- Rochelle (4/5): Convenient and cheap ... but there's a reason why. Take heed of previous guest reviews. - Initial communication with the hosts was excellent. They answered all my questions and gave clear instructions as to where to collect the keys. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Linen and towels were clean. Being able to open the windows was good for air circulation. The location is in very close proximity to the tram, making public transport within the free tram zone very easy. Chinatown is right across the road. Southern Cross Station is about 5 tram stops away. It was good having a washer/drier and dishwasher, although I would recommend bringing your own detergent, etc. and some extra toilet paper if you are there for more than a night or two. The bathroom (shower and basin) and fridge need a deep clean - it did not look like any of these had been cleaned for quite some time, with used soap on the basin, and large, almost empty bottles in the shower, and the fridge had remnants of food that could have been wiped out. Everything else was a marginal/okay standard, if you didn't look too closely. One of the bedrooms has glass sliding doors that close it off from the living/kitchen area. These are tinted glass, but not obscured or frosted, so the privacy may be a problem for some (it didn't bother us). With the tram stop outside the building, the noise does travel.
As other reviewers have said, getting the bond back can be a problem. It took over 4 weeks to get mine back. After the third week there was no response. Previous to that was the promise TWICE that it would be refunded "as soon as possible". I did escalate this by raising my concern by contacting the service desk at booking.com. I would have taken this further if I did not get my money back, purely on principle. Within a few days, the money was refunded along with an apology from the hosts.
My overall rating would have been higher if the hosts had refunded the bond within the 14 days as stated in their own policy.

Loved that we could open the windows for fresh air.this place really suited our needs. There wasn't enough towels there for us. Only 3 when there was 4 guests. I had to use the bath mat as a towel. There should be a better way to communicate with the staff, when I rang with a query, they didn't answer the phone, and didn't text me back either. There was 2 phone numbers to call but neither of them answered.
- Jason (2/5): Stay was exceptable the hosts were untrustworthy and payment methods were questionable. - The location was excellentt central to theatres, restaurants and tram stops. Their was no tea towel, no plug for the sink and the unit wasn't supplied. With cleaning products. Not enough fresh towels for the week we stayed, and the unit was very dusty. After the stay was finished it was expected of me to fill out feedback with the promise of expediating the payment for my security deposit which I done the day of departure. Only to realize after checking my bank account the money wasn't deposited as promised within three business days. After multiple attempts to contact the hosts either via e-mail or phone, Once i set my mobile to private they miraculously answered the phone and found reasons why payment couldn't be delivered and then promising payment would be made within next hour which also was a lie. I rang the next day around the usual check-in time with my phone set to private and once again amazingly answering the phone. This time i was direct I threatened to escalate the matter with booking.com and negative public exposure. for their practices. Within the next 24 hours the money was deposited in my account. My recommendation is to steer clear of these hosts Chris and Kenric they are untrustworthy and dishonest.

- Alina (2/5): Do Not Book!! - Beds were comfy, good size, awesome central location, great to have a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. The apartment is very dusty, there's not many plates, no spatula, in general just lacked cooking equipment, but enough to manage. The sink in the bathroom did not drain and the shower was mouldy.
After checkout, the property said through message they would return my deposit, but eventually stopped communication. I tried to call the provided number but one number is overseas and the other goes immediately to message bank. I had to escalate the matter directly with booking.com who, after many phone calls and them trying to reach the property with no success, eventually returned my money. It is not worth the hassle and put a damper on an otherwise very nice holiday. Please, do not book!!
- Michelle (5/5): I like the location but - The location is central, great location if you are focused on exploring around the city. The unit offers a decent size for a group of 4. I'd like to share - the master bedroom is situated next to the kitchen and living with a glass wall.
other people can see you as it is a clear glass (offers no privacy at all); Upon arrival at the building, the host did not provide clear information regarding the check in process. We were informed of the lockbox and key code but was not informed on where to find this lockbox. There was a long delay in contacting the host (the phone number provided does not work) and had to call customer service for them to contact the host. Once contacted, the lockbox is located half a block away inside an EzyMart. The check in process was a hassle to be honest, so just make sure you reach out to the host prior to check-in for a smoother process.
The sink in the bathroom does not really drain properly and the shower in the bathroom is also clogged. (this was not properly cleaned or fixed). I'd recommend getting this fixed. The second bedroom bedsheet has stains on the sheet. Even though the sheet may be washed, the stain does not make it feel like it is clean.
When requesting early check in and late check out - there is a fee per hour ($20) if you are requesting to check in earlier before 3pm and ($20) per hour if you'd like to check out past 10am. I would suggest downloading an app called "radical storage" to store your luggage if needed.

