Guest Reviews
- Brittnee (9/5): It was a good accommodation for our big group. - It was in a great location Ceiling fans were not cleaned.
- Passa (8/5): Good - Good location and car park close by Would be nice if there was two sets of card and keys
- Gareth (7/5): -
- Bugg (1/5): -
- Rowen (9/5): - Fantastic location & easy accessibility.
Comfortable beds and good water pressure in the shower. Behind the beds needs vacuuming, very dusty.
- Lauren (8/5): Good location, nice simple apartment - Good location. Simple 2 bedroom apartment. Couch was pretty low. But other than that cant really pick anything bad. I just sat on the dining chairs instead
- Jason (6/5): -
- Juanita (10/5): Excellent Location; Great Value & Lovely Host - Fantastic location, just a short walk to the CBD as well as many excellent restaurants and cafes. The beds were so comfortable, with linen, towels and even shower toiletries provided! The kitchen has everything needed to make your own meals if that is your preference and there is an IGA supermarket right next door. This is great value, especially for a multi night stay for a group or family.
I also have to mention the host, Jason, who was a pleasure to work with, went out of his way to accommodate special requests and responded very quickly to communications.
I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

- Josie (3/5): Not recommended - Close to Trams We were a party of 5. There was a 2 seater pull out couch that had no padding at all. You sat on the bars because it collapsed under any weight. Apart from that there was 4 dining chairs, no padding again and an old ripped office chair. No where to sit and relax after a big day. Beds were not comfortable. The day we left we found bedbugs on a pillow in the 2nd room. No tea or coffee supplied. Stovetop was very dirty and chipped. Showermat was frayed. Nowhere to put rubbish, tiny bin.Wish we'd paid the extra money now for a better place.
- Yenny (3/5): - Location The door has an extra lock without key and it got jammed and get locked out for more than 2 hours until the lock smith openend the door
- Lee (8/5): Brilliant location - Firstly, I must say that this position is absolutely fantastic! Located just a short walk to the free tram stop, it makes commuting around the city incredibly easy. If you prefer rideshare services, securing an Uber is equally straightforward, adding to the overall convenience of the location.
The apartment complex itself offers a small IGA right below, making it easy to stock up on essentials without needing to venture far. It certainly contributed to a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
Upon entering the apartment, I was pleased to find nice beds that ensured a restful night’s sleep. hot water system is impressive, providing super hot water with great pressure— a luxury that one truly appreciates during colder months. Additionally, the apartment is equipped with numerous heaters, ensuring a warm and cozy atmosphere, even on frosty days. The comfy lounge area provided the perfect setting for relaxation after a long day of exploring the city.
I also want to commend the owner for their exceptional communication skills. They were very good at addressing any queries I had and were incredibly accommodating throughout my stay. Their attentiveness truly enhanced my experience and made me feel welcomed.
Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay Overall, I appreciate the opportunity to stay here, but I believe there are a few areas for improvement that could enhance future guests’ experiences.
Firstly, I noticed that the apartment could benefit from a more thorough cleaning. While generally tidy, a deeper clean would elevate the overall impression. In particular, the kitchen could use a better selection of utensils and supplies. Additionally, items such as air fresheners and fly spray were all empty, which detracted from the comfort of the space.
Moreover, I wanted to address the condition of the carpet. While it is still livable for a short-term stay, it appears rather worn and could use replacing to ensure a more inviting atmosphere.
- Blaze (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jakob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (9/5): Superb - Location The trash bins didn't have litter bags
- Shawn (1/5): Very average, I wouldn’t stay again. - The room was dirty, there were smear marks all over the walls
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - We were comfortable. The price is brilliant. . The location is excellent, with handy paid parking nearby.
We were visiting the Exhibition buildings, so an easy, easy walk. The view from the 13th floor room was fun. Access to the building was very smooth and the elevator was quick, too. A little bit aged, but quite comfortable furniture/bedding and plenty of hot water in the shower.
- Charisse (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (4/5): Great location, tired and dirty accommodation - Good location The apartment was tired and grubby, definitely sub par. Needs a deep clean. Mouldy bathroom with previous guests hair and toiletries. Layers of dust, torn carpet, grubby walls, poor bed linen and pillows just to name a few shortcomings. A tricky check in system…having to wait for another occupant to enter the building to gain access.
