Guest Reviews
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely stay in Mt Eliza - Very relaxing and cosy, amongst beautiful gardens. Julie was a lovely host with breakfast supplies provided. The toilet paper was the only thing
- Brendan Churchill (10/5): -
- Isabella (10/5): Fabulous amenities, very homey and comfortable, great base for vacation down south. - Very welcoming and comfortable. Everything we needed was there a very easy to access and enjoy the space. Literally nothing I didn’t like.
- Nabeel (10/5): Great location, great cottage, 10/10, no issues. - Location was perfect. Easy to access and absolutely peaceful. Hosts left bread, milk and other goods in the kitchen and bathroom which was so very kind of them. Did not even feel like there was a house next door, privacy was amazing!! Would definitely stay here again as the facilities were top notch, free wifi was excellent and TV was great. Beds were comfy, heater was efficient (we stayed in Winter), hot water wasn’t an issue and overall 10/10. Nothing, everything was great.
- Andrew (10/5): Very well presented accommodation and perfect for my needs. - In a quiet residential area, short drive to shopping centre. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and super clean (after 20 years in tourist accommodation industry I am well qualified to judge).
- Krister (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. The home-made brownies were absolutely delicious - a lovely welcome treat. - The cottage was charming, with a lovely vine covered courtyard, surrounded by undulating green lawns, established gardens, a tennis court (with raquets supplied) and a beautiful sparkling blue pool.
- J (9/5): Superb - Great location, very comfortable, had everything that we needed plus some. Highly recommend.
- Samantha (10/5): A little slice of paradise - It's absolutely perfect Stay wasn't long enough
- Alice (9/5): I feel that it is a nice home rather than a hotel. - It feels at home, very comfortable. It has a private tennis court, which gave us a lots of fun and convince for practice.
The location is also very nice, easy to walk to the reserve park, short drive to the local market.
- Charmaine (7/5): Good -
- Shalom (9/5): Lovely cottage. Pleasant stay - NIcely furnished and well equipped. Clear instructions, everything worked. Comfortable beds and furniture. Lovely gardens. Quite isolated from the main house, no noise issues, privacy was good. The weather was a disappointment, so we couldn't use the pool (perhaps it could have been heated, even though outside the season.
- Richard (10/5): Beautiful cottage - What a beautiful little cottage in a great location. Thank you Julie for making our stay so pleasant
- Pippa (9/5): Superb -
- Jess (10/5): A beautiful property, wonderful hosts and a stunning part of the world to enjoy - Stunning property
- Taynton (10/5): LOVED THIS PLACE - Warm, welcoming and very secure - Everything about The Cottage exceeded our expectations. It is perfectly positioned, peaceful and so welcoming. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, including some lovely homemade jam. I took my Mum for her birthday and I really can't wait to come back for a girls weekend. Our host Julie was easily contacted and answered any questions we had very promptly. We had the opportunity to meet her and have a chat to personally thank her for a wonderful stay! Nothing could be improved - PERFECT AS IS!
- Clare (10/5): Beautiful property and hard to fault in any way - Lovely just. Lovely extras!
- Flavia (9/5): A beautifully presented cottage with gorgeous garden views. - The decorating/styling
The garden The mattresses on both beds feel old and uncomfortable - need replacing sorry!!

- Helen (10/5): Quiet, relaxing & very stylish accommodation in a wonderful location for the Mornington Peninsula. - The Cottage vibe is lovely & homely...we found that the minute we walked in it was like being "at home".
We could feel the vibration of warmth, love and kindness throughout.
The location is spot on for exploring the Morning Peninsula and to return to the beautiful gardens in the evening to watch the sunset was also a highlight.
The special touches for accommodating our gluten free & dairy free options were another highlight.
Julie as host is extremely easy to deal with.
Highly recommend this accommodation...Thank you Helen & Edddie.
- Eddy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (9/5): Wonderful stay! -
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleanor (9/5): Superb - The Cottage is so cosy and well put together. The size is perfect and has everything you need. It has been really thoughtfully decorated and sits on the most lovely property.
- Kandice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (8/5): Very good - The cottage itself was lovely and clean and very quaint with nice little touches such as home made brownie slice, face cleanser, deodorant etc. The only thing I would fault is how close the cottage was to the main house which meant no privacy to sit outside and chat. As I was there with a person suffering from quite high anxiety it was not great for her as she felt she didn't want to sit outside. Also the bed in 2nd bedroom was squeaky which was a little annoying if you're a restless sleeper. Apart from that it was a lovely place.
- Helen (10/5): Thank you Julie it was lovely to meet you. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a romantic getaway - Julie was an absolute pleasure to feal with. After a very long day of travelling, Julie was there to welcome me to the lovely cottage. The extra effort the hosts go to, to make you feel welcome, are over and above anything I have experienced before.
Having family spread around the Mornington Peninsula, the location of the cottage was perfect.
The gardens are absolutely stunning with cherry blossom in bloom .. I didn’t want to leave and will definitely return !

- Mohamed (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (9/5): Easy comfort. - Homely. Comfortable. Fantastic facilities. Welcoming milk/bread/biscuit/muesli was a nice touch.
Main town and beaches just a short car ride away. Walking distance to the town or beaches would be ideal but in which case I would expect to pay a lot more.
- Constantijn (10/5): Excellent value for money. - Very spacious, homely, bright and surrounded by a nice garden. Julie was a very friendly host and made us feel very welcome.

The views out each window was amazing.
Although we could see the main house and it was very close by, we felt like we were in our own space. The towels were a bit rough. Would have been nice to have soft towels.
