Guest Reviews
- Veronika (10/5): Heimelig und freundlich -
- Anne (7/5): -
- Andrew and Shannon (3/5): Perfect location…but in poor shape. - Perfect location!
-Close to the Castle, Philosophers walk, the old town and bridge, and the tourist information office. -Easy walk to the train station and conveniently near bus stop.
-Spacious and close to everything yet quiet. -Washing machine and drying rack.
-Nice river view and close to the river promenade. The apartment is in need of an attention and a deep cleaning.
-No lighting in the kitchen. The ceiling light worked when we arrived, but went off a short time later, we had no other devices on, so not an overload on the system. We flipped the breakers but the light never worked during our stay. The lights under the cabinets never worked.
-Walls and baseboards need a fresh coat of paint, they are dirty and scuffed up.
-Cobwebs above bed, windows need cleaning
-Lamps loosely hanging from wall need to be secured.
-Very little space for 2 people to get around the bed.
-Lack of communication from host once you receive check-in details.
- Vromans (8/5): - Prachtig uitzicht
Grote ruimtes
- Javiera (7/5): Nice for few days - The location is amazing and the dinning room has a great view to the river. The shower was not very clean. The master bedroom has no real views, just a direct view into the neighbors’ bedrooms. That’s why we never opened the curtains, and it felt very dark, almost like a cave. On the last night, the upstairs neighbors arrived, and it was very unpleasant due to the noise. Overall, it’s not very suitable for a family with small children like ours.
- Pat (6/5): - The location is great. Right in the Old Town area. Couldn't have asked for a better location. If not for the location, I would have rated this lower. The apartment is much smaller than it appears in the photos online. It also was a little run down and could use a good deep cleaning. The tub is pretty high so getting in and out of it is an adventure. The toilet is also abnormally high for some reason. The shower is pretty low pressure as well. The bed is very low and barely fits in the room so getting in and out of it takes some effort. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and you need to go up pretty tight spiral staircases. In addition, the host was not responsive. I messaged them a few hours before we were going to check in and three days later I still have not heard back.
- Ilya (10/5): - Clean and cozy apartment with a fantastic location in the heart of Heidelberg. Beautiful view on the river and the castle. Everything was just perfect.
- Robyn (10/5): Fabulous stay. Spacious and comfortable, excellent position. -

- Marleen (9/5): Het was ons heel goed meegevallen! Fijn geweest. - De locatie lag kort bij de stad.
- Gergely (10/5): -

- Sylvia (9/5): - Sehr gute Lage mit Blick auf den Neckar Geräusche im Haus sehr laut

