• Donna (5/5): Hmmm - Location to Nelson bay Diggers is walkable Absolutely terrible, pictures of the property show that it’s flat but when you arrive you realise that the driveway is steep upwards. There is no parking down the driveway because it’s cluttered with pots and bins and you can’t get your car down the side so you’re expected to park out the street so unpacking the car is a nightmare with a bad back dragging a car full of stuff up the driveway and down the side of the building about 16 m to the back, 5 times.NO AIRCON. NO DISHWASHER. NO STOVE/OVEN. The only thing that doesn’t suck is the little stick vacuum. So yes, I took my dog, but I didn’t expect to be treated like one. The adjoining/ upstairs flat sounded like elephants live there and are constantly thumping around and vacuuming, I can hear every little sound even their conversations. Someone tried to open the adjoining door at 2am on the first night! Telephone constantly ringing. When I had my first shower someone upstairs turned on the hot water and I had none! Construction next door on a new house.

• Lizzy (10/5): Matador Unit review - Really nice little place, close to shops. We took our dog also and she loved it :) The owner lives up stairs and was very helpful and friendly :) There wasn't anything we disliked.
• Anastasiia (8/5): Very good - The backyard is covered, pets friendly, and had a really nice view, which made mornings and evenings more enjoyable. There is a comfortable shower room. The stay was okay, but there were a few issues. No parking. The bathroom door was really creaky and the toilet seat squeaked every time it was used — definitely needs some maintenance. Also, the kitchen only had 3 forks, which was inconvenient. The TV was old and quite small, not ideal for relaxing in the evening. Overall, it worked for a short stay.

Netflix/Foxtel cut off in the afternoon and not working throughout the night. No Aircon No kitchen stove or oven to cook. Owner always on your back living upstairs and harassed you everytime hanging in the backyard for a coffee/Lunch. Obsessed with telling to put in outside furniture. It's very uncomfortable that we have the owner of this holiday house always watching us and not leaving us to have a peaceful holiday.

• Martin (4/5): As you can see there definitely more negatives than positives. - + Owner on site was very helpful + Lovely secure backyard for pets + Nice patio area + Clean and Tidy + Light and airy + Close to Nelson Bay shopping Centre + Fridge worked brilliantly + had good FOXTEL when it worked. - Have to carry everything in from the road to the back flat as there is no close on site parking - quite an inconvenience and not safe for our car on the narrow road - Have no hot plates or oven - No Dishwasher - No Laundry, washing machine or dryer - No clothes Line - No air conditioning to any of the rooms when it is very hot in summer like the 5 nights we stayed there. The fans are ok but will not perform like air conditioning - Double bed far too small, it needs to be at least Queen size bed in the room - No inside dining table other than the one outside in other words the flat is very small - Kitchen is very small if you had 4 people staying there - No bathroom soap or hair lotion or hair dryer - never had this before in accommodation we have rented - Had no free to air TV for 3 of the 5 nights, also the TV needs to be replaced as it is definitely making a crackling sound from one of the speakers Finally we must not forget that you are paying $218 a night which is a premium price. The charge for being a dog friendly location is quite over the top for what you get.
