Guest Reviews
- David (9/5): Amazing stay in Dubrovnik - Everything! Nice location, Charming home design & cozy, and super owner!
- Zuleyka (9/5): Perfect location! Nice place, great value - Location! , clean and can accomodate a good group A bit outdated but not big deal. It offer good value and it is part of the charm
- Oliver (6/5): Ok, - Location was perfect, Washing machine was only for housekeeping and was listed that it was apart of the apartment to use.found the apartment very dusty like we where the first people of the season and giving a light clean, the front door glass panel was broken and held together by sellotape and when the wind was heavy you could feel the breeze in the house.
- Ella (9/5): Fantastic stay - Great location in the Old Town. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning and hot water available to both showers. Water was clean for drinking. Property had real character unlike most hotel rooms. Peter our host was friendly and helpful and trustworthy. Two mid 60s parents and two mid twenties daughters really enjoyed our stay at Blue Symphony. Recommended! Some potential guests should consider that like in many properties in Dubrovnik there are stairs to climb to get to Blue Symphony and that two bedrooms are upstairs too.
- Rattenbury (10/5): Cozy artistic apartment with a great location in the Old Town. Easy walk to restaurants/sites. - Peter was wonderful! He met us at the property at 10 am so that we could drop off our bags, because check-in was not until 2 pm and the other guests were still there. Peter provided us with an alternative way to get to the apartment that had fewer stairs, which was super helpful. Peter was very responsive.
- Dominik (10/5): Weekend Trip - tolle und ruhige Lage, Platz für 5 Erwachsene, Einrichtung entspricht den Bildern.
- Eric (9/5): Séjour très agréable. Localisation parfaite. - La propreté, l’emplacement et conforme à l’annonce
- CHARLOTTE (9/5): - Wonderfully creative and quirky decor. Very comfortable. Excellent location, very central to the beautiful old town.
- Gary (8/5): -
- Sonia (9/5): - This is a lovely apartment in the Old Town with a fantastic host. The location is terrific and you get the full old town experience. The apartment has two bedrooms upstairs, one with an ensuite cupboard with shower only - no toilet. The room downstairs is either a living room or bedroom with sofa bed and curtains as the wall. The kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom downstairs has a washing machine. Importantly in summer the air con keeps the place lovely and cool.
- Kumaran (8/5): - Great location in the center of the old town close to restaurants and markets. The owner was nice and informative. Value for money. Quite old apartment and furnishings. (understandable since this is part of a heritage area). Was little noisy with people walking on the street through the day. Only 1 toilet although there are 2 bath rooms.
- Maria (8/5): - Fantastiskt läge, ett genuint boende mitt i old town Dubrovnik. Sköna sängar, rent, svalt och skönt i huset. Trevlig och tillmötesgående värd. Inte handikappsvänligt, men det var förväntat. Brant trappa i lägenheten, inte optimalt för oss över 180cm. Hade gärna haft ac i sovrummen.
- Lydia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mendi (7/5): Good location for activities inside the wall with a responsive host. - The location is great for doing activities inside the wall. Be prepared for many stairs to get to Blue Symphony. The host provides directions for getting there with the least number of stairs, which was a bonus and very much appreciated. There are 3 gates within a 5-10 minute walk. It is clean with a sufficient number of towels. The host is available for questions and is easy to communicate with. The mattresses & pillows could use updating. While the home is a nice size, small tables, chairs, and decorations take up much space that could be used by travelers for their things or stretching out. For example, space for hanging clothes in the closet was limited because of stacks of blankets and pillows. We like it cold for sleeping and were asked not to set the temp below a specific temperature.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (8/5): Great property and thoughtful host. - Location. Uniqueness Wall hangings (fabrics and faux plants) interesting though dusty.
- Joseph (10/5): The PERFECT choice for the discerning, independent traveler. And ideal for families! - Peter is an exceptional host in every sense. He was so welcoming, kind, and attentive. His English is excellent, and he answered any questions we had about Dubrovnik. The apartment is so much more than we could've hoped for—right in the middle of Old Town, but enough off the main thoroughfare that it was quiet at night. (And like everywhere in Old Town, you will be climbing stairs to get there, and cars aren't allowed past the city walls, so plan ahead when you pack!) Rooms are spacious, the kitchen and bathrooms are great, and the washing machine was a huge convenience for us with two little kids. Clothes are dried Italian style on a line off the second floor window, which in May is about as fast as a drier and leaves garments feeling much fresher anyway.