- Fiona (9/5): Clean, comfortable, convenient and welcoming! Very good 😊 - Great location, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The balcony was lovely and even had a view of the castle tower! We were happily surprised by a welcome gift which was so thoughtful and sweet. The hosts were friendly and responded immediately. We loved our stay in beautiful Heidelberg!
- Moulton (9/5): great location, comfortable apartment, we enjoyed our stay! - location was perfect to explore old town. we had everything we needed and a lovely back deck with a view of the castle. it was quite warm while we were there and access to a fan would have been helpful to cool the apartment at night. not the fault of the unit, but there is often noisy groups outside until late at night.
- Sirbu (10/5): Apartment was above expectations, we had a fantastic stay. - Location was great, apartment was very clean.
- John (9/5): Spacious and clean accommodation in a really good location. - Large lounge and separate bedroom, also large. Well equiped kitchen. Our Apartment on the first floor looked recently renovated. All windows double glazed so that much of the outside noise was minimal. The lounge room had three windows facing the river - a really nice view. Smallish bathroom with shower and not much shelf space. The space immediately outside the apartment was used as a tour bus pickup point so every now and then it got very crowded. Be aware that car parking can be a problem.. had to put the car in an underground public ‘Parkplatz’. €19 per day !
- Cherie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and we would definitely return. The apartment was exactly right for us and Heidelberg is a beaut - In fantastic location. Very quiet yet 2 mins walk to restaurants shops and castle. Fully equipped apartment Everything was perfect
- Aneka (9/5): Comfortable apartment in excellent location - Great location near the Christmas markets and Hauptstraße; lovely view on the river; comfortable and spacious apartment; very well-equipped kitchen; easy contactless key handover; apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay - would book again We stayed for a week and weren’t sure what to do with our rubbish and recycling - there were also no instructions in the welcome booklet.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - The location was superb, Easy to reach from the Old Station and once there everything was within walking distance. There is numerous options for meals and drinks close by.
- Timbawamba (9/5): Happy in Heidelberg - A great base to explore Heidelberg for the first time. So close to the old town and owner kindly had welcome drink for us. Owner so helped us find some free street parking a 20 minute walk away after dropping off our bags. Have a washing machine and a drying rack was great too. Highly recommend. Some tea and coffee there would have been good. Other than that, all good.
- Lane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eugen (10/5): Heidelberg is a wonderful city on the Neckar within the beautiful Odenwald forest. - Beautiful, clean, central and quiet. Wonderful terrace with a green backyard and even parts of the castle visible. Manged to park the car free of charge outside the city on a residential street about 1.25km away (as suggested by host).
- Nazlı (8/5): Very good -
- Nordhues (10/5): Spacious apartment in the best location in the Altstadt! - Absolutely perfect location for easy access to all the Heidelberg sights, lovely Neckar view, steps from the Alte Brücke, lots of great food. Place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed.
- Yuan (10/5): Exceptional - We love to stay here , definitely will come back again . The room is big and clean with a backyard dining place . Nothing to complaint
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mervyn (9/5): Wonderful stay in a good apartment in a central location. - Central location Nothing!
- Meryem (5/5): Clean but horrible people - Very clean
Good location
Everything is provided: dishwasher soap, laundry detergent…
Good equipments Pillows are old and have no shape; bed in the bedroom is 2 single beds together so not confortable; and only single person thin blankets
Bad wifi connection
Horrible people: we arrived at 1:30pm, I called to ask if I could put my milk for my baby in the fridge and come back at 3. Lady on the phone was nice and said yes, I asked the cleaning person, he said yes, I went for 30sec to drop the milk in the fridge. And a very aggressive man barked at me that the check in is at 3pm. I tried to explain him but he kept shouting. We came back at 3pm, the room was ready, we rang the belt for 5min he didn’t want to open the door maybe to « teach us a lesson ». He left us outside with a 5 months old baby by 7 degrés with rain. It is inhuman….I don’t recommend.
- Mary (9/5): Wonderful alternative to a hotel stay in Heidelberg - It has an excellent location and it’s very spacious. The view of the river is lovely.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Zeno (9/5): Comfortable, clean appartment close to transportation and the center of Heidelberg - Location was great. A few blocks away from the big crowds in the center which was nice. Easy walk to the Altstadt station to catch a train. Well appointed apartment, comfortable with a nice terrace. Supermarkets were about a 15-20 minute walk which was convenient for us (we like to walk around and don't mind carrying a couple bags of groceries). Plenty of restaurants if that's not your thing. Tour buses stop at the square in front of the apartment and it was fun to watch all the different groups of tourists disembark for their day in town. It didn't bother us, but there are some stairs to climb from the entry up to the apartment. Not too many. Only would be an issue if one had mobility challenges.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - Loved the location.
Loved the facilities … washing machine and washing powder supplied 😊
Good shower with seperate toilet. 😊
The extra lounge with sofa bed and table was good too. The lamp over the table and lamp over the sofa bed very thoughtful.
Bed comfy 😊 and good wardrobe with hangers. 😊
Lots of room as well in the bedroom.
Maybe only downside was bedroom looking into someone else’s bedroom so we didn’t like to pull the shades up at all.
Thankyou
- Lijen (8/5): Very good - Location is perfect, kitchen is fully equipped and cozy bedroom. Dust on the floor, especially in the corner and some moldy trace on the corner of the tub.
- Tine (9/5): Very conveniently located to Altstadt, shopping and restaurants, at the expense of parking. - During our stay, we occupied the 2OG (second floor) apartment with a terrace. The additional bed in the apartment was a pull-out couch. The cleanliness of the apartment was commendable, and accessing it was convenient as the key was kept in a small drilled wall safe near the front door, accessible with a code. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to Altstadt, the two restaurants that flanked the front door, the beautiful terrace, and the availability of a washing machine (bring your own washing soap). A Welcome Information booklet and a small welcome package (with games for our child) on the kitchen table. There are at least two available apartments in this property, and the images of both are mixed together on booking.com, resulting in confusion about which photos correspond to each apartment. Throughout our stay, we did not have any direct interaction with the hosts, and our communication was limited to occasional text messages. The Wi-Fi connection was somewhat unreliable, and certain websites were blocked, including YouTube. There was an instance where the Wi-Fi router required resetting, and it took the owners until the following day to respond. The 'free parking' is regular street parking, which a good 15 minute walk away, uphill.
- Lan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauri (9/5): Superb -
- Erdem (9/5): we enjoyed our stay - the location is perfect in the heart of Heidelberg historical center
- Micke788 (10/5): Recommendable! - Location was perfect and easy to reach by car. Car parking in carage under the square is available and also parking free of charge about ten minutes walk. Railway station is located five minutes walk from property. Recommendable restaurants are just around the corner and nearby. Old town survived world war II without damages and this part of Heidelberg is worth to visit anyone who likes historical atmosphere and environments. Kitchen is well equipped plus wine glasses and washing machine.
- Zepeda (10/5): Quiet and comfortable; conveniently located in the Old Town, giving you the feeling of a Heidelberge - The location was very convenient directly in the old town, 5 minutes from the train stop, and 5 minutes from the Christmas markets. The apartment was very clean and very quiet. I liked the view of the river when sitting at the table eating breakfast. The following in no way negatively impacted our stay: It would have been nice if the washing machine also had a clothes dryer; there weren't instructions on how to use the television and DVR; and the apartment was still being cleaned when we arrived shortly after 3 pm.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- S (7/5): Good -
- Georgia (9/5): Superb - Large apartment ideal for families, the location is awesome, great view of the river, close to castle and old city. Very clean. Value for money. I did not find a negative
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karen (9/5): a very busy stay , it would have been good to have been greeted when we arrived. apart from that I will recommend anyone - the well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and very comfortable bed! small pokey bathroom
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Don (8/5): Very nice place. Excellent location. Lots of stairs. - What breakfast? Enjoyed the facility though hiking up the steep stairs with luggage was a bit of a challenge.
