory in Amsterdam for these sorts of buildings, therefore not at all the fault of Mel and Henri - they also have no lock!)
