• Thomas (10/5): This apartment gave us a good base for our stay in Vancouver. - The location felt safe. Parking was on-street, which was maybe sub-optimal, but wasn't a problem. It's not particularly close for walking to restaurants or stores, but nonetheless doable. The kitchen had what we needed. The beds were good. Rain! not the host's fault!
• Tatiana (8/5): - Very nice basement. It has everything you need. There’s a kitchen with all the essentials for cooking, and a big TV in the living room. The place is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. Unfortunately, there are also some downsides. The beds were very uncomfortable. We were three adults and a child, and none of us could sleep well. Another issue was the noise from upstairs. The neighbours woke us up at 7am, probably getting ready for work. That was our only day to sleep longer, but it wasn’t possible. One more small thing, not really a minus but more a suggestion. We used a lot of dishes, and after washing them there was nowhere to put them to dry. It would be helpful to have a dish rack or at least a few towels for drying. Overall, we really liked the place, but the beds need improvement.

Instructions arrived via messenger in booking.com app and couldn’t be viewed in email.. App needs to be up to date and logged in (have passwords ready!) in order to view messages. If arriving from overseas, you’ll need an e-sim to access.

• Shannon (10/5): Loved this bright clean apartment - I was so pleased with this 'basement' apartment! It did not feel dark or cramped, It felt bright and open! The place was clean and comfortable. Good location. I loved how dark the bedroom got at night. I almost over slept a few times! The private patio is a lovely touch. There isn't much to dislike about the place. I will mention the stairs. If you have heavy large bags like we did, there are some steep stairs going up to the house from the street and then down again to the apartment. All manageable and just part of the experience.

• Frauke (9/5): Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt - Das Haus liegt in einer guten, ruhigen Gegend etwas außerhalb von Downtown mit kostenfreien Parkplätzen direkt vor der Tür. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und es gab viele kleine liebevolle Details, die uns haben wohlfühlen lassen. Selbst für Hausschuhe in unterschiedlichen Größen war gesorgt 😊 Die beiden Einzelbetten haben bei jeder Bewegung gequietscht, was etwas störend sein kann.

Comfortable beds, fresh towels, toiletries etc The neighbourhood is very pretty and quiet. You will need a car or to use taxi's if you are going into Vancouver city. We used Uber a lot, they were reasonably priced

• Lesley (8/5): Pretty Place - A pretty well laid out flat with two bedrooms. The kitchen has everything that one would need for cooking, with a seperate washing machine and dryer. The owner had provided little snacks for us which was nice. I liked that condiments had been left together with things like tomato sauce, vinegar etc, that is especially handy for people.

• Tiana (10/5): Exceptional - Very modern, very comfortable, very clean, access to Netflix and other programs on TV, kitchen filled with the basics, including sauces, oil, salt and pepper, etc, for cooking. Extremely easy to access on arrival and hosts responded via message immediately if you had any questions. Sometimes you could hear people walking upstairs, but that did not bother us, as it was during the day, never at night when we were sleeping. One of the single beds was very noisey every time you move, but that was minor as the next night I just changed beds and it was much better.
• Ricky (8/5): Great place to stay for family near Vancouver. - The property was cleaned and well maintained. It included many amenities including washer and dryer, cooking equipment, and Apple TV. It can get a bit noisy from the noise coming from upstairs in the morning.
• Dinavia (9/5): Cute stay! - The setup was very nice. The beds were comfy, plenty of parking. Enough dishes and seating for 4. There was a washer and dryer if you need to use it. Not too far from downtown. The only downfall was the noise upstairs. It sounded like kids or dogs stomping/running most hours. If you can’t go up and down a lot of stairs I wouldn’t recommend this place but overall we had a great stay!

• Vicki (9/5): Superb - Great location for us to explore the surrounding area. Gave us everything we needed to recover from a long international flight. Really lovely space in the apartment in a quiet suburban area, I'd say a car is a must for the location though. There was only a 3 seater sofa with 4 of us staying. Kitchen was very limited, for example one knife, plate and cup each but didn't cause us any problems as we used and washed.