One touch we really appreciated was the wall artwork inside Blue Symphony; Peter is a composer, and has painted beautiful little sketches of musical passages and instruments in fun little spots around the apartment. What a delightful place.
10/10 on everything.
- David (9/5): Great location, just 3-5 min walk to the main street. - This property is perfectly in old town Dubrovnik. Its a nice old fashioned home that adds to the ambiance of the city. The property owner was very kind. He even allowed us to keep our luggage on site after we had checked out because we had a walking tour of the city.
- Archana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment in the heart of the old town and very kind and helpful host!
- Lachlan (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (9/5): Cute apartment in central Dubrovnik - Great host, lovely quirky apartment in a good location in the old city. Yes there are stairs, but that's Dubrovnik!! Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Host was great with recommendations for food and activities. Nothing
- Kasia (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic apartment in a great location. The host was very accommodating, the facilities were great, the apartment was clean, I highly recommend it and would stay there again.
- Joanne (6/5): Quaint apartment in old town - The location was excellent. The accommodation was very historical. We had everything we needed. Our host was very generous in giving us a later checkout to match our transfer time. The bed linen, pillows and towels need to be refreshed. It would have made a big difference to my comfort to have new, clean white cotton sheets and bedding.
- Syed (10/5): Exceptional - Great host
Very helpful
Perfect location and easy to find.
- Anne (9/5): Perfect location, great apartment & host -
- Stephen (4/5): Check carefully the property description as it was found to be misleading. - Misleading advert when choosing the property. No living area - instead used as a bedroom separated to the kitchen by thin curtain. No toilet upstairs when it leads you to believe it had an ensuite and a bathroom, lack of electric points and extensions leads everywhere. No city view. I would actually like a refund as it was expensive, wrongly advertised and impacted our holiday.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - The place is absolutely fantastic and authentic. The historical surroundings and apartment are just what you would expect and love if you are wanting to stay in Old Town. It is called Old Town for a reason. Peter is a great and helpful host and is very welcoming.
- Natali (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (10/5): Beautiful trip - Great location
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Peter was very welcoming host, giving us a tour of the apartment. Allowed us to check in early which was very kind.
Great location to explore old town.
- Sabrina (8/5): Very good - Very good location, spacious for two couples. Friendly host. There is only one toilet. Too heavily decorated.
- Ashley (10/5): Lovely and comfortable apartment. - The apartment was so beautiful and still has a historical charm even though it’s newly renovated. It was very spacious and clean and we were very comforted coming back after a long day. Our host, Peter was the most lovely person who was so generous and helped us carry our bags up and down the stairs to the apartment and even gave us cake!
- Aneta (9/5): Superb - Very good location you could buy new bedding, the existing one may have been clean but it was very worn
- Qiu (10/5): Friendly kind man. The host had very good service - Peter was very friendly and gave us a tour around the lovely apartment. He was willing to accommodate and was very thoughtful for us with the check-in and check-out time. Very kind man who helped us to carry luggages to steep stairs. Lovely person! Highly recommended!
- Miroslaw (9/5): Friendly owner and great location. - The owner is super helpful and friendly. The apartment is in great location. It's a great base for exploring Old Town. Price to value is also OK. The interior design is unusual and not everybody may like it.
- Gerard (3/5): Poor - Location excellent The description of rooms was incorrect, we needed 5 separate beds, and they were doubles. The photos on Booking.com gave a false impression of how nice and modern the place was. Kitchen and utensils basic.
- Wendy (7/5): Good -
- Aleksandra (7/5): Good - Blue Symphony is a great location if you want to explore Dubrovnik old town. You’re in the heart of it here! Be prepared to lug suitcases up lots of stairs.
- Claire (8/5): Great stay, apartment had everything we needed. - 17th Centry apartment in great condition right in the centre of the old town. Great value for money and plenty of space for two adults travelling with two teenagers. Apartment was comfortable and Peter was lovely, lots of good tips especially how to avoid all the stairs and where to park. No parking in old town and very expensive to pay within walking distance from the centre. Peter left the loft open for our teenagers- this wasn’t apart of our booking but very nice to have the extra space. The kids absolutely loved it. Parking was stressful but what was expected for such a busy area. Was surprised how much parking lots in the local area charged for parking.
