As a first visit to Barcelona we couldn’t have been better located to make th - The property, located 5 mins walk from Placa Catalunya and just off La Rambla, is ideal. It is situated in relatively peaceful square, but the lounge and one of the bedrooms are above the recycling station which is inevitably a little noisy early mornings as waste disposal and street cleaning get underway. Otherwise the building is very quiet. It was lovely to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 2 visitors. The furnishings and kitchen appliances were clean and functional. Heating and AC are provided though neither was needed in March. Plenty of towels provided which was nice. There was good communication with Jeff before we arrived, we were met outside the apartment and given helpful advice and tips. The website and booking.com show a number of photographs only one of which matches this apartment. Although the apartment was nice, the photographs suggest a more luxurious decor than the one we stayed in. This is a little misleading. There is no dishwasher so it would be helpful to have a washing up bowl (palangana?) for the sink and more than 1 tea towel. The crockery and glass ware is sufficient but a mixture of styles. The washing machine and dryer work well (very quiet), but there were no soap tablets. There are no non slip mats for the shower rooms which ought to be rectified to avoid a slip or fall.

• Murat (10/5): Great stay in the heart of the Gothic Quarter ! - Great stay in the heart of the Gothic Quarter! The apartment is perfectly located near Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi. Our host met us in person, making the check-in process very easy, and shared helpful local recommendations. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including free Wi-Fi. The terrace is a fantastic feature—while it was too chilly for us to use this time, it’s perfect for families with children. Highly recommended! Nothing.
• GRAHAM (1/5): - Unbeknown to us, we were not given the exact address of the property by booking.com before leaving Australia on 9/7/25 When arriving in Barcelona our taxi could not find the property, nor could other hotel staff in Barcelona who tried to help us locate or contact you. They advised us that our booking with you was most likely a scam. The phone number that you gave us did not connect We had to arrange and pay for alternative accommodation for the required 3 nights in Barcelona Our Australian phones could not receive your emails sent to us after 9/7/25 As booking.com did not make sufficient arrangements for us to find and access the property, we would like you to refund our $Aus 1,681.25 that we paid to you for this booking. The location is convenient with restaurants and cafes in the immediate area. The host is friendly, helpful and responsive. I would stay here every time! Could use new towels and a dish sponge but this obviously did not detract from a wonderful stay.

Jeff provided an address very near the property along with transfer details from the airport the day prior and met us at the arranged time. His recommended restaurants that we tried were very good. Had a problem with the AC which was fixed very quickly. Highly recommend. Beds are quite hard and a few tea towels would be handy.

• Peter (6/5): Actually enjoyed our stay but it was not what nor where we had booked. - The apartment was roomy enough and comfortable. The apartment we booked was for the Gothic quarter as per booking.com website. However, on the day of arrival It turned out to be a 30 mins walk away. Only found out on the day of arrival but was informed that I had been sent an email the previous day. Well a message received at 9pm on the night before travelling was neither read nor really good enough. The blurb states we would be kept informed 3-4 days before our arrival. I had already asked 3 times re the properties location and had received no reply at the time. As some previous guest's had said' I guess that they allocate your apartment based on availability a couple (if that) days before your arrival. We were lucky as the place was nice but the annoyance didn't leave me feeling good about Lux nor Booking.com whom obviously have a weak advertising screening policy. The guy who let us in was polite and enabled us to get into the accommodation earlier after we asked. In conclusion, I wouldn't book any accommodation on the proviso that you'll get what they have at the time of arrival.
• Emily (6/5): The charm of a European apartment is there, but there were disappointment and inconveniences. - Had the charm of a pretty European apartment with a terrace. The booking was somewhat misleading. We thought we were staying in a place with views of the Cathederal when in reality we were by a graffiti laden park. The marijuana smell in the apartment and on the furniture was profound. All the towels were in the dryer when we arrived but none of the dried after hours. We ended up taking apart part of the dryer, cleaning it and separating it in to loads.