It’s a shame as the location is great and the owner seemed like a nice guy when I called him.
- Hang (6/5): Great for a smaller group of 4 as there is only one toilet. There were 7 of us. - Location is perfect.
Security is great.
Owner is very prompt to answer my messages.
Very helpful to allow us to put our luggages in the morning before we check in. A little run down.
Hole in mattress n carpet.
Saw 3 Cockroaches during our stay of 4 days. Already informed owner n owner said he will do a deep cleaning soon.
- Joanne (6/5): Good location - Nice and close to IGA and the train station Pillows were next level bad, no extra blankets for how cold it was. Main heater didn’t work so we had to use oil heaters around the place.
- Tsai (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (3/5): Disappointing but great location - The location, communication from host and water pressure The apartment was in poor condition. The curtains were a struggle to open and shut and stuck to the condensation covered windows. The kitchen was severely lacking basic facilities such as a chopping board or glasses or even enough plates (we had to buy plastic ones to get by) only one frying pan and one tiny pot so cooking meals was severely limited. The kitchen tap and main kitchen cupboard door needed repairing. The wardrobes were jammed full of unnecessary items and we also found a pair of dirty knickers from a previous guest! The sofa bed was terrible to sleep on too. Overall the apartment was very worn (carpet taped down where it joined with the kitchen) and in need of someone to take pride in it.
- Lindy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ally (8/5): It served its purpose, thank you for having us. - Walking up to the balloons each morning, the IGA located beneath. We didn’t like that we couldn’t cancel, i was clean and tidy but not what we would consider good value for money.
It would have been better if we had known that it was going to be a Airbnb type situation.
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosemary (3/5): Owner was good to deal with but appartmenr not up to scratch. - Excellent location. Quiet area close to everything. Poor state of repair. Noisy makeshift air conditioner. Bugs, shower flooding! You get what you pay for, inexpensive.
- Kerryn (7/5): Great convenient location - thank you :) - Location. Good communication Some minor touch ups would have made it better ie mould removal.
- Si (10/5): Exceptional - The location is good and the host is responsive to our questions. In addition, it got 4 beds and a sofa that could sleep one person.
- Lip (8/5): Good value - Location Keys and lock
- Paul (8/5): Great location & value for money. The apartment worked well for us on a week-long stay to Melbourne. -
- Senior (2/5): Poor - Location Airconditioning was loud and faulty. Place was untidy. Beds were sunken in the centre. University accommodation.
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Very convenient, minutes to tram stations, also China town and many restaurants within walking distance.
great value for money
- Chenxi (8/5): Very good -
- Kent (9/5): Superb -
- Hannah (7/5): Good - Location was a good centre point for everything The key pickup was a little tricky and the carpark pass didn't work at all
- Sridev (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location right in the middle of the city. Easy access to trams in free tram zone to go to Flinders Street or southern Cross station. Precise instructions for check in.
- Shashika (7/5): Convenient and great location - It's was a good stay. We stayed 3 nights 6 people. Location heart of the CBD. Everything things close by. We enjoyed the stay. Value for money. There were a few things to fix. One of the bed slats was broken, the kitchen sink was loose, and the stove exhaust was not working.
- Fei (5/5): if you have no expectation of facilities where you are staying, it’s ok to choose, the best advantage is the location! - The location is superb! the facility is SIMPLE, the third day of staying, cockroaches started showing up. The last two days, which are the most hot days, has no hot water supply. The voice cancelation is not good, I can hear my neighbours were laughing out loud.
- Mya (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ninoska (10/5): Exceptional - Location is the best!
The owner was really flexible with our check in and check out.
- Raymond (7/5): Good -
- Ngat (10/5): Great host, excellent location, comfortable - Clean, comfortable, and well equipped appartment, with TV, Wifi, AC, heater, fridge, stove, microwave, cooking and cleaning utensils. Excellent location near tram stations (in the Free Tram Zone) and within walking distance to the attractions and shopping streets in the city center. There's a convenient store downstairs and washing machines + driers in the basement (only accept cards).
The owner was exceptionally helpful and provided us with detailed instructions and tips, and always responded promptly to our questions and requests. He could also arrange a parking slot for our rental car just 50 meters away from the building at a very affordable price (especially when compared to the usual parking costs in the CBD). The stove was a bit slow (the larger plates were apparently not working). While the location was great, being in the CBD also means everything nearby is much more expensive (including fast food, coffee shops, or the mentioned convenient store downstairs).
