• Nicole (9/5): historic apartment just steps away from the square - We were met at a central location and taken to the apt. Slavica showed us around the apt and gave us the keys and some general information about the apt. Whenenver we had a question she answered in a timely manner. She was very helpful in providing us with a person who picked us up at the Ferry terminal and took us to the airport after our stay. Katarina picked us up and she was lovely to talk to and gave us suggestions as to where to go and some things to do and when. Like walking the walls early before it got crowded or too hot. Very minor (a suggestion, really)... There were no beach towels or beach pads, as the beaches are rocky and the beach pads are great to lay on instead of the rocks.

The host Slavica was amazing and had great tips on where to eat, where not to eat and helpful tips on things to do. The property could use a bit of an upgrade in the lighting department. Every single light is a bright blue light that’s so bright that you want nothing more than to run out and hit the town… nothing wrong with that I suppose given the location right in the heart of old town Dubrovnik (Grad).

The location was perfect for everything we did in the old town. My only minor point is the beds were a little hard.
• Dean (10/5): A little hidden gem nestled in the beautiful old town - If you want to stay in the heart of the old town then this is the ideal accommodation for location and comfort. The host does above and beyond to ensure you have the perfect stay.
• Mark (9/5): Great apartment in Dubrovnik city! - The apartment is very well located, not far from the Stradun, harbour, restaurants and all sightseeing and amenities. Although not far from the city centre the apartment was very quiet and peaceful at night. A few steps, but not a problem for us, although I wouldn't recommend for people with limited mobility. The apartment was extremely comfortable for our 4 night stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The host Slavica was easily contactable, she even bought a toaster along for us. Leo was on hand to collect us from the airport, phoning Slavica in advance so she could meet us and take us to the apartment. Leo took us back to the airport for our flight home. Current charge 40 Euros each way. Just one little thing, if you arrive on a Sunday the local supermarkets are not open. We had tea and coffee facilities, but would have appreciated some milk as it was Sunday. Nothing at all

A nice spacious apartment, well equiped and really unique with the back wall being the rock which the apartment is set into. The property manager was super nice and great to communicate with. The floor was a bit sandy in some areas which might have actually come from the back wall rock. However this was only a minor issue and didn’t detract from our stay.

Bed's very comfy but what really stands out is the host who was incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond!! Our host Slavica was extremely helpful and met us at the Buza gate to accompy us to the nearby apartment. Apartment was in an excellent location very close to everywhere we could want to go inside the Old Town walls. It was also very clean and had all the facilities we could need for our 5 night stay. Highly recommended.

Slavica, who manages the property was so accommodating and helped us with all our transfers to and from. Even though the main square is at the bottom of the street it was quiet at night. The location is superb but be prepared for a lot of steps … the street, like many in Dubrovnick old town, is very steep. Nothing

Perfectly located to experience everything on offer in Dubrovnik, with minimal steps to your apartment from the gate to the old town. The apartment location is surrounded by restaurants, and all attractions, including the entry locations to walk the wall. Our host, Slavica, was incredibly welcoming, informative, and one of the highlights of our stay! I recommend that you seek any guidance from Slavica for your experiences, including recommendations for drivers, restaurants and main sightseeing attractions. Yes there is an internal staircase, but this is the old town of Dubrovnik and it only adds to the charm of this apartment, as do the exposed rocks in the kitchen, which stays naturally cool in summer. There is a great washing machine and a little clothesline outside the bedroom windows. For an authentic Dubrovnik experience, this apartment is perfect! We loved everything!

• Allen (10/5): Overall, this apartment near the Buza gate is fantastic, and well managed by Slavica. - Our host Slavica was very accommodating and organized our pickup at the rental car agency, as well as made sure our son got an early ride to the airport the next morning. We stayed here two nights with a trip to Korcula in between. The apartment is built into the hillside and is two levels. It’s clean and well appointed. We had an enjoyable stay. Nothing of importance . One small suggestion is to extend railing at top of stair beyond first step, could be a concern in middle of night trip between bedroom and bathroom.

