Guest Reviews
- Bogdan (7/5): - The host was friendly .
Very informative when asked questions .
One down side is the room is very crowded.
Small .
That's it .
Very good location with a bar right by the beach. Left us home made wine.
- qianzhi (8/5): A choice you will not regret. - The apartment has a view of the sea. The host was very proactive in sending us messages and was friendly and kind throughout our stay. The apartment was clean and well equipped. There is also a small supermarket nearby.
If the weather is not extremely hot, walking to the apartment is not a problem at all. We are fortunate to find the right place at the right time.
I would gladly recommend this apartment.
- Thomas (9/5): - Great location in the old town Stairs to bedroom
- Patrycja (8/5): - Właściciel zaprowadził mnie prosto do obiektu.
- Karolina (9/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Great host and property - Lovely room and kitchen bathroom at the city walls. It’s beach across from doorway. Ten minutes walk away from Pile Gate or Five from centre. Great location Stairs to bed were narrow. Fine for me but not for elderly. That’s literally the only downside it’s a perfect property
- Holly (10/5): -
- Anthony (7/5): - The location was great, very close to a wonderful view of the sea The toilet door was very flimsy and didn't afford any privacy
- Dorota (10/5): Miejsce z najlepszym widokiem na poranną kawkę - Miejsce polecam każdemu kto szuka ciszy i spokoju a zarazem chce poczuć klimat starego miasta Dubrownik.

- Dagmara (7/5): -
- Anton (9/5): Hab mich wohlgefühlt, hervorragende lage - Ein sehr kleines, aber liebevoll ausgestattetes Zimmer Keine Aussicht, dunkel
- Chloe (9/5): - Great location right in the walls, small room but we knew that when we booked and it wasn’t an issue as it was well laid out. Fridge is handy for snacks. Shower was hot and had good pressure The door of the bathroom doesn’t close so just make sure you are very comfortable with using the bathroom in front of your travelling companion!
- YUMA (9/5): -
- Katrina (5/5): - The location was great. The website indicated that there was a view, but you had to go up another flight of stairs, and you were greeted with boxes and building material, etc. When you got to the top you you also had to negotiate your way past laundry empty beer cans and cigarettes butts and ashtrays. The photos shown are of the bar area opposite. Which is a misrepresentation of the premise. The wooden stairs to the bedroom were very unstable. Also, the power point in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall. Location
- Tomas (7/5): Good location but questionable amenities - The location is amazing! You're in the middle of the Old Town next to the wall and some very cool Bars and swimming spots. The appartment is very small and you can barely see yourself in the bathroom mirror.
- chenzhe (10/5): - the host is very kindful and friendly. the location of the house is convenient for old town sightseeing.
- Helena (6/5): Basic but nice if you are out all day - It was in the center and convenient You could hear people who lived above us but not a big problem
- Shaun (8/5): -
- Kara (7/5): -
- Gazdolot (9/5): - Lokalizacja, wygodne łóżko, czystość.
- Mel (9/5): Superb - Small room but knew that when I booked… the location was incredible!! Right near the cliff bar… could not have been more perfect for sour needs
- Tyson (7/5): Good -
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional - Host and his grandmother were so so friendly and attentive
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mulhall (8/5): Very good - The location was brilliant and the lady who met us was really lovely and comprehensive definitely recommend to stay here if you get the chance Just a little bit of noise but more than manageable and you have to expect this with the location
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional - Really good prices for a nice little appartement with a good location to visit the old town of Dubrovnik.
- Ran (10/5): Breakfast on the sunny rock - The location is perfect, the entrance is almost opposite to a small door through the city wall, I enjoyed my breakfast on the sunny rock stairs with best sea view of Lokrum island. The apartment is clean simple functional, nice style. The host is communicative and friendly. Nothing
- Rick (7/5): Good -
- Catarina (5/5): Good if you don’t want to spend much money. - The location is amazing for the price you pay! The cleanness is not the best! The towels had spots, the toilet wasn’t very clean. We saw a cockroach thankfully only before we left.
