Guest Reviews
- Joanne (8/5): Pleasant beach getaway with furry friends - Accomodation was decently sized, clean, and in a good location - a short drive from the shops and beach. We liked that the hosts allow dogs. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the hosts giving us chocolates and wine.
Hosts live next door to the unit which we didn’t realise but the accomodation felt private and separated enough and we didn’t feel like we were being watched.
Would book again! The kitchen was a little small but fine for a short stay.
- Gary (10/5): - Spacious, welcoming decor, great location just minutes from beautiful beaches and first class dining. Excellent communication from Greg both prior to and during the stay. Amazing for a peaceful night's sleep. N/A
- Wendy (8/5): -
- Nikki (10/5): - Great beach house. Very comfortable for 2 adults, 1 child and a dog. Clean and well decorated, sun filled apartment. Easy parking. Good communication and easy check in.
- Ava (10/5): - Beautiful property! Clean and spacious, was perfect for a weekend trip
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Evanthia (10/5): Fantastic stay - Clean beautiful and location
- Cass (10/5): We enjoyed the stay immensely. - Exceptional! Lovely layout of a studio. Warm fire… Fabulous linen and towels. Great kitchen, with a quick cycle dishwasher. Large bathroom and all amenities one could ask for.
Including board games for us big kids… and a delightful complimentary bottle of vino!
Electric shutters and well thought out glazed windows and doors.
Close to cafes, too.
It was the little touches and thoughtful gifts, that made this stay, exceptional! Nothing to report.

- Alex (10/5): Relaxing, calming and comfortable weekend away - It was so clean, cozy and comfortable. Felt like home away from home, a little slice of safety just for me. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the extra touches of chocolate and a bottle of wine waiting on the bed. Sitting by the fire on the couch and watching movies was the perfect way to spend a winter weekend in solitude. Being able to bring my dachshund was the cherry on top of a lovely weekend. Absolutely nothing
- Damian (8/5): Had a great time, perfect place to enjoy the peninsula from. - Comfortable, well kept apartment. Bedding was great. The shutters and double glazed windows were effective. Nice having an enclosed yard for our dog and that dogs were accepted. Good location, walkable to cafes. Felt light and bright with all the natural light. Couch and pillows in lounge were pretty stained.
The BBQ area could use some love, a clean, and some new utensils.
- Erika (8/5): Great little gem, great location - Greg was easy to contact in the lead up to our stay, he provided clear instructions to access the home and checked in several times to ensure we had everything we needed. A bottle of wine and chocolates were awaiting us on arrival.
A Fresh set of towels were offered whenever needed.
The home was nicely set up, good quality linen, comfortable sofa and chairs. There are windows all around the place with automated roller blinds and bifold opening doors that were great as you could open up the whole side of the house and let in fresh air. We had a really positive stay and overall experience. We would gladly stay again. :) There was one A/c unit which provided coolness for the back of the house but the front was warm, particularly with the sun beating in and little relief. The ceiling fans squealed so couldn’t be used at night to sleep. Small bar fridge provided was ok, but wasn't really sufficient for a family of three during a one week stay, however made it work nonetheless.

- Cindy (8/5): Bright spacious unit on a very busy street. - Spacious bright comfortable unit but it sits on a very busy road. Spacious comfortable unit but it sits on a very busy road. This makes sitting outside unpleasant. Street quiets at night and the roll shutters help with night time noise but not 100%, so light sleepers beware . Bathroom ceiling starting to peel.
- David (8/5): Very comfy and great location - Well set up and clean and tidy bed was very comfy great set up Nothing everything was great and convenient
- Teo (10/5): I would recommend to anyone who are visiting to this place. - We are satisfied with the stay and the just always prepared a bottle of red wine and chocolate as a welcome gift. It’s worth for the money you paid. The only thing is the cooking pan is old..
- Jane (10/5): - We made a last minute choice to book there and we so happy we did. Spacious, clean and well equipped.
Even our dog could be comfy inside.
Everything we needed.
Comfy bed and luxurious bathroom . Nothing
- shermocilla (10/5): Lovely and comfortable stay in a fantastic location - highly recommend! - Fantastic location close to shops and the sites we wanted to visit (Dromana Drive In, Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs, beaches and cafes). The accommodation had great attention to detail with all amenities included. The bedding and couch was comfortable with a warm fireplace and lots of TV channels. We are a couple who doesn't require interaction with the host but nonetheless they were friendly and would go out of their way to help. I can tell they have incorporated past feedback for ways to continue to improve (hardly heard outdoor noise as the shutter blinds which were amazing helped). Would absolutely stay again. Thank you for an fantastic stay!