We loved this apartment and felt like “locals” in the old town. It is a unique style (cool kitchen built into the rock wall), is close to The Stradun and all the sites but far enough away from the bars/restaurants to be lovely and quiet at night. Very happy with our stay! There are a lot of stairs to the apartment and generally around the old town of Dubrovnik - this did not bother us but might be relevant for those with mobility issues. The bathroom is small for 4 people but a minor inconvenience given the fun style of the apartment overall.

• Shin-e (10/5): Spectacular, quiet, beautiful apartment in Old Town - Our host was super accommodating and very communicative regarding what time we would arrive to get the keys. The unit was gorgeous, built into the stones on the hill. It was very hot out but even without air conditioning the apartment was cool and comfortable. Everything was available including a laundry. The great thing is the apartment is near one of the entrances to old town so we didn't have to walk far with our luggage in old town (which doesn't allow cars). It's down a charming little side street that's quiet, away from the craziness of the main part of old town but only 2 minutes away from it. It was the perfect place to stay in Old Town Dubrovnik. nothing
• Chi (10/5): del Mare Apartment is excellent and located within easy reach for everything you need. - Slavica kept me well informed at all times. She arranged personal transfer from the airport and it was lovely to see her waiting for us when we arrived. The property is less than 2 mins walk from the top of Buza Gate at the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a family vacation. Despite it being at the heart of the Old Town, the apartment is quiet but yet only you find the streets below are full of tourists, restaurants, shops, museums, pier. Buza beach is only 5 mins walk away too, with plenty of local supermarkets. Slavica is always there to help with anything you need. We look forward to visiting again. The shops in and around Dubrovnik are small and have limited shops. Prices tend to be higher than the rest of Europe. Dubrovnik is a gem and always busy with Tourists, so I guess prices are driven by demand.

• Kurt (10/5): Highly Recommend! - The apartment is VERY conveniently located near the Buze Gate, which means much less walking with luggage from a drop-off point near that gate. While there's no getting around walking up and down steps in Old Town, the apartment is located near the top of one of the shortest streets between the city wall and the Stradum, for which we were thankful every time we returned to the apartment from the Stradum, which was often. Slavica is great to work with. Great communication and availability to answer questions or provide help. When the apartment hair dryer died, she brought one to use the next day. And although a late checkout may not be available for everyone due to a couple of variables, she was able to accommodate ours and allow us to leave our luggage until it was time for our ride to the airport. We appreciated being met upon both arrival and departure, with being provided with helpful information, and being provided with help transporting luggage. Although it cost a bit more than other options, we chose to book our airport rides through Slavica. The coordination between her and the driver made for a smooth arrival to and departure from the apartment. We liked the driver enough to book a day trip through him. It was more than a ride. His knowledge of anything we could think of to ask him was incredible. He was like a tour guide. As can be seen in the photos, the apartment kitchen is very unique with it's rock walls. More important, it had everything we needed for preparing a few meals. It also has a clothes washer, which we made use of, drying our clothes via a line accessible via a bedroom window. The dining and living areas were spacious enough for the three of us. The bathroom is somewhat small but adequate. The shower was decent size and there was plenty of hot water. The beds are very comfortable. The pillows could be a bit smaller, but they're nothing to complain about. We've encountered such pillows often in Europe and just deal with it. Nothing.
• Christina (8/5): Very central but a bit dark apartment. - Location in Old Town was really nice. Easy to reach through the Buza Gate . Slavica was a helpful host and set up our pickup from the airport. The double bed was comfortable (but the twins weren’t so comfortable). The kitchen had a unique feel with a rock wall in it. The apartment was a bit dark. Because you’re in the heart of the old town, there just isn’t a lot of sunlight. There was a dehumidifier to run that helped keep things from being musty.
