Guest Reviews
- Marna (8/5): Good location with all the necessities for a stay in Kingscote. - Location was excellent, easy to get around Kingscote without driving and easy access for driving to other locations. Lovely welcoming gifts. Well stocked for coffee & tea. Dining area (stools and bar) was a bit challenging for us seniors but functional. Drawers under bed were perfect for storing our clothes but mostly filled with extra bedding and other supplies.
- Bernard (8/5): Fantastic Location to Explore Kangaroo Island - Location fantastic. Supermarket 3 minute walk away. We made the effort to head to the jetty for sunrise and the views were incredible. Also close to coastal walk!
- Karen (9/5): - Location and views. Modern bathroom. Great for a couple of days.
- Vineta (9/5): -
- William (10/5): Fantastic - Location, lovely owners Nothing

- Janet (8/5): - Closeness to town, everything clean and tidy well equipped. Room was quite bright at night found it difficult to get to sleep.
- Debby (9/5): We had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again - Location is perfect - within walking distance of Kingscote cafes, restaurants and shops.
For those who don't mind a longer walk, there is an excellent winery that you can reach on foot so no need for a skipper and everyone can enjoy the tasting.
Layout of the room is good and the shower and supplied amenities were excellent. A small table to put cups on whilst sitting in the armchairs would have been appreciated.
The only downside to the location is the boxing gym across the street that starts very early in the morning and the music/noise from the workout space can be loud when their back door is open
- Frieder (8/5): - Die Lage und ansprechende Optik des Apartments Die Matratze war zu weich oder sie war total durchgelegen. Hier sollte ein Austausch stattfinden
- Wijemanne (8/5): A cozy little place with a fantastic view and a small garden with pretty flowers. - Breakfast- Not applicable. However there were many restaurants located near by for our dinner. Finding out the exact location was bit difficult because the name board was not clearly visible from the road.
- Gael (10/5): Absolutely fantastic studio apartment. Location is brilliant, walking distance to everything you need. Spotlessly clean - Location is perfect. Walking distance to Drakes, restaurants & waterfront. Nothing
- Graham (6/5): Great location. Needs a bit of attention. At close to $800 for 4 nights? - The location was great. The bathroom and toilet well appointed. Shelves and power points and light switches beside the bed are good. The sheets and bedding and bathroom towels were beautiful, white and fluffy. An extra towel for a 4 night stay would have been appreciated. Parking onsite but the sign is a bit confusing to start. Grocery store just down the road. Frypan and microwave but no instructions for the microwave. The unit needs a little bit of maintenance. The laminate around the kitchen bench was 3/4 off. We stayed 4 nights and only 1 tea towel with a hole the size of a 50cent piece. The dinner plates were greasy. The unit is advertised as having a breakfast bar and study area. It is a bench under the window. One of the stools under the bench had a screw missing and was not stable. The shelves under the sink were dirty and there was a paint can and fly spray with the cooking dishes and utensils. It was very cold for our stay, the air conditioner was great but the external windows got a lot of condensation and ran down the wall. Window sills need some attention also the walls need a bit of paint due to people banging the walls. The cushions on the 2 lounge chairs were filthy. I am a tea drinker and while there is lots and lots of green tea, and coffee, not 1 black tea bag and no milk or creamer. Small long life carton would have been great or small jug of fresh milk. Something to start you off.
- Vicki (9/5): -
- Neil (9/5): Superb - Good location, kitchenette well equipped, spotlessly clean. Very prompt response to queries. No wardrobe/ shelving for clothing. Only a rack with some hanging hooks.
- Peter (6/5): Accommodation disappointing but location great. - As this was advertised as a one bedroom apartment it was very disappointing to find that it was a tiny studio. False advertising.
- Ute (10/5): Hidden gem in Kingscote Central - Everything was clean, functional and organised for our arrival. The appartment is conveniently located with off street parking for 1 car. Short 2 minute walk to the supermarket, 5minutes down the street to the waterfront and pub. No fuss on check out, just locked up and dtopped keys at specified location close to the appartement. The bedside lights were very dim. Great to find way around if needing to get up at night but unsuitable to read in bed.
- Davetye1955 (5/5): Passable - Location Too small and no secrets when people use the loo. Hand basin too shallow, no dining table inside, little room outside. There is a lovely outdoor garden behind a wooden gate all reserved for the larger cloudscape no 1. This are should be communal. I also think the price is excessive $400 a night is fair. I sense someone cashing in. Cheers Dave
- Todd (6/5): Satisfactory, very good location - Great Location, great shower Uncomfortable bed and pillows, property needs some TLC, no exhaust fan in bathroom, garden needs attention, freezer needs defrost
- Nigel (9/5): Just checked out from a 3-night stay this weekend and my partner and I couldn’t have been more happy. It was great value - Loved the cleanliness, comfort and location
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kaz (8/5): The location was amazing, kitchenette was just ok, the shower was lovely. - The location was amazing It was quite small, and needed a tidy up outside. I know it was windy but the bbq needed a clean and shrubs needed pruning. Shrubs were rubbing against the building. The freezer was totally frosted and needed defrosting.