- Mika (8/5): A great winter getaway - The fire was gorgeous, such a romantic and warm comfort in the cold. The roll down shutters on the outside, I believe, were put on for noise but made the place nice and dark and even more cosy. The couch and bed were both comfortable, warning if you try sitting on the roll out couch it does start to move. They supplied linen and teatowels, a necessity that a lot of places seem to miss. Lots of little additions and attention to detail made this house even better. It was a good cosy house, a short drive to everything we wanted for our getaway. Just a warning if you've got a small, or low to the ground car, the parking spot is a step turn off the road and could scrap the underside of your car if you're not careful. The shower also has gaps on the sides of the glass door and creates a wet puddle on the floor outside of it. Also the shower is just a hand held shower, meaning if the cord was knocked it would move the spray of water.
- Lucy (9/5): Perfect - A beautifully presented and cosy property just perfect for a winter getaway the fireplace was pure joy.
- Lynda (9/5): The accommodation was so comfortable & cosy especially for the wet, cold weekend we were there. - We loved the location, easy parking, very comfortable bed & the gas log heater was perfect for this time of year. Even better than the photos!
- Melissa (10/5): Perfect for couples - Perfect little place for a couple nights. Clean and comfortable! Some road noise during the night/early morning, will probably wake light sleepers. But, worth it for a couple nights if you're after a location close to Sorrento!
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Lovely and private, good kitchen and living spaces. Outdoor area with table and seating. Bed and linen are great.
Very helpful host.. Little road noise but blinds assist and traffic almost nil sleeping hours.
- Driver (9/5): Superb -
- Josin (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, airy and very well presented apartment
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Gordon (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Mat (9/5): Superb -
- Daniela (9/5): Had a wonderful stay - The place was very bright and clean, big windows with a lot of natural light coming in. The bed was very comfortable. It only had a bar fridge which is ok for a short stay.
- Lance (10/5): Beautiful peaceful stay a definite recharge guaranteed - The warmth of the house felt like home away from home everything was easy to find and the area was beautiful lots of room inside for us very warm and inviting Nothing
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and secure accommodation . Good communication and good quality linens. Very clean, spacious and comfortable
- Diane (9/5): A very relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. - The accommodation was beautifully furnished and very private.
The bottle of wine and chocolate were a welcoming and lovely touch
Pod coffee machine
Close to all the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula. It was a hot day when we arrived in the afternoon, it would have been nice if the aircon had been turned on before our arrival. The teabags there were a variety but only one plain black tea. One dishwasher tab was not enough for a 3 day stay
- Nixey (10/5): Fabulous stay, greatly recommend! - Loved the house and location, great facilities for a few days away.
- Kym (7/5): Lovely location swish furnishings perfect for a couple - Place is very new and neat - lovely design and great location Second bed was a sofa bed in a living room without a door between it and the main bedroom, no microwave
- Janiffer (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable and clean. Very peaceful when no traffic noise.
Pet friendly. Location on Melbourne Rd Blairgowrie meant it was difficult to sleep due to traffic noise.
Message in bathroom about not using facewasher in case makeup stained material. If it did an additional cleaning charge would be applied.
Similar with BBQ - an additional $60 charge if not cleaned. However BBQ had cobwebs, rusty utensils, and no Bbq wipes. Happy to clean but prefer it was in a clean state upon arrival.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catriona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (6/5): Overall, it was a nice place to stay with simple enough facilities. It was good for us as we didn’t spend a whole lot of - The bed was very comfortable, it was nice that the owners left us a welcoming gift. The property had a fair amount of cobwebs and dusty areas. They also had a lot of ants in the front room which got into our shoes. There was a fair amount of road noise in the shutters. Didn’t really do too much to offset it.
- Jennifer (10/5): A lovely place to stay on our trip to the Mornington Peninsula. - Everything Nothing. However some coasters to keep our glasses & mugs off the furniture would have been handy
- Ivan (8/5): Very good - The place is close to some of the attractions we went to, like the hot Springs, the Enchanted Adventure, and the beach. Nice cosy apartment. If you're a light sleeper, you may hear cars driving pass. But if you put the security blinds down, it muffled the noise and is more acceptable.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Caelan (10/5): Perfect spot to work and relax - Really nice location close to nice beaches and restaurants and a great spot to work from Nothing, despite being on a main road it was very peaceful and quiet!
- Jarrod (10/5): Perfect stay - Location, clean and tidy, spacious and really nice. Noise from the road but it wasn’t too bad.
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfy property in a great location.
- Kimber (9/5): Lovely relaxing weekend place to stay - Homey and cute, clean and easy to locate
- Matthew (10/5): Beautiful and cozy. - Everything. Great facilities and location.
