Pontos que não gostamos tanto: checkout cedo, às 10h. Late até as 13h custava meia diária, poderiam ser um pouco mais flexíveis neste ponto. Não tem lugar para guardar mala, o que seria muito bom para quem tem ônibus ou voo no período da tarde.

- Vidana (10/5): Good value for money - lovely, warm apartment. - I had a really nice stay at Aparts Calafate Suites. Check-in was smooth and the host was kind enough to arrange an early check in for me. They also organised airport drop-off, pickup which was very convenient especially as I arrived on a very cold winter morning. I had no issues with the place or the host and would recommend staying here. The streets are a bit dark - however, it didn't feel unsafe in any way. Also not something that the property can do anything about :)

A localização é boa, de carro é super rápido para chegar na rua principal. As instalações e equipamentos são mais antigas do que nas fotos. A porta lateral emperrada, o fogão e forno fazem barulho ao usar. A Bandeja do forno estava empoeirada.

- Robert (7/5): Good place to stay in Calafate - The location, it ia close to the city center. It is spacious. Clean. The furniture is old, there was no shower gel, but a small soap. The price is high, it does not reflect the quality. Also, you see a price in USD when you book, but surprise: the host wants the amount in cash and pesos, using his exchange rate. If you pay with card, it is a 15% fee extra. Also, the check in is so late and checkout too early (10 am) and they do not keep the luggage. It would helped for 2 hours. They refused. Even though there were no guests imediately after. They are not flexible at all.

Apt wasn't super clean and the sofa bed that we were counting on to use was broken. Not all dispencers in the bathroom were working. Not really a useable balcony. Host (Grace) did get a blow up pad, but my friend sleeping on the floor wasn't what we had bargained for.

- Gary (8/5): Modern and clean apartment of generous size in a quiet location in one of the poorer areas of town. - Our flight arrived at 10:30 am, arriving at the property at 11:00 am and access wasn't until 3:00 pm. This could have been a problem as there is no provision to leave bags early. Fortuitously the cleaner was on-site and she allowed us to leave the bags in the unit until check in time. A gap between arrival and check-in at an unattended establishment is an important consideration when selecting accommodation. Prior communications were unsatisfactory, somewhat muddled, although we were told clearly that we couldn't leave the bags early as there was no-one on-site. The proposed 10% surcharge if paying by credit card seemed unjustifiable as credit cards were accepted elsewhere without a surcharge. We paid in US$ cash to avoid the surcharge

- Kate (5/5): - Large apartment and easy self check-in We don’t recommend staying here. Payment was very inconvenient and handled very unprofessionally. We were asked how we would pay and at what time, to which we replied promptly. Then we were sent a message that payment would be collected at a different time, followed by another email asking again how we would pay (which we had already explained). The payment time was changed again to 21:00 without our consent. All of this back and forth was a waste of my valuable time. Bathtub had someone else’s hair from a previous visit, and yet an envelope was left to leave tips for the cleaning. Soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Curtains in the bedroom didn’t close completely so the room couldn’t be made dark. We regret booking this accommodation and cannot recommend it.

- Franco José (1/5): Tarjeta, fraude, problemas con el pago // Card, fraud, payment problems - El apartamento presentaba todas las facilidades que pudieras necesitar, se encontraba limpio y bien ubicado. The apartment had all the amenities you could need, it was clean and well located. A la hora de pagar nos intentaron obligar a pagar un 15% extra a lo que habíamos acordado por booking si queríamos pagar en tarjeta. Una pena y algo que esta prohibido y no debería pasar. When it came time to pay, they tried to force us to pay an extra 15% on top of what we had agreed to through Booking.com if we wanted to pay by card. It's a shame, and something that's prohibited and shouldn't happen.
- teresa (8/5): Decent clean place to stay in el calafate - Nice kitchen and bathroom, clean apartment. Good location for walking to restaurants and shops. There is a patch of grass behind the unit, with a back door that opens to it but it’s not useable space- there are no chairs and there was a pile of dog poop. The place only provides 2 Nespresso pods for our two nights total and indicated they’d bring more but that didn’t happen.