- Susan (6/5): Great location but unit needs a little thought - Lcation Not have big office chairs in a small space. No stove so would had liked bbq to be clean and useable and outside table and chairs cleaned so you could use them. Had trouble locating property so if trees cut back we would had been able to find the sign . Contact number no available. Fridge needs defrosting so freezer can be used. Could had been a great place
- Jacek (5/5): Passable - Location Dirty windows
- Sandy (8/5): Very good -
- Glen (7/5): Great location, value for money - Great central location, everything we needed in the town was 5 minute walk away TV needed WIFI connection. A couple of things looked a bit worn out and needed fixing or replacing.
- Dave (10/5): Well worth it if you can book it. - Location, location, location. A hidden gem 2 minutes walk to the supermarket 5 minutes walk to pubs and restaurants. Feels great having the place to yourself.
After travelling it is heaven having a proper home shower, not a temperamental hotel shower. The satellite channels are just freeview channels. Other than that the property was exceptional.
- Anonymous (9/5): Loved our time in Kingscote - Great location within walking distance to everything in Kingscote. Beautiful cool breeze in the evening being located on top of the hill. Apartment was clean/small but large enough for two people for the week. A bit bigger bench space would be ideal and a few more places to hang clothes.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fyfe (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Great location for exploring Kangaroo Island. - Cloudscape 2 was comfortable and had enjoyable views. It was an easy walk to cafes, the supermarket or the waterfront.
- Maryann (3/5): Poor -
- Belinda (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (5/5): Passable - It was close to everything,an easy walk to anything in town. Not suitable for an extended stay as no storage, even for suitcases . No room for the limited cooking facilities either . It does have a BBQ outside but it is need of a good clean.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Mio (6/5): Pleasant - Good location in Kingscote and good wifi No stove and provided electric cooking pan as well as gas bbq unusable. The latter probably has never been cleaned. Location is odd as it’s a commercial space converted to a studio.
- Alicia (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (8/5): Return visitor - Central location and quiet. The bed is very soft
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - All good very comfortable and well fitted out
- Graeme (8/5): Overall very happy. - Breakfast n/a. Location was excellent. Nothing.
- Brody (7/5): Good - Great location, has everything you need for a short stay. Blinds aren't great at keeping the morning sun out, can be annoying if you need a dark room to sleep.
- Kerry (7/5): Good - Walking distance to everything in town. Great bathroom. Good off-street parking. Great views. Nowhere to unpack suitcases for a 3 night stay. Forever bending down to the floor to get what we wanted from the suitcases.
- Manno (5/5): Passable - No breakfast included The apartment wasn't as clean as i expected.
Wet area had not been cleaned properly (previous occupants' hair etc.)
Coffee and tea supplies lacking...only 1 coffee sachet supplied.
- Gemma (10/5): Great stay. One of the power points in the bathroom didn’t work - Location Nothing
- Ann (7/5): Good - Kangaroo Island is amazing. Close to supermarket. Good bathroom. Small so only suitable for a couple of days.
- Irwin (7/5): Good -
- Mclaren (9/5): Great location and the on site parking made the world of difference to my business trip. - The location was perfect for my needs. The outdoor sitting area was small but comfortable.
- Sandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvie (7/5): Relaxing and peaceful - It was close to Main Street It needed a small couch to sit on instead of chairs and another small table
- Margaret (2/5): Cancelled extra days and very unhappy - Not much. On complaint , the booking service refunded us two days that we were booked in, but charged for the night be stayed there. That took 1 week to refund, and a number of requests. Was advertised as a 1 bedroom apartment, but really just small room with an ensuite, access at the back of a commercial building. The view was over the top of other buildings, and the noise from the road kept us up until 2 pm.
The bed was lumpy and we could not sleep. No table, or couch to view TV. Worse than most motel rooms, and very expensive for what it was.
- John (8/5): Very good - Good location. Good bathroom Tired pillows was minor complaint. Needs a bit of tlc as cracked wineglass; led lights over bed need changing as does mirror light.
- Angela (8/5): Within walking distance of EVERYTHING and quiet location. - Location was excellent - within walking distance of EVERYTHING from supermarket, pubs and service stations to cafe's and the beach. The shower is roomy and the provided hand/body washes and shampoo smell devine! The place is set back from the road so noise is minimal. The free wifi had excellent speeds. The mattress is very soft, which made it difficult to get out of. The blinds let in a bit of light around the edges so was a bit much at 6am (Summer). There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogs up.