- Kaitlin (10/5): Lovely - It was in a very good spot, tucked away enough but still close to everything you could want. The hosts were amazing, great at communicating and very flexible with check in times etc..
the space was small, so it was perfect for a solo traveller or couple As I was a solo traveller I didn't mind, however I saw another review saying the bathroom door could be an issue for some people, but that's the only thing I would think to say
- Mehmet (9/5): Location was central. Small tiny house. But it wasn’t looking so clean. Rest of it was perfect. Thank you - Perfect location, small tiny house. It wasnt looking so clean and old stuff
- Paula (2/5): NOT WORTH THE PRICE - Location es superb
Gifted a packet of cookies, that after a very long trip, were very much appreciated The “apartment” is slightly lower than the bottom floor with 2 tiny windows that barely let air in to get rid of the humidity smell
Because the apartment is so centric and at the same height as the street, its very noisy
The apartment had massive spider webs on the ceiling and corners; cups, mugs and cutlery were dirty (i imagine from the previous guests)
Sheets on the bed were small, pretty inconvenient, and stank of humidity/not properly cleaned
The apartment isnt functional: no place to leave towels or to open up a suitcase -let alone two!
Defenitely not value for money…
In my honest opinion, if i would’ve known, i would have preferred to stay outside of the old town and walk or uber to the old town and stay in a (probably) cheaper and better place
- Fahimeh (4/5): Disappointing -
- Eleonora (10/5): Exceptional - The location is just the best you can get!! Right in the old town close to everything,10 min away from Banje beach outside the old town gate. The best is that literally in front of the door there is an access to a nice spot on the rocks to do some swimming, with an amazing view! I went there like 5 times,I loved it. There used to be a bar but it's closed now.
Bed was confortable and good air conditioning. I was told I would have found shampoo and shower gel but wasn't there, not big deal anyway
- John (8/5): A decent room in Old Town that is very close to all the action, especially Buza Bar. - Our flight was scheduled to arrive late, nearly 10 PM, but then the flight was delayed more than 2 hours. Our host could not have been more kind and understanding. He met us at the unit shortly after midnight and did not leave until we had everything we needed. I can't say enough about the excellent service! The bed was a bit hard for me and my wife. We both woke up a few times needing some relief from the hard mattress.
- Moss (6/5): Very comfortable, authentic and in the best location. Thank you! - The location of this property is BRILLIANT. A literal stones throw away from one of the beaches and only a few minutes away from the centre of the old town. Even though it’s right where everything is, it’s tucked away enough that it isn’t noisy which is lovely. All I would say about the apartment we stayed in is that it is VERY small. It is literally an average sized bedroom and a tiny bathroom which doesn’t have a door but instead a shutter which doesn’t fully close so you have to be really familiar with the person you are staying with. You absolutely pay for the location and not the apartment itself, but regardless it was perfect to sleep in with a fridge, shower and comfy bed sorted us right out for a week.
- Kristyn (7/5): Good -
- Olivia (5/5): Great location poor cleanliness - The location was in a very good spot for the old town we were close to the port and all the local restaurants and bars. I noticed on the first day that there was a mark on the wall that looked like blood but was just passed it off. The day we were checking out my husband was in the shower and that’s when I noticed all blood on the outside of the shower curtain. The bathroom also got a horrible smell coming from the drains I think and it got worse as the time went on
- Vivian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - In a perfect location 5 minutes walk from the Main Street in the old town right beside the sea although you can’t see it due to the wall but there is a door through the wall right out side the front door to see the coast plenty of bars and restaurants around the guys were very nice to us as well
- Kara (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable bad, basic facilities, helpful host, excellent location
- Youssef (4/5): Disappointing -
- Scootmaroo (8/5): Lovely stay for one person. Room was small, so I would only recommend it for a single guest. - The owners son picked my up at the airport (transfer fee) and handed over the keys. Outstanding location, clean. Perhaps have as microwave available? Other than that, nothing to complain about.
- Jnixon19 (9/5): Superb -
- Daisy (2/5): Wouldn't recommend the ground floor "apartment" - Host is pleasant and we got a free bottle of wine and some grappa. Allowed us early check in. Mattress was nice. Very, very tiny; we wouldn't recommend. In a basement basically and a broken shutter for the bathroom "door".
Bad location as right next to a school so woken by loud children. Walls are paper thin, also, so woken by other guests going up and down the stairs, entering and exiting, etc.
No curtains - you better have an eyemask or not be bothered by the light!
A small button for the boiler which we weren't warned about so had hot water only one day of our stay and it doesn't last long anyways (about 5 mins).
No duvet and not very good pillows. No bathroom supplies. No anti-mosquito bits.
Fridge is very loud and there's no coffee to go with the kettle.
- Mariana (10/5): Everything was perfect, thank you very much. - Everything was perfect, thank you very much.
- Dlugosz (10/5): Cozy quaint beach vibe. Location ideal for spending a lot of time in city walls. - Location location location!
Loved proximity to everything we came to see.
