• Scholtz (10/5): A sweet cozy cottage - Shane was attentive, kind and always checking in. Wonderful people. The location is lush, green and very beautiful.

Met all our requirements with a toddlers tagging along We didn't have power for 3days and day three even the solar didn't have power, but understandably was beyond the control of the owner. We used a portable gas burner but wish they had provided two more gas cannisters to cater for our cooking needs since we had a baby to cook for

The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely the place I want to stay when I travel to Johannesburg. n/a

• Kelvin (8/5): - We loved the serenity and homey feel of the cottage. The area was quiet and safe with many shops nearby. We had very hospitable and helpful hosts in Shane and Gary, who made us feel at home. Nothing not to like, really. Would just suggest the addition of screen mesh on the doors and windows to keep out the flies during cooking and meal times. Some more cooking pots/pans will be great as well.

Abflug erst am Abend, checkout am Nachmittag akzeptiert - Großes Lob! Sehr aufmerksame und hilfreiche Gastgeberin. Nur eine Zudecke je Doppelbett, 2 wären besser. Leider keine Spülmaschine und keine Waschmaschine. Garten schön, könnte gepflegter sein, wie auch die Dusche.
• Hooman (10/5): A real Gem in the heart of Bryanston 🤩 - Shane was a very welcoming and easily accessible host. The house had great security measures, and Shane’s sense of décor and attention to detail were impressive. Everything we needed was available in the cottage. It was a separate unit with its own private entrance, which was fantastic. There was also convenient on-property parking that made our stay easier. Lastly, Shane has a truly beautiful garden that we really enjoyed.

• Makunga (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful three night stay at Waybury Cottage. It is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even though we experienced load shedding, Shane had supplied a small gas hotplate so we were still able to cook and heat water for tea and coffee, and a rechargeable lantern for light. It made our trip feel like an adventure. The chickens and guinea fowl kept us amused too! Nothing!

Owner is very responsive and communicative. Excellent Internet. Convenient location where everything is a short drive away. Cottage feels very safe and secure. Highly, highly, highly recommend this property. Some minor maintenance on some aging fixtures is the only thing I can think that could make this more perfect.
• Jeremy (9/5): Comfortable and spacious accommodation on a lovely property with guinea fowl roaming the lawn, and very reasonably price - Beautiful spacious well equipped garden apartment with secure off-street parking. Unfortunately load-shedding (scheduled power outage) had just resumed in the area after a 10-month hiatus, and perhaps the host was caught off guard as we felt we were not at first adequately briefed on what to expect. They do have a backup system and it was fine after the first day.

It felt as if we were in the country, but we were very central to everything. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed: a home away from home. It exceeded our expectations. Shane was an excellent host. She was always available if needed and was very generous with treats and supplies. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Thank you for this once again. Very safe and one does not have the feeling that is just another crunched rental property. Beds are a bit hard and water pressure in the shower is also very low. ( minimal things )
• Caroline (10/5): A hidden gem - The cottage is spacious and comfortable. It has a very nice covered terrace with furniture and a braai (barbeque). The kitchen is very well equipped which made it easy for us to prepare a few meals for ourselves. The cottage is a little away from the main house which meant it was private and also had its own entrance drive. It is located in a boomed area which gives additional security. There is also a laundry service available for an extra fee. Shane (the owner) was informative, helpful and flexible.

That left me under the impression, that the host is welcoming us in there home. Wrong! It was the "Cottage"! Very spacious, very well equipped airy as well as a very new kitchen and practical Kitchen which I enjoyed a lot. One of a few properties I stayed at which had a well equipped kitchen. The area around the cottage was very quiet and peaceful. The hosts organised a monitor so that I could work a bit. My question, if it would be possible that my travel partner could have a very late check out as his transport to Cape Town was delayed to 19:00h was, "as there is no booking for the following night, Sure"! Thank's again! There was nothing I didn't like. Maybe, as I was sick and spend most time in Bed, a small Tv. Now BOOKING.COM" ask me to write more?! Where there is nothing to complain, there is nothing to write. Sorry