- Jacqueline (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and do recommend this accommodation. - Location was excellent within walking distance to shops, cafes and hotels. There is water views from all windows. Bathroom bifold door was way too noisy needs replacing.
- Philip (8/5): Great location with a short walk into town. Convenient parking. - Location and parking were very convenient for the town. The beds were a bit old and soft for my liking, but I like a hard mattress.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (8/5): Very good central location to Kingscote. Good parking. Comfortable, secure and private. I would stay - Very good central location to Kingscote. Good parking. Comfortable, secure and private. I would stay again, perfect for a short business trip. .
- Marlene (9/5): Very relaxing time - Location was great walking distance to shops. Could not lock bathroom doors.
- Ann (8/5): Very good - Convenient location, own parking, clean. OK for a couple of nights, but lacked storage space, very little work surface and lacked ventilation in the en-suite.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dileepa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haley (10/5): Amazing, loved it Thankyou - Great location, great owners who we met gardening one day, affordable , NA
- Allison (8/5): Very good -
- Kg (8/5): Very good - The room was compact and functional. Clean and quiet with a Comfortable bed. Walking distance to grocery store and eateries. Could use a table rather than just a window bar
- Ya (7/5): Good -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Max (9/5): Superb -
- Dawnda (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Our stay was excellent - we had a wonderful three days. - The position of the studio apartment was excellent. It was very comfortable and the kitchenette was well set out. Comfortable chairs to sit in and a comfortable bed. The outdoor area, although small, was lovely to sit in to have breakfast and the garden plants were lovely. Supermarket just down the road.
- Bruce (6/5): Reasonable - not applicable the bedding linen and bathroom towels were quite old.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic location, so close to main street eateries and Drake's supermarket.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - A good location, comfortable and clean
- Gregory (9/5): Superb - location was great you could see the ocean from our windows not far to go for a meal.
- Jennifer (8/5): great location, but could see KI is 3 days. We booked 7 - porridge and honey left needs some maintenance,
- Tom (8/5): Great accomodation in a great location on KI - The room was a good size, it had everything I needed. Great shower! Signposting identifying the location, Had to drive up and down the street twice
- Leslie (8/5): Conveniently located, good views of ocean, good vaue for money - The property was in an excellent location, close to shops etc. Room was basic but had everything you required for a short stay. Good views from windows. Bed was a bit soft for me but otherwise nothing
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (8/5): Great location - Great location in the centre of Kingscote and right by the supermarket. No oil to use on the bbq or the electric fry pan. Pillows were terrible and need replacing. No day blinds on the windows so no privacy during the day. No box of tissues. Kept awake by mice during the night and I nearly stepped on a rat outside in the garden.
- Angela (8/5): Lovely location for business travel - Room was well situated close to supermarket and eateries. Garden was a bit over run and made it difficult to access path.
- Phil (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): A very pleasant week away despite the weather. - The right size in the right place. Grab-rail in the shower. As someone with a disability, I would have liked a grab-rail by the toilet
- Sandra (8/5): Kangaroo island - Very clean, great location, comfortable accommodation.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Very convenient to maintain town, modern facilities and very comfortable
- Brittany (9/5): Superb - Short walk to local stores, cafes and the beach.
- Rebekah (10/5): Absolutely loved it, great value for money - will be back! - Very clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. Excellent value that’s perfect for a solo traveller or couple who just need somewhere to rest their heads in the evening, without the price tag of a full-sized holiday home. Also has an absolutely gorgeous garden. Lack of privacy blinds was the only thing I would comment on, given that the main room doubles as the bedroom, and the windows are semi visible from the street.
- Jillian (7/5): Pleasant Stay on a Picturesque Island - The view from the apartment is lovely. It is located close to the Kingscote shopping area which is convenient.
The apartment was clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable. There is minimal equipment for cooking and space for meal preparation is limited.
Pillows are soft and in need of replacement.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lai (8/5): Very good -
- Burnsy71 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cloudscape in a geat location all very modern, clean and comfortable. - Great location in easy walk to everything. Cosy and comfortable . Very small but quire adequate for a short stay.
- Chris (9/5): Nice location. Close to many attractions - The view and location were great. Although there was no oven/stove, there was a barbecue available, an electric frying pan, a kettle and a toaster. Grocery store 50 metres away. Great Wifi and television. Nice private driveway for parking vehicle.
- Wendy (8/5): A haven each day after exploring KI. - Convenient for day trips and access to meals. Bed reading lights were ineffective.