- Ryutaro (7/5): Good -
- Harpal (10/5): Authentic old town apartment - The apartment was authentic in that it was situated in the old town and by a swimming area. It is located on the south side of the old town. The apartment is the perfect size for a solo traveller or couples. They also organised a taxi ride from the airport to just outside the old town after which it was a brief walk to the apartment with the driver. Overall it felt really safe and secure.
- Anonymous (8/5): Lovely 2 night stay! - Really good location in Dubrovnik old town opposite a bar with swimming. Lovely aircon! Host really accommodating! Small room but fine as we weren’t in it much!
- Leon (10/5): Perfect location easy place to stay! - Very grateful for the host waiting for us given we were late.
- Sanela (3/5): Poor - The property is located across from one of the most iconic bars in Dubrovnik (Buza Bar) which offers great sunset views and quick swims. The room can be described as tiny from the most optimistic of perspectives. It required significant acrobatics and logistics to house two people, especially considering the fact that the bathroom does not have an actual door (the plastic pull ‘curtain’ does not even close completely).
In addition, towels and sheets were stained upon arrival, cups were dirty, a foul stench emerged from the drains after a couple of days and ants gathered in droves along the floor.
- Rgvelasco (10/5): Stay within the walls of Old Town and get welcomed by Croatian hospitality, with wine and dessert! - This apartment is in Old Town! Like, literally inside the Old Town Dubrovnik, within its walls. It's well worth it to pay a bit more for a place where everything you want to visit and see is within walking distance. The room is small but enough for us and most especially it is in Old Town, we never expected to have a big room for a historical spot. The map may take you a few feet from the actual apartment, but just reach out to the landlord as they are easy to reach and communicate with. Speaking of the landlord, the landlord was pretty cool! We were welcomed by a complimentary bottle of Croatian white wine and a couple of traditional Croatian desserts. How awesome is that???
- Jennifer (10/5): Cute, Beachy - You can't beat the location. The place looked like a cute beach cottage. Everything was very clean. My friend hurt his leg. The room has steep stairs leading to a loft style room. He had trouble but I don't think it's a major negative - just be aware.
- Sergey (8/5): Very good -
- Philippacasement (1/5): Bad -
- Giorgi (9/5): Superb -
- Nacor (1/5): Bad -
- Victoria (10/5): Great location, great value, comfy bed - Great location
Great value Front door main lock was abit dodgy so was hard to get in sometimes
- Isayvani (8/5): felt like a local after a few days and tje hosts weree extremely helpful. - perfect location opposite the small buza bar and ideal location in the old town.
- Joanne (4/5): Great location - Communication from the host was good. Picked us up from the airport (for a fee, which was worth it) and took us straight to the apartment which was great after a late flight. Apartment location was excellent, right in the old town near the walls and right opposite the hole in the wall to the 'beach'. Away from the business of the main Street so was a bit quieter. We knew the apartment would be small (it was tiny) and as a base this was ok for us. Room was clean and the fridge was handy. Hairdryer also a big bonus. Decent value in a city as expensive as Dubrovnik, as a base for a couple of nights this place is probably be fine but wouldn't recommend for longer stays. Apartment was a bit dark and a bit damp after a few days. Thin veil over window so very light and hard to sleep. Very noisy, could hear pretty much everything from the people staying in the apart above. Outside main door is a bit fidly, we were woken up twice by people either being locked out and banging the doors to be let in or locked in as they couldn't open the door. Not necessarily hosts fault if a shared building but negatively impacted our stay as we're we the ones at ground level who heard all the noise. Main thing was the bathroom didn't have a door! Had a sliding plastic shutter which didn't close all the way and left a huge gap so no privacy when using the bathroom at all. Also meant the room smelled liked drains after a few days using the shower as there was no separation from bathroom to room.
- Sam (2/5): Cheap but Disappointing - The location was fantastic, right off the sea and old city walls. The property was poorly kept and heavily under cleaned. There was no working bathroom door, a lack of hot water in the shower and the room smelt like sewage every morning.
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were phenomenal and very sweet. Very welcoming and accommodating for us on arrival and throughout our stay.
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shehi (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (9/5): We tremendously enjoyed our stay. - The location was perfect. The stairs within the property were steep. It was fine for us but those booking the property should be aware.
- Adam (10/5): Highly recommend this place for your Dubrovnik stay! - Our host picked us up from the airport and took us directly to the apartment. The location could not have been better for Old Town Dubrovnik!
- Matilda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anja (8/5): Very good - We were worried because of the bad reviews but the apartment is completely fine. It is small but its perfect for 1 or 2 person if you dont plan to spend all of your time there. The bed is fine and all in all we liked it. Its a cute small apartment and we liked the galery with the bed. The location is definitely amazing and the host was kind.