- Danielle (2/5): I would never book with them again, there would have to be much nicer places that are just as central, that will return - The location was fantastic! It was dirty, there was used laundry in the wardrobe, taking up floor space. The floor needed vacuuming, and the kitchen bench had spills on it. One toilet roll for 2 people for a 4 day stay. There was no dish towel, no spatula, and tiny amounts of hand wash, dish washing liquid and washing powder left in the bottles. Even the tissues appear to have been counted out. It smelled like stale smoke on arrival, which did eventually seem to dissipate after 2 days. The bathroom has no surface for toiletries, there is not even so much as a soap dish in the shower recess! Bed was very comfortable, which honestly is the nicest thing I can say about our stay.
Our $300 bond was not returned, despite numerous requests, and eventually communication stopped. Bond was not even mentioned in the listing, but once they have taken payment they will tell you that you need to pay it, or you won’t get access. Also, they ask for feedback on their own site before you can apply to get your bond back, which is unethical. I had to take matters further to receive our bond back. I have never had this problem at any of my accommodation anywhere.

There was a few small item, there wasnt any tablets for the dish washer or cloths to wipe the benches. There was dish washing detergent but no teatowles to dry the dishes. I bought tablets and used 2 and left the rest.
- Fiona (1/5): The managers are appalling. Do not stay here. - These people are thieves. After booking and paying for our stay, the manager asked us to pay an additional $300 security deposit. This was not disclosed on the ‘Property Policies’ page. Recent reviews indicated they were not refunding security deposits so we refused to pay. We were told we couldn’t stay unless we paid, so we had to find alternative accommodation. Manager has refused to refund our accommodation payment. Disgusted. Don’t stay here! Management are appalling. Advertising doesn’t disclose the additional charge. Read recent reviews.

Totally not recommend this property to stay at. Before we checked in, the host asked for a security deposit via bank transfer otherwise would not release the keys. We have done so and provided with a screenshot of the bank statement. On the day of checking out, we fill out a form indicating where to refund the deposit as required by the host. Until today, nearly one month after our stay, we still did not receive the deposit. During this time, I have messaged and called the host but did not get any responsive replies. I have never been so mad about a hotel stay and writing a worst review is the last thing I would ever do on Booking.

- Nan (2/5): I will not visit this place as the place was not cleaned and my kids were so tired and cannot rest. the management did n - the location is superb, downstairs got tram station. we can go around the city very conveniently. the place was not cleaned till 5:30pm. we communicated with the management team, seems they are having trouble allocating enough cleaning staff.
- Danielle (7/5): Good - Good location. Nice apartment. Comfortable beds. Not very sound proof front window, may need the seals replaced and no milk in the fridge for coffee. The desk in the front room takes up a lot of floor space and is difficult to get around.

Followed directions to get key from a lockbox that was located at a separate venue. Lockbox was empty. Then had to rely on someone exiting the apartment to get into the foyer of the building to get key from a letterbox. Wasted an hour just trying to enter the room.

- Sharon (3/5): Dirty, overpriced and I would not stay there again. - The location was good, a train stop just outside the door. But be aware that you also hear them all the time which could be an issue when sleeping as they ring a bell. It was not clean. We arrived to find that the sheets/towels from the last person where in the laundry.
The sink in the kitchens dirty, as was the stove top. The floor had not been vacuumed as I found money (50 cents) on the floor, you could also see fluff etc on the carpet. The vacuum cleaner had not been emptied. The washing machine was mouldy, lint was also in the cloths dryer.
When I contacted the letting agent they were extremely slow to respond and far from helpful. We arrived on Thursday and left Monday and the washing was still not collected and no concern was addressed.
I also had to keep asking for the security deposit to be refunded. it was finally done 4 days after checking out.

Unit wasn't very clean & bedding was strange.
Communication with the owner wasn't great.
Unit needs some maintenance. Lounge is old & uncomfortable, mat is curled up & a trip hazard dining table needs replacing, bathroom needs a good clean & mould removed.
Unit sleeps 4 but only 2 coffee cups. Just general attention to detail lacking & not much thought onto what guests would need / appreciate.
