Gert (9/5): das war das zweite mal - super location in medellin - alles topp - ich war schon das zweite mal hier (das erste mal vor 3 jahren) - lustigerweise genau in gleichen apartment. es ist alles gepflegt, alles sauber, check-in und bezahlung im voraus läuft nicht ganz rund, aber mit einer freundlichen erinnerung kommen dann auch die zugangsdaten. vom personal habe ich niemanden gesehen, die machen ihren job aber gut. die lage finde ich topp - etwas abseits vom ganz grossen trubel, aber doch nah dran. direkt am haus ein kleines cafe (macanas) zum frühstücken, etwas weiter weg „azai praia lovers“ - auch lecker! mein foto zeigt das haus von aussen, ich hatte das apartment direkt über der treppe - mit blick zu strasse. das ist wahrscheinlich schöner als nach hinten raus. ach so - riesige dusche mit fenster zur strasse mit heissem wasser. auch schön. alles in ordnung.

Before arriving we were asked if we would want amenities that we had imagined (read?) would just be in the room, like some dishes, cutlery, and a way to make coffee. Despite saying, "yes please" we had to proactively ask two more times and wait another day before receiving bowls, spoons, and a kettle--but still no way to make the coffee in the room.

James (2/5): No front desk or reception stay away - Nothing Upon trying to check into the property, the door is locked by a code something that was not told to us when checking in. When we called the WhatsApp number explaining the situation and that we needed to pay upon checking in, it was ignored. When we finally got the code, it did not work. Exhausted from the long trip and the lack of responsiveness from the hotel we decided to book somewhere else I would not recommend this place.

Received a confirmation number. However, thru Booking no payment was made. Arriving at the property, no payment details were on my credit card. They would not call booking to confirm. My confirmation number meant nothing. They wanted us to walk to a related hotel so they could confirm payment. We could not find the property. We did not check it. What a waste of time and effort. DO NOT USE SELF CHECK IN. TERRIBLE BUSINESS CONCEPT.

Location: many night clubs around. Very loud into the early hours of the morning, made sleeping difficult. Noisy guests in other apartments. Kitchen: no microwave or freezer. Only a small portable burner to cook on. No bowls provided. Difficult dealing with staff: multiple issues during stay, (no kitchenware in unit when entered or second set of sheets for the couch bed. Had to remind the staff multiple times that we wanted cleaning but they would perpetually forget.

I had to wait for 2h for its gatekeeper to open me the door on my arriving. Super unprofessional service. They didn’t resolve anything on their WhatsApp line and often you get ghosted. Nelly (4/5): Disappointing Experience – Misleading Photos, Poor Security, and No Elevator - Location Our experience at The Somos Flats Provenza was far from what we expected. The photos online do not reflect the reality of the property. This is not a proper hotel—there is no front desk, just a small, informal table without a computer. When we arrived, there was no staff available to check us in because they were on a lunch break. Once someone finally let us in, we realized the check-in process is not handled directly by them. Instead, they take a photo of your passport and send it to The Somos Beats Hotel, which raises serious security concerns. There is no clear information on where the photo ends up or what security measures are in place to protect guest information. Another major issue was the digital room lock, which does not work without WiFi. This left us struggling to access our room when the internet was down. Additionally, cleaning services must be requested 24 hours in advance, which is inconvenient for guests. To make things worse, the property does not have an elevator, which is important information that is not clearly mentioned in the listing. Carrying luggage up the stairs was an additional inconvenience. Overall, I would not recommend this place due to its misleading advertising, poor security protocols, lack of basic hotel services, and the absence of an elevator.

Roelie (2/5): Lots of problems, not worth the money - The beds were good, the location also. We had problems with the lock of the door (it is an electronic lock), which took 3 days to fix.The first day the lock never worked so they changed us to another room on the second floor. From here the password didn't work either so we needed to ask for a code every time we needed to get into the room which was annoying. Communication on WhatsApp was not the best because it took a while for them to answer and they were not proactive about giving us a permanent password until we asked for it. They didn't inform us about us having to ask for cleaning a day in advance, even though Booking.com says otherwise. The wifi and the signal of the tv (because it needs wifi) didn't work properly, and they didn't have a solution. We couldn't open the window because they didn't have the key (we asked for the key since the first day) so the room started to smell musty and the towels as well. So if you want to book and they still have the electronic locks better don't stay here because we knew some other doors had the same problem.

Upon my arrival the room they gave me had and issue with the lock and code, they we´re very slow to figure out a solution practically had to take the decision myself. Juan (9/5): Lovely apartment with an excellent location in El Poblado. - Excellent location, right next to Provenza which is like the trendy part of Medellin full of bars and restaurants and a lively night scene. The flat was very well equipped, the staff was supportive on everything we needed. It does get a bit noisy in the evenings. You can hear the music from nearby restaurants. Not too loud we were still able to rest, but If noise and a busy night life is an issue for you, this is probably not the right part of town for your stay.

There was a party taking place in one of the rooms during the weekend

Damien (9/5): superb. - very central, great location. apartment well laid out, and like secret passage to enter, I came here because i experienced airbnb hell, hosts understand hosting, i will stay here if i ever come back to medellin. not much to dislike, well you willl get noise, but your in the party zone, so your not really here for peace and quiet if you come here. watch out for stairs, as sometimes, the light will not come on, i ended up twisting my ankle, but my fault more than property, just be wary of the stairs when exiting if light does not come on. im ok now, just a sprain.

There's no reception here so the only chance to sort this out was with booking directly They never provided the apartment access keys and codes and never replied to my concerns at the time of check-in in. There was no instructions of what to do and it wasn't in the best situation especially as it was really rainy and cold night

Christian (9/5): I'll be back !! - Stayed 5 days and Loved the place. It's in Provenza so there's so much to take in and experience. Rooms are quiet but remember It's in a busy area so you'll hear a bit of faint music from surrounding restaurants/bars. Again faintly but I mostly crash landed onto the very comfortable bed around 4am-7am nightly, well morning. Had only a very petty issue and it was the safe, couldn't use needed to be reset. There was a solution, could have waited for maintenance person BUT since I didn't request extra cleaning during my stay, no one entered my room. Also, was always out and about exploring Medellin. Really Non issue there was a solution given. Place is awesome, felt like a resident Honestly, didn't like that I had to leave Medellin and come back home to Miami, LoL !

We were able to enter the main door and the apartment door very well with code . The location is easy for walking to the many restaurants ,shops, and get food to go The location in the Provenza was very easy to get a taxi to go to centro or elsewhere in Medellin The noise of the parties in the street or restaurants at night you will definitely need to bring earplugs if you go early to bed .

Ivan (10/5): Very well located, spacious and modern. - Room was very comfortable and clean. The design is pretty and well organized. Staff answered fast to all queries and petition. Rooms are located in Provenza, a zone full of cubs and music late at night, so you can expect noise. However, we experienced that the room had a nice isolation with minimum noise. We had no problem to sleep. Please be aware that cleaning is not included within the reservation (only the check in cleaning is included). If you want they clean the room, each clean service has an extra cost (this is not mandatory). They should offer alt least one extra cleaning service with no extra charge.
