• Urszula (10/5): A beautiful, authentic place with a real soul - We had an amazing time at Villa Bona Dubrovnik. The owner was super nice, open, and friendly. He shared a lot of his knowledge about Dubrovnik with us, which was really interesting. The property itself is beautiful. I love places that have their own history. Because it's the owner's family home, you can really feel it has a true soul—not like those modern, grey-painted apartments without any character. It felt very warm and family-like, especially outside in the garden with all the flowers and vegetable beds. We had absolutely everything we needed. The view from our window was lovely, and the pool was very clean and well-kept. It also looked beautiful at night with the lights on. After a long, busy day of sightseeing, I was always really happy to just come back there, relax, and look at the city panorama. Highly recommended!

• Nicole (9/5): Einfach schön, familiär, liebevoll! - Das Apartment ist groß und hat alles was man braucht. Das Steinhaus ist angenehm kühl und hat eine Klimaanlage. Das Pool ist wunderbar und sehr schön. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich. Wir haben den Parkplatz nicht gefunden und wir werden sofort abgeholt. Einfach total lieb. Es wurde uns alles erklärt ein kaltes Wasser angeboten. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt! Wir waren unten mit Gartenblick, oben hat man bestimmt einen wunderschönen Meersblick. Dubrovnik ist eine entzückende, allerdings teure Stadt mit tausenden Stufen ;-). Jeder Weg ist schnell anstrengend in Kombination mit der Temperatur. Die Lage ist sehr gut. In 4 Minuten ist ein Bäcker und Supermarkt erreichbar, wenn man den schnellsten Weg findet und in die Altstadt braucht man ca 15 Minuten. Anreise AUTO: Parkplatz hat eine andere Adresse ;-), wird alles erklärt, wenn ihr bekannt gebt, das ihr den Parkplatz braucht.

Veľké ďakujem im patrí za prekvapenie, ktoré pripravili a taktiež za ich ľudský prístup. Ubytovanie disponuje parkoviskom ktoré je zadarmo a aj bazénom, ktorý sme v lete využili.

• Aleksandar (5/5): Nice apartment by itself, but the owners need to change a few things. - The room was nice, clean, well furnished with everything you might need. The view was good, as it was top floor of the house. It has a pool, which we didn't use, but it seemed nice and clean. It is situated in relatively short walk to the old town. There were two main issues: 1. Very difficult communication - after the reservation, we received in a message here in booking some information regarding the stay and FOUR phone numbers for contact. Upon replying back almost immediately on the message, no answer was provided there until 2-3 hours AFTER we have already checked in. Of all the numbers provided they ansewred only one, after long ringing. No text were answered, although some number were labelled as "WhatsApp" and "Viber" 2. The air conditioning - that was the biggest issue for us. Upon arrival the AC was not working and as mentioned, it was a top floor in a sunny 32+ degrees day. It was very hot in the apartment. Didn't think much of it at the time, just switched in on and in 2-3 hours it was fine. The bigger problem was, that there was a note on the front door, that said "please switch off all light and AC upon leaving the apartment", which is very strange and I did not do it, because as I said it was hot summer day on top floor, but I at least lowered it, so it works less. The unpleasant surprise was, that upon returning to the room, the AC was switched off, which was terrible, as the temperature have become least 26-27 degrees in the room, so no way to fall asleep. The bigger issue for us was that this means that someone entered in our room without our consent to switch it off, which is a big No-No for us. Its their apartment, but we paid to use it, so if I want the AC to work, it should work 24/7, its not like the apartment was 50EUR per night..

Place was nice a with a pool and garden, and the host was super friendly with great tips about the city. Happy with a pleasant stay.
• Emma (10/5): Perfect stay at Villa Bona - We have just returned from a great stay at Villa Bona. We were a family of 5 and rented 2 apartments. Great location a short walk to the old town but far enough to enjoy peace and tranquility away from the chaos. The accommodation is lovely and clean and has everything you need. Pool area is spotless. We loved having a dip after a busy day and catching up on the terrace mornings and evenings. Tony is a wonderful host, so helpful and friendly. Great value for money.
• Florence (9/5): I had an amazing stay, thank you. - The apartment was much bigger than expected. Everything was clean and functional. The outdoor area is beautiful and there are a lots of little birdies around (swifts) that makes beautiful songs, we really enjoyed looking at them. I felt relaxed and welcomed straight away. Excellent location with sea view, a few minutes walk away from the path that brings you up the mountain. Quiet area and we cant hear the traffic. If you come by car, make sure you ask how to get to the property as the road may not be suitable for your vehicle as it is very tight. Of course, I am not forgetting to thank Tony for his welcoming, nothing was too much bother and was always happy to help. there is nothing we did not like, but just so people are aware. If it is important to you, the wifi is not always reliable (In this particular flat, may be different in the other flats). It did not particularly bother us as it was a good excuse to disconnect, but I got the best connection in the bedroom and outside. It was hit and miss in the living room. This did not affect accessing Netflix on the TV.

• Tracey (10/5): Home from home within easy reach of the old city - We had a fabulous stay at Villa Bona. There are only four guest rooms which makes this a peaceful and friendly place to stay. Toni could not have been more helpful or accommodating and really made us feel at home. The accommodation is simple but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. It was lovely to be outside the old city and be able to escape the hustle and bustle and relax by the pool at the end of the day, yet still be within easy walking distance, with supermarket and bars/cafes within easy reach too. We were happy that the kitchen was so well equipped; we chose to eat out except for breakfast but could easily have self-catered in the apartment. I'd suggest booking transfers with Villa Bona, Toni was a great source of information during the journey. It wasn't a problem for us, but this property would not suit somebody who can't manage steps.
• Samantha (10/5): Lovely tranquille villa - Lovely location, really tranquille, only 15 mins from old town, slightly uphill but very easy walk to get into centre and back. Room was nice and clean and host was very welcoming and helpful. Villa felt very safe, was set back from path and property was surrounded by walls on all sides with locking door at front of perimeter. Pool was lovely and got lots of sun throughout the day. Excellent value for money, would greatly recommend staying here nothing
• Fredrik (10/5): Exceptional - Pool facility near old town top floor had a great view. Friendly staff and the shuttle service to and from airport was great. If you don't mind stair there was backery and grocery store quite near for me it was a lovely morning walk to wake up. You did bump your head a few times on the top floor as it had an inclined ceiling. It is just about 1km to old town but it do feels longer as there is quite a lot of stairs to take especially home when it is uphill but we managed that by using uber. It's about 5e with uber to old town.
• Michael (4/5): Disappointing spoiled by argumentative landlord - Excellent swimming pool and terrace. Kitchen well equipped and functional Landlord has a friendly demeanour initially but was quickly argumentative and dismissive of any of our concerns. This spoilt our stay in Dubrovnik. This occurred when Wifi did not work for either my wife and I so unable to complete work tasks. Shower fittings basic so cannot stand under the shower without holding it above you - we are not fans if this No air con in bedroom; had to keep windows open which felt insecure. Beds were not comfortable for us; pictures look like a double but the two twins together have a gap in between so less acceptable to us (appreciate others may not care). Access difficult; taxis cannot get up narrow approach road so must drag your luggage approx 100m and then up stairs between other private properties; not lit at night; I am partially sighted in only one eye and the stairs are tricky at night. Cats tried to enter our rooms and tried to jump on our dining table whilst eating. We couldn’t get any tv channels ; we presume this may have been due to lack of internet? Hot water ran out after s quick shower. In our opinion there would be other better options.
