Room had/has many issues - obviously for some time and not sorted ou - Location was excellent, resort facilities were great, owners responsive to the many issues - Restaurant voucher provided for some of them. The room facilities weren’t good; rusty kettle with rusty water left in, rusted and broken clothes horse, dirty spa and water, yellow bath water from rust in pipes, mouldy blinds, attention needed for deeper cleaning - dusty, cabinets, very worn and finish is peeling, very old and dated - blankets very musty and used from previous guests - needs love and attention - food left on the floor from previous guest. Could be much better if the cleaners cared. Needs maintenance, and they carried out water tank replacement whilst there which was mentioned until the day of. High price for the quality.
Marsh (7/5): Overall, a lovely stay and will return. - It was in a good location and the resort was quiet. The buffet breakfast was overall good, however, there were limited options for gluten free. Whilst the room was good overall, the entry into the front door was quite messy and untidy. There was a kitchenette, however, dishes had to be washed in the bathroom sink.

Kat (8/5): Great holiday, not so great accommodation. - We had a great holiday - the location was fantastic and the amenities of the hotel were very good, particularly the swimming pool. We hadn't realised it was so far out but the excellent SR shuttle bus made popping in and out of town as easy as if we had our own car. The electronic access code was sent to the wrong phone number - yet when I checked Booking.com site the day before, my current number was registered? The studio was disappointing - mis matched plates, cups and crockery. Missing shelves in a very basic fridge made storage difficult. This was not our idea of a 'luxury' studio; neither was the absence of a kitchen sink in the kitchenette. We weren't cooking gourmet dinners, but having to wash breakfast dishes in the bathroom sink was not our idea of luxury either. We were sure the blurb on booking promised a drying rack, but again this was absent - in a resort focused on a swimming pool, there was neither coat hook nor extra towel rail to hang the inevitable wet towels, swimming costumes - and jackets. Disappointing when it often rains in the tropics. To sum up - resort gets a big tick, hotel gets a big tick, shuttle service gets a big tick ... 'luxury' studio? not so much.

Shelley (10/5): Excellent! - Loved this apartment. Located right overlooking the main pool area with a huge open space on the roof with a spa. It was a large apartment, very clean, came with a handy garage space, and the hosts were amazing.
Destiny (1/5): - The sea temple staff themselves - beautiful people and helpful! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and the facilities and location are great. Unfortunately, our experience with the private owners of this studio, Aidan and Kirrily, completely overshadowed that. We arrived on Sunday and, due to travel fatigue and a full day planned on Monday, we didn’t immediately notice the true condition of the apartment. By Tuesday, it became clear that the cleanliness was not up to standard, particularly in the bathroom. What was most concerning was the condition of the pillows, which appeared unhygienic. It was extremely unsettling to realise we had already slept on them. We were also not provided with suitable replacement pillows that night, which is a basic necessity and should never be an issue for guests. When we raised these concerns, the response from the owners was disappointing and lacked any genuine effort to resolve the situation. They only offered a partial refund for 3 days on the condition that we vacated the property by 8pm on Tuesday night, otherwise, the refund would be void. This put us in a very difficult position. The owners suggested we stay at another resort that had availability, however when we asked if they could assist in arranging or covering an alternative room, we were told we would need to pay for it ourselves. Unfortunately, this was not financially possible for us at the time, which forced us to remain another night despite the circumstances. Ultimately, we made the decision to leave early and return home after only 3 days in Port Douglas, incurring additional costs for earlier flights. Despite everything, the owners did not provide any refund or meaningful compensation. The only support we received was a $100 goodwill credit from Booking.com, which did not come close to covering the inconvenience and extra expenses we incurred. It’s a shame, as the resort itself is lovely, but the lack of care, flexibility, and basic support from the owners made this a very negative experience.
Samantha (7/5): - Fantastic pool and pool lounge areas. The remote location and limited access to nearby amenities made getting around quite challenging unless you have a vehicle. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the shuttle service being paid added an extra inconvenience. The policy of only offering luggage storage to in-house guests was disappointing, particularly given the distance from Cairns and the mismatch with common flight departure times.

Briana (9/5): Room in gorgeous Port Douglas - The resort is lovely with a great pool and close to the beach. The room was large with a big bed and spa bath. The balcony was great for reading and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchenette was well equipped with cutlery, plates, salt and pepper. The water pressure was average and the shower head was old and needs replacing. The beds only had a thin throw rug which I assume is because of the heat but with the aircon always on, a proper blanket would have been appreciated. Otherwise it was great!

Alexandra (10/5): Paradise - Loved the place. We got an early check in which worked out well with our flight being so early. Had what we needed. The pool and gym were good. The spa was fun. The bathroom huge. Storage space was good and mini kitchen great. Lift to room was good. Easy to get in and no key needed which is even better. More information about how to get to town would have been good. We figured it out and used the coach system. Got a bit cold at night with air con having to be on all night so maybe just need an extra blanket in the room. Otherwise, honestly it was great.

Better blinds seeing into the apartment for some more privacy. It's more a shade rather than a covered blind, so people can see in at night. Would be good to have both shade and covered blind. But other than that, was fantastic!

The maids came in while we were still packing up, abused us. Then the manager rang and abused us. All for a short time late - no one else checked in. Appalling.

Elaine (9/5): Best hotel pool I’ve ever been in‼️😎 - What I loved- the pool is the best and in Nov it was walk in temp. After a day out, we looked forward to cooling off in the pool. We’d grab a happy hour cocktail or 5 and cruise around the huge pool, drinking and meeting other guests. Everyone was happy and kids were enjoying themselves. If you wanted a quiet corner, the pool is that big, you can find several. The best part about the hotel is the walk out rooms to the pool on the ground floor. They are 2-3 bedrooms. We were on the second floor with a garden view…rookie mistake. Go for the ground floor pool walk out. Or a 2 bedder on second floor with views, if you’re worried about kids getting into the pool unsupervised ( these rooms also have a rooftop deck with private jacuzzis). If you wanted to get into port Douglas at night and don’t want to drive, there are a couple of Ubers and a shuttle bus from the hotel. I loved loved loved the hotel and its pool. It would be a different experience if it was winter and the pool was cold. They really should look into heating the pool in the winter because it really is their point of difference. Because I booked thru booking.com, we were not considered official guests of the hotel and couldn’t charge back to the room, which meant we had to pay every time for our drinks. No big deal, first world problem, just a bit clunky getting my phone out of my beach bag, going to the bar and then walking my phone back to my bag. But the reward was a cocktail and flopping back into the pool. I also learnt that Pullman only manage around 30% of the apts ( they charge their owners too much) and the other 70% are on other booking platforms, so it means more choice for the consumer if we use other platforms, like booking.com! Be aware, there isn’t much infrastructure around the hotel, but it’s on a beach, with one of the best pools and it’s a quick drive into port Douglas.