Very grateful NA
- Saneshan (10/5): Spacious little unit - Great clean comfortable unit. Great hosts, easy to contact. Earplugs was a great touch, although we did not use them.
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Prasid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the compactness of the accommodation. It was light and airy and had a very homely feel. It was spotless and the bed was supercomfy! The facilities are top notch and this is an excellent base from which to explore the area.
There is everything you need for a blissful stay. I highly recommend. The noise from the road was at times a little loud when outside but inside it was ok and this is being addressed by the owners - I arrived just before the soundproofing takes place. It's only a minor issue and is far outweighed by the many many plus points.
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - Property was nice and comfortable Cobwebs around some of the lights and cars and trucks where very loud
- Patricia (10/5): The perfect getaway - The property was incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, there were ample sitting space and a desk so I could get some work done. The kitchen was well equipped as well. Location wise, it is so close to the beach, restaurants, breweries and the hot springs so 5 stars all around!
- Gerlyn (10/5): 2 nights of stay is not enough having to stay at a beautiful property like this one. Will definitely comeback. - Great get away place, beautiful decor and design of the place giving that cosy beach house, spacious pet friendly and comfy bed. Greg was attentive to our request to feel more secure especially having our little fluffy dog running around the property. Little things thats needs tweaking like bathroom soap holder but very small things that can easy get fixed.A bit of noise from traffic but all minimal.
- Finlay (8/5): Very good -
- Andriana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (8/5): Lovely stay with easy access to most of what the peninsula has to offer. - Beautiful little space. The pictures don’t adequately show that you get three rooms (bedroom, lounge room, kitchen + dining) along with outdoor space. The property has a walk in robe (closet). Nice shower. Good for our dog too. Got complimentary wine and mars bars. Very comfy bed, pillows and couch. Heated towel rack is good. I would stay here again. I didn’t get a chance to see the owner, so they’ll likely feel a bit blindsided by this comment. The initial towels had some stains and someone’s hair came off the towel. The owner had handed my partner some extra towels, which were fine. I also noticed stains on the sofa cushion (food?) from previous guests. Not a deal breaker.
- Rhonda (9/5): Great. Thank you. - Very comfy bed and place clean and bright. Bit noisy for traffic although the shutter blinds outside helped.
- Vikki (9/5): Very relaxed weekend, would like to stay again some time. -
- Cassandra (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (9/5): Great place, would maybe stay again - The room was very nice and comfortable. Two TVs both with streaming services was awesome. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was quite big. We had a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom and walk in robe. Also the noise from the main road was quite loud.
- Nikki (10/5): Beautiful stay in Blairgowrie - It was a great location being so close to Rye and Sorrento by car. The bed was really comfortable, it was really clean, beautiful natural light and catered well for a small dog. It was a very relaxing place to stay. There was a little bit of traffic noise but the benefits outweighed this small issue. I'd definitely stay here again.
- Nombie (9/5): Superb - What a charming place. So well appointed, it even had a walk in robe, so no luggage or clothes everywhere here.
Knowing it was on Melbourne Rd and previous reviews stating road noise, we were prepared, so it wasn't an issue.
The bottle of red wine and chocolates were a nice touch, thankyou. But I really have to talk about the bed, because when you are travelling, this is one of the most important things to set you up for a good day. THE best bed we have ever slept on while travelling. I think this shows how much the owners care about the comfort of their visitors, so a huge thank you.
I would stay here again and I would recommend. Thanks again. That toilet seat really needs attention as per other reviews.
- Belinda (9/5): wonderful! - Stayed before and loved it again for another short stay. Well located and love the gas fireplace. thanks for hosting us Greg and placing the mattress topper on bed for that extra bit of comfort. Cheers Traffic noise early in am , but take ear plugs and you'll be fine.
- Tiarn (7/5): Good -
- Isabel (10/5): We had a lovely weekend stay in this apartment. It just wasn’t long enough! Would definitely stay again. - Spacious, warm, modern decor, comfortable, nice kitchen appliances, clean, and was a pleasure to stay in. Nothing to dislike. Maybe some traffic noise but nothing to complain about.
- Catherine (10/5): Amazing experience in a cute and cozy cottage - Beautiful little cottage, in a central location, with the perfect amount of space and just the right amenities for our little weekend getaway. Greg and Mila were very accommodating with our request for an earlier check in. The best part of the cottage is that we were able to bring our dog along and the of course we have to mention the cozy fireplace as it was just amazing. Highly recommend a stay at Braydon House! The cottage is just off a main road, so it can be a little noisy at times. However, the house does have noise block out shutters, which helped!