The suite was decorated lovely and felt like a mini vacation home. The mattresses were fairly uncomfortable. Either very hard, or could feel the springs. Adding a 2-3 inch mattress topper would be lovely!

We loved the complimentary snacks and even though the family lived upstairs it was quiet downstairs. Also, when we arrived we were able to check in early and the lockbox wouldn't open for us but the owner right away gave us a spare key. The communication from the hosts was awesome and we will be back!! It was nice to feel like we were home without being home. There was nothing we didn't like.

• Xin (9/5): Overall, a very nice stay (clean, comfortable) and definitely worth the price. - The room itself was very nice and clean. There were many condiments in the kitchen that helped with cooking. Very open, with good lighting. There is also an audio-controlled light outside the basement door, which was beneficial since we often came back late at night. The hosts were also very friendly and helped us when needed. It was also close to many restaurants. It was sometimes a bit noisy, since there were people upstairs. Walking to the basement door (through the side of the house), there were a few steps, but we couldn't see them since there were no lights, so a bit of a small tripping hazard.

The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were nice. The kitchen was nice, and had plenty of space to cook breakfast, lunch, etc. The location was good. The apartment was reasonably priced. At times, there were very loud upstairs noises and to enter the apartment, on the outside, there were quite a three stairs. We had a couple of stubbed toes while walking in dark. These were minor issues though.
• Amanda (7/5): Good - Very clean! Cute furniture. Parking good. Great price for distance to city. There are "quiet" hours. But each night the people above were very very loud. Yelling and stomping. Sounded like furniture moving at 2 am. If you are a light sleeper, it's impossible to sleep. The bedroom seemed to be near the noisiest part.

• M. (3/5): NOT insulated for sound. - The unit was clean, minimalist and inviting. The keys were in a lockbox hanging from the rail down some stairs to the basement apartment. If one is a light sleeper, one might want to reconsider this unit. I was awakend 4 times the first night, and 2 times the second night (and that was with earplugs). Third and 4th nights I went to sleep after 10pm when the upstairs household quiets down. Until after 10pm, there is loud, repeated and consistent clomping coming through the ceiling. If one is a cook, one might reconsider this unit. Kitchen is not well appointed. There was one large non-stick metal pan that had been badly burned with the non-stick layer badly scratched on one half. There is no microwave. Unit was heavily scented with a plug-in air freshener which was unpluged as soon as it was located. The scent lessened, but remained. There were stairs up to the main house, and down to the unit whose entry is down a long alley at the back of the house. Entry is through a sliding patio door. The electric curtain does not retract totally, so one must duck under the curtain to enter the unit.

The tile floor was a nice touch.had pretty much everything we needed to stay for three nights. with that being said, it’s a beautiful little place. would’ve been nice if there were three rolls of toilet paper. Because we were there for three days. The only complaint I have is the mattresses are terrible. I didn’t sleep very well. it is a must to replace those mattresses.

• Anke (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment in Vancouver. It is situated in a quiet lovely neighborhood. The apartment is not too far away from the airport and has everything we need to feel right at home. We appreciated the welcome pack with some snacks and water. The bus to go to Vancouver city center is only around 10 minute walk away as well as a few little restaurants. Peter and Iris gave clear instructions on how to use the amenities which was helpful. Overall, we highly recommend this place to everyone.

• Tiberiu (9/5): Great place - Great apartment, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed for our short stay in Vancouver. Good location, quiet and easy to access, close to the airport. The hosts are very nice and reply almost immediately to any questions or inquiries. It is better if you check in during the day. The instructions from the hosts are great, but going through a dark alley in the evening, with no lights, trying not to stumble on the occasional stairs along the way, while worrying that I’m hopefully not in the wrong yard, was not the best experience.

That was really nice, especially after a long flight. The hosts were also really friendly and tried to help when something was needed! We had a great stay in Vancouver:) The apartment is in the basement. The walls are really thin so you could hear everything from upstairs. People who are sensitive to noise shouldn't consider this place. It was okay for us because we left early in the mornings and returned in the evenings so we nearly heard nothing from upstairs.
