- ISABELA (5/5): Alert: Host violates Booking rules with hostile behavior. - The apartment matches the photos and is well located. However, I warn all future guests about the host's unacceptable behavior, which turned our stay into a source of great distress and emotional distress, making us feel completely unwelcome and coerced. The hostile treatment culminated in an episode of intimidation and verbal threats at check-out, when we were summarily expelled with shouts of "get out of my house" because we were only five minutes late. This behavior is not only a failure of hospitality; it directly violates the fundamental safety and respect policies that Booking.com establishes for its hosts. International hospitality requires a minimum of flexibility and respect. If a host doesn't have the resources to adapt to the customs of foreign guests, perhaps they shouldn't list their property on a global platform, to prevent others from experiencing the same embarrassment. For your safety and peace of mind, I strongly recommend that you look for another accommodation.