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): A lovely stay at Brydon House - Great location and was a beautiful 1 bedroom house for our stay in the Mornington Peninsula. Just a few minor annoyances that can be easily fixed. The toilet seat was loose and the shower basin would nearly overflow when having a shower due to blocked floor waste.
- Taya (9/5): Superb - The property was easy to find and the location very central for Blairgowrie and Sorrento. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen has everything you need for a short stay. We had lovely evenings sitting by the gas log fire playing the games provided. Just a tip, the fridge is not full size, but is larger than a bar fridge and adequate for 2-3 people for a couple of days. The road noise could be quite disturbing to some even though the hosts have tried to minimise this by installing outside roller shutters. Perhaps bring your earplugs as I did and you won't have an issue although if the owners could install double glazing, at least on the bedroom, this would help. All in all, we had a great stay and will be back again.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Belinda (7/5): Good - Location within 1.5 klms of Blairgowrie shops and beach. Beautifully appointed and furnished. Very comfy bed. 2 TV's (one in bedroom). Great linen. Good Kitchen appliances. Whilst there is a lot to like about this property there are a few things that could do with some attention and changing. The dishwasher was currently out of action and awaiting a service. The coffee pods for the coffee machine were not the right ones for the machine and didn't fit. The road noise is an issue for anyone who prefers a quiet environment. There is water damage in the ceiling in the bathroom above the toilet which needs immediate attention as there is white mould/fungus appearing from the pealing plaster, which was disappointing. On a good note, the hosts seem lovely and happy to help make the stay pleasant.
- Abigail (9/5): Superb - Fabulous bright airy well appointed house. It is close to the road and Saturday night was busy.
- Geri (9/5): Superb - The place was beautiful, it was very neat, tidy and the perfect size for my husband, myself and our 8 year old daughter to have a 2 night getaway. It was a great location for us to visit the Rye carnival and the nearby beaches - less than 10 minutes to Rye, and so close to all the beaches. We read other reviews regarding the noise but the electric shutters helped to block the noise and we're not that noise sensitive so it didn't bother us and we found it to be a very relaxing 2 night stay for us - we look forward to coming back again.
- Dirk (9/5): great stay and will come again - Easy communication with host, property was fantastic and fully equipped. Property is on Melbourne Road which can be noisy. But host suggest to lower the window shutters and that kept the noise out. Good location, not far stroll to Sorento village (where everything is 25% more expensive than anywhere else )!
Great stay and will book again all good - nothing to fault this place; not close to the beach and direct on Melbourne Rd.
small fridge but ok for the weekend.
- Katie (10/5): Lovely French provincial meets beach style stay - Great space, pull out couch was great for my daughter. Really liked the bed, lounge area. Morning road noise but didn’t bother us.
- Rachael (6/5): Pleasant - Decor, property accessibility Was not pet friendly as advertised: big gaps under the fence so my dog had to be kept inside and supervised when outside. Kitchen but not even any salt and pepper to aid cooking.
- Dennis (7/5): Functional but noisy due to the road next to the property. - It is very clean and spacious. it had great facilities and the kitchen is well equipped. It sits next to a highway and the noise of the passing cars can make it challenging to sleep at night despite lowering the shutters.
- Lia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Overall stay was great as place was very clean and comfortable and close to main attractions. - Can get a bit noisy at night and can hear traffic as located on main street
- Lupo (5/5): Passable - House and facilities were good Whilst the house is well looked after, the continuous noise (even with roller shutters down) from the road traffic meant our goal of a peaceful, restful stay was not achieved.
Due to the noise level would not stay again
- Graeme (8/5): Very good -
- Das (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (9/5): Wonderful getaway- loved it thanks! - Loved the lounge with gorgeous fireplace and large comfy couch. So light, bright and clean with tasteful decor- a really lovely set up for a short getaway. All kitchen equipment required to cook even for 4, coffee maker with plenty of pods supplied, and even shampoo/ conditioner etc. in modern bathroom. Loads of storage / hangers in WIR. Teenager slept on comfy pull out Sofa w good quality linen. Even has large desk and wifi should you need to do some work. Cute private garden area and even a washer/ dryer for your wet towels! A real find in beautiful Blairgowrie- fantastically situated for beaches( watched amazing sunsets on back beach cliffs) as well as short drive to Rye, Sorrento, Peninsula hot springs and Gunnamata horse rides. Good value for money-Would love to return! Thanks Greg- a very responsive host. Small bar type fridge- but it had a small effective freezer too- so met our needs for short trip. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep in- loud morning traffic noise, but nights were fine. Better to get up and enjoy all on offer in location anyway! 😊
- Wangxing (10/5): very good location for small family and hot spring. - very clean and kitchenware is very good. washing machine is not working.