• Komal (8/5): Over all a nice stay! - The host provided excellent assistance, and the location is highly convenient, with the metro station just a three-minute walk away. This makes it an ideal spot, especially for families needing easy access. There are plenty of nearby dining options, and the apartment itself is super clean with comfortable beds. The host didn't disclose the exact location, so we met them at a nearby landmark. They then escorted us to the property, which was just a three-minute walk away. Their explanation for not sharing property details beforehand was due to security concerns regarding theft. However, this reasoning seemed questionable to me, given that they do provide this information to guests who have booked through trusted platforms. Although the apartment we received was nice, it wasn't the one we had booked. During the booking process, you'll typically encounter various property images, but upon confirmation, you may see specific apartment visuals that don't match the unit provided. This could be due to the property having multiple apartments and allocating them based on availability but it is not pleasent when you have paid for a specific unit and receive something else.

Met us nearby and took us to apartment to run through appliances etc. Location was very convenient and apartment very comfortable, spacious and stylish. As we were staying five days, some washing machine powder would have been appreciated and an extra dishwasher tablet.

Didn’t like the fact that I really didn’t get to see what the apartment looked like from the information online. This did cause some disappointment as I believed the window opened onto views of the cathedral. Not sure why a correct image wasn’t used as the apartment is stunning.

• William (10/5): Wonderful spot in a beautiful part of town. - Clean and nicely appointed apartment with new appliances and air conditioning in each room. Carrefour grocery and metro are a short walk over to las Ramblas. The property is delightful! The elevator can be tricky, but it’s a classic. :) Oh, one bad thing… the host is not lying when he says watch out for pickpockets. Barcelona is the worst pickpocket town I’ve ever visited.

On a quiet street, we were able to walk within 30 minutes to all of the major sites (we choose not to use the bus or metro). The apartment was very comfortable and having 2 full bathrooms made life much easier. There were plentiful eating options in the immediate area.

• Vlad (10/5): Exceptional - very clean, amazing location, beautiful decor, facilities were all spot on. having mentioned we arrive at 10-10:30pm and having given regular updates to our whereabouts the host was still late, leaving us stranded in the dark city streets following a long journey. on top of this we paid 20euro late checkin fee (understandable had they been there waiting for us upon arrival).

Kitchen is small but has everything one could need (Coffee machine, water heater etc.) Host was friendly and very responsive to all our questions. The apartment in quite even though the area is sometimes very busy. We would highly recommend the place, if you are a tourist in Barcelona.

• Patrick (7/5): Central location, comfortable rooms, shifty customer service - Central location, walking distance to many attractions (e.g., Picasso Museum) and restaurants in El Born. Enjoyed the multiple Juliet balconies. Beds were large (queen) and comfortable. We appreciated the large common area with sectional. As another reviewer mentioned, the apartment we received was different from the photos accompanying the apartment we booked on Booking.com. A bit of a bait and switch at play as the apartment we received was still nice, but not as nice as those pictured, and also further away from the location indicated on Booking.com. The host would do well to provide actual photos of the rooms one books, although it seems they manage multiple apartments so likely just give customers whichever is available upon their day of arrival, but especially as the apartments they offer are priced differently. I was disappointed with the host. They declined to provide the apartment address until just a day or so before arrival, citing "security" concerns, although this fails to take into account the customer's security especially those who need to report their travel plans to their employers or would like to make restaurant bookings in advance. They likely do so, as mentioned above, because they don't know which apartment they will give you until just prior to your arrival. We also tried to secure luggage storage or early check in at time of booking. Ultimately we were advised to wait and see upon day of arrival. When that time came, we were told we should have booked an extra night before our arrival to receive early check in (we’re talking 2-3 hours here). In any event, it wasn’t possible as the previous guests overstayed their check out time. Otherwise, there is no luggage storage whatsoever, and we had to pay out of pocket to store our luggage at a nearby hostel. I was surprised to find, a week after our stay, a request for €199 in damages to a kitchen table. Suffice to say, we did not damage the kitchen table, and the request came approximately one week after the stay and without explanation or accompanying photos. Booker beware, you may be hit with an outrageous damages request after your stay, which thankfully Booking.com customer service intervened to stop.
• Chris (10/5): Had a great time 😁 - Location, location, location. Walked everywhere including the beach. Metro was 5 minutes away making it easy to get to Camp Nou for the game. Apartment was clean and nice patio to relax on.

For check in, the host should provide a correct address/nearby business name so that the guests will know where to pick up the keys. The inside temperature control was not very good. The thermostat did not cool but fans were provided. The cooking range(Stovetop) was difficult to operate. Touch sensors did not work well.