- Beatrice (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Lovely spot in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik - The location of this apartment cannot be beaten. It is right in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik and walkable to most major tourist attractions.
The bedrooms were good, and the beds large and comfortable. There is a washing machine in the bathroom and a clothesline outside one of the bedroom windows for doing laundry. The kitchen has equipment enough to make basic meals.
The host, Peter, is lovely and made sure we had everything that we needed. The air conditioning unit is not powerful enough to cool the entire apartment when it is very warm in the summer months. It was approximately 32 Celsius during our stay and even with the bedroom doors open, the cool air from the air conditioning unit in the hallway. A small fan in the bedrooms would help move the air around.
- Henry (7/5): Good -
- Susannah (10/5): Great apartment in the old town! - Great location! The apartment was full of character, very clean and had all the amenities like a dishwasher, washing machine and AC. The owner Peter, was lovely and brought the kid’s chocolates when he came to meet us. There is a key lock box on the door which makes check in easy (you don’t have to wait around for someone to let you in). From other reviews we understood that the 3rd bedroom was actually a futon in the living room, but Peter explained there are attic stairs that pull down and there is a full 3rd bedroom and bathroom up there!
We had a perfect stay!
- Susannah (10/5): A Great Stay in the Heart of the Old Town - Great location on a side street. The apartment was comfortable, clean and colorful. It had AC, dishwasher, washing machine with outdoor drying line, and the owner, Peter, was lovely. There is a key lock box on the door so once you have the key code, getting in is easy and you don’t have to wait around for someone. From other reviews, we understood that the 3rd bedroom was actually a futon in the living room, which was fine for us, but Peter explained that there was a 3rd bedroom and bathroom in the attic which is accessed by pull down attic stairs! Overall we had a perfect stay and found the place to be good value. The booking agency wasn’t easy to communicate with and they send the “check in” information which is actually just directions with photos to get to the place. After numerous emails asking how to actually get into the apartment (we were arriving at an odd time), they finally gave me Peter’s number. Once I called him on WhatsApp, he gave me the code to the key box and it was a breeze.
- Nedia (2/5): Very poor - One air conditioning unit but it did cool off all the apartment Location too many steps to get to it and with luggage it should have been mentioned at least 80 steps to haul your luggage up. The decor was very unusual and only one bathroom not two for the 3 bedrooms which one bedroom is a combination bedroom/living room. Bedsheets were old and didn’t feel clean . Towels were scratchy and only one per person. The owner never showed his face and never agreed to hold our luggage for a few hours on day we were leaving ..
- Lesley (8/5): Great base for a few days of exploring the old city and surrounding areas. Thank you. - Central Location within old city walls. Very clean and comfortable . Authentic Croatian style and beautifully decorated.
- Kelly (8/5): Great vibe - Great location and unique decorations. I usually prefer a modern apartment or hotel but the vibe of Blue Symphony has that old town feel that’s perfect for a stay in Dubrovnik! Direct Booker who manage the property have a monopoly on accommodation in Dubrovnik and dealing with them in the lead up to our stay felt impersonal and not always easy. However, on the day we were put in touch with the owner who gave clear instructions and was available to answer questions.
There were 5 of us staying but only one toilet.
- Shiao (9/5): Great location in the old town, was a short walk from everything. - It had a nice design and was able to accommodate my whole family There were quite a bit of steps that we had to walk up to get to the apartment
- Anonymous (10/5): Loved staying here, super fun property and welcoming host! - This property had SO MUCH PERSONALITY (and so did the awesome owner, Peter!). It was amazing staying in a piece of Dubrovnik history. I don’t want to spoil the surprise but just let me say it is FULL of surprising and delightful quirks.
- Rhianon (6/5): A quirky apartment in a great location - Great location inside the walls of the old town. The owner was welcoming and accommodating with arrival/departure times. This is a very good base for sightseeing if you are mobile and active. It was fantastic value for money. The apartment was a good place for a base if you don’t intend spending a lot of time in the property. It is advertised as 3 bedroom but the 3rd bedroom is the living area. The apartment is dark and the deco is tired. This place is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is only one toilet, which can be difficult for larger groups. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and chat and no outside space.
- Margarita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (10/5): Amazing place to stay if you are going to Dubrovnik - Really centric place to stay, near everything