Had all the amenities we required including a bathtub and a Smart TV, which was a real bonus when we were tired after a long day. Communication with the owner was perfect and as we were arriving late (due to plane delays), we were able to let ourselves in, which contributed to an autonomous stay which suited our needs perfectly! Nothing to dislike here!

No me gusto que el checking fuera tan tarde [3pm]. Tuvimos un vuelo que llego muy temprano y esperar en el pueblo no es una buena opción. A pesar que nos permitieron ingresar antes es importante tenerlo en cuenta. Tambien el check out es demasiado temprano a las 10 am. Falto que recargaran el jabon y shapoo.

A anfitriã não teve empatia ao nos permitir que ficássemos mais umas horinhas, sendo que nosso voo era às 20horas, tivemos que sair as 10h, ir pro aeroporto pois não tínhamos onde deixar as malas. Queríamos usufruir mais da cidade e não podemos. Isso nos deixou chateados, pois queríamos almoçar e ir. - Diego (9/5): Peaceful stay in El Calafate - Nice apartment within walking distance of the main street but a distance away from the noise of it. Within walking distance of Laguna Nunez, which was great for a morning walk/run. Grace and Lucas were very responsive and very accommodating, and I’m happy with my experience here. It’s a quiet, dark walk back to the apartment from the main street after sunset. I didn’t mind it and felt safe during my time here, but something to note if that bothers you.

- Brian (7/5): Good short stay in Califate - Easy to walk to main boulevard and the waterfront park. Kitchen basics in place. Staff prompt and complete in responding. Easy access to apt plenty of room for 1 or 2 people. Ambient noise is an issue except when it’s very late. The walls are thin so normal activities in the two adjacent apartments is audible— even snoring. I needed white noise every night — really unusual for me. And outside the nearby dogs bark until past sunset.

- Boriana (8/5): Nice, but need improvement on the facility and service. Overall, not really bad experience. - Overall nice apartament. Clean. Close to the main street, but not too busy. You can cook a small meal in the kitchen, but no amenities to wash your wishes-no soap or spunge… We stayed in apartment 3. The window on the street wasn’t closing fully, it was broken. So, you can hear everything and cold air was coming in. Luckily, weather was nice , but I dont want to be there during winter. The terrace door wasn’t ok as well. There was envelope for the tip-but nobody came to clean, so I’m not sure what was this envelope was for…

- James (9/5): A perfect stopover for one night or more in El Calafate - Very comfortable and spacious. It had all the amenities we needed except for a clothes washer. We had to climb stairs carrying our bags to get in. Would have preferred a ground floor apt. I disputed the 8% surcharge when paying the bill by debit card.

It would have been helpful if general information about the facility had been provided during check-in or after check-in when the host was available. Check-out was delayed despite giving a heads-up, and it was difficult to get immediate help when needed. Understandable, given that it is run by an individual rather than a company. Nevertheless, I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the place.

- Katrine (6/5): Great and enjoyable - I liked the cleanliness, the kitchen equipment. The apartment has a new feel and Mickey decorated There is only floor heat in the bathroom. But the Living room is extremely cold as the Air g’ets through the door and window Edges. I Think optimizing the door and Windows as Well as having more heat options in the Living room will make this apartment better than hotels. Its so lovely

- Ellen (9/5): Lovely apartment - The apartment was spacious and modern with everything I needed. It was a short walk to town and the check in staff were really friendly and helpful. When I arrived I was asked to pay an additional 15% on top of the secured price for apparent “bank charges” when using card, there was no additional costs for cash. Booking.com confirmed this wasn’t part of the agreement. When paying with card in pesos I was able to make a saving due to the good rate in £. Those paying USD via card will lose out :(
- Carolyn (6/5): Pleasant - The proximity of Calafate Suites to town was very convenient for walking to restaurants, stores, etc. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Check-in and payment was difficult with no reception or way to contact the host without internet or cell service. Since we inadvertently discovered that the host lives in the same complex, it would have helped had he simply told us in advance. Also, there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom. We could not regulate the heat.