- Toomey (9/5): Good location - Good location close to trams and train
Was clean and tidy, reasonably priced We only had 4 adults stay and that was enough, not really set up for any more than that, be a great room for a family set up, little portable air con didn't do much to cool room but we survived
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Nirmal (9/5): Superb - Location, cheaper compared to neighbourhood properties, easily accessible, host was responsive and helpful
- Elizabeth (10/5): It was well positioned, and had a nice view - Very convenient with trams and we walked to Chinatown which was very close. Nothing
- Aiden (9/5): Superb -
- Penny (8/5): Very good - Location Cockroaches
- Xayher (9/5): Superb - Facilities and paid for netflix Lights were a bit broken and stove didn't work but it was fine
- Kevin (10/5): Premium CBD location, Value for Money, Clean & Comfortable Beddings - Rated this a 10 because it's best value for money accommodation given its premium location, clean and comfortable beddings. It's located on the eastern side of the CBD, so walking distance to many food places. Plus free tram (#96) near door step to get to any part of the CBD and Southbank. The apartment has 2 bedrooms easily slept our family of 5, a small kitchen, dining table, 2 seater sofa & TV and air con. More room than a standard hotel room for the same price. The apartment is a bit dated, furniture and fittings are worn. It didn't bother us because we're not fussy as long as everything is functional. If you're here for holiday and after a clean place to shower, sleep and rest, and best value for money for its premium location. This shouldn't be an issue.
- Samuel (10/5): Great place to stay with wonderful staff - It was close to everything Nothing it was great
- Marlyn (9/5): Superb - The location is perfect for tourists
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (7/5): Good -
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Allison (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, very secure, plenty of tea, coffee etc. Quiet tenants around you. Easy access to trams trains and great food Need more toilet paper and needed to provide own milk which we were not aware of. But IGA next door
- Masaud (8/5): no parkinf facility though but overall awesome stay - location stoves is not working. 2 plates are working out of 4 but they are very very slow. need to change
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Great location for theatres, comfortable furniture. Close to trams, Chinatown. Cockroaches. Unhelpful staff on counter downstairs.
- Wenting (8/5): Very good - location is good
- Voeun (7/5): Good -
- Fi (6/5): Very disappointed, we received a refund of one night which was appreciated. - The location was fantastic. The WiFi was great. Security was great. Items to use is the kitchen were great as well. Cockroaches in bathroom which I know can happen but the bathroom was apparently just cleaned. I was unhappy with alot of things, couch was terrible could not sit on it as we thought it would break, very unsafe. TV did not work. Beds were uncomfortable. Apartment was finally cleaned but still rubbish under bed and under desks. Air conditioner not working so you have a small one to use in the lounge room.
- Kenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (8/5): superb location for access to theatres which was the main reason for our trip. host was easy to contact and instruction - great location to tram, theatre, shopping and food outlets.
good to see IGA supermarket directly outside. apartment looks tired, needs a paint job and updated furnishings
- Amelia (10/5): Exceptional - Close to everything Was great
- Nelson (5/5): Passable -
- Hotshotp2 (8/5): Pleasant enough - Convenient location Room was comfortable enough but quite tired. Needs renovated. Appears to be situated in a building of student accommodation
- Steve (10/5): Very comfortable at a reasonable price - ++++Very comfortable, great view ,excellent location right next to china town , close to great restaurants , free tram close by…great value for money…would stay again…owner very helpful and easy to deal with++++ No Parking available …cost me more in parking than the car hire cost😤not the owners fault though…and no Tea or Coffee available… no big deal but would of been nice
- Nicole (8/5): Very good - Great location Two key cards would have been good
- Yoke (9/5): Great location and value for money - The location is excellent and is extremely convenient to explore the city centre. Apartment is clean and has good view of the city. Heaters are also provided in the rooms.
Host is super efficient and provided clear check-in details. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. none
- Mia (4/5): Will never recommend - Not easy to understand or find
- Terence (8/5): Very good - Location was great, in the heart of Melbourne CBD and a stone's throw away from Parliament Station and a tram stop. Rooms were well-furnished and well-cleaned, with heaters for every room.
