Guest Reviews
- John (9/5): Relaxing. Will come again. - Amazing location upstairs and sea views. Not a lot. Only small things
Mike very responsive.
- Ruth (4/5): Great views and location but…… - View and location fantastic, with a spacious lounge and patio. Steep stairs, very tight bedroom from which we could hear the IGAs airconditioners/refrigerator units all night. Unit really needs a deep clean and some maintenance.
We unfortunately could also smell dog adour when room was closed up.
- Kylie (10/5): A well priced stay with the most stunning views - Amazing view plenty of room for family of four, terrace was beautiful to watch sunrise and sunsets every day.
Double bed so comfortable, includes a single bed and trundle on entry up the stairs, which my kids enjoyed, comfy lounge room, big TV, towels, shampoo/conditioner and hand soap included
IGA, pub, kiosk and souvenir shops all in walking distance.
You can hire kayaks from the caravan, will definitely stay again. Everything was amazing, no complaints about property or owners at all.
There was some cat hair (?) Left around trundle bed which caused kids some allergies the first night, but all good after a vacuum and some of the cups in cupboards were not washed properly from previous people, but we gave everything a wash. Scissors needed in kitchen draw and only 1 roll of toilet paper provided but we bought our own.
- Joseph (9/5): I commend the owners on making this a memorable place to stay. - A quiet spot with great views, right next door to a coffee shop and groceries. The apartment is very tidy and all manner of conveniences have been left for use. Great communication from the owners. Nothing I didnt like. The only suggestion is location of the power point in living area for charging phones was behind the TV. I always carry a powerboard with me so no problems.
- Leonie (9/5): Views & location just perfect. - Views incredible!
- Jill (9/5): A wonderful apartment with a wonderful view - The living area and outdoor area were exceptional. Had everything, and more, we could want for our three night stay. AND THE VIEW? To die for. We could have just stayed in the apartment and watched the rhythm of the day, the swimmers enjoying themselves, walkers enjoying a stroll…a wonderful aspect that we recommend to anyone wanting the prime position in Port Vincent. The stairs were quite steep - being in our seventies albeit quite fit, we felt a little intimidated. The main bedroom being so very small and with a door that couldn’t be wide open, this didn’t enhance good sleeps, although the bed was very comfortable. (?might a sliding door be more practical?)
- Elizabeth (10/5): Best spot in town! - The living area overlooking the bay was beautiful. The seating there was comfortable and the kitchen facilities were very good. There is a lot of natural light in the living area, and it's welcoming on arrival to spend time there. We felt we had the best spot in this lovely little town for our stay . I'm in my seventies so was very careful using the internal stairs. The bedroom space was a bit cramped.
- christopher (8/5): -
- Fleur (10/5): Brilliant stay. Can’t wait for next year. Highly recommend. - Location! Location! Location!! Best views in Port Vincent. Nothing
- Kirsten (10/5): - loved the location, the view and the overall feel of the apartment. Mike and Trish were fantastic to deal with and super responsive to my questions and very flexible. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
- Neil (7/5): Port Vincent is a lovely holiday town, and a great location to explore lower Yorke Peninsula. - Location was perfect. close to the hotel and next door to the cafe, right on the foreshore with a lovely view of the bay. The bedroom was small, almost claustrophobic.
- Marcus (9/5): Great Location - The views are outstanding of Port Vincent Bay and beach. Just a few yards away. Well.laid out open plan living area. Huge TV and comfortable furnishings. As previous reviewers have mentioned..the supermarket air-conditioning unit (which is right behind the property) is quite loud. It's like the bearings have gone. If a light sleeper bring some ear plugs (like we did) and sleeping won't be a problem.
The lock on the main door is quite worn and needs repairing/replacing.
- Leanne (8/5): -
- Kellie (8/5): - The location.
I have stayed many times with my Sister, mum, partner and it’s just so easy to walk to everywhere in town. The small light could do with a lower watt globe but that’s nothing major
- Fiona (9/5): Excellent relaxed few days - The location and view was fabulous
Comfortable with all the ammenities we needed
Secure for a small dog One bedroom lamp did not have a globe
Guests need to be mobile as steps are quite steep.
Not a lot of room in main bedroom for larger people
- Hebberman (9/5): - Fantastic location, views exceptional being on the esplanade. Unit was very comfortable for 2, decking was a fantasic area to sit outside and just watch the water. All in all was a fantastic spot, the small negative well outwayed the ppsitives od this unit. We rented the upstairs only, bedroom was very small. Living area was very comfy but the coffee table is in a weird position and you cannot put yoir drink on it and sit on the couch and the table.was very heavy to move would have been better to have 2 small tables to put near the couch.
- Louise (8/5): Relaxing. - Location to beach, supermarket and eateries and views from apartment.
- SK Masud (6/5): The sea view and the balconies were amazing - The sea view and the balconies were amazing. The stairs are right next to a bed, which is a bit concerning for kids. The sofa cushions and linen weren't cleaned. The electric stove has no labels for high or low heat.
- Cheryl (8/5): -
- Cynthia (9/5): Very happy with location, very happy all round - We loved the views from our apartment.
The facilities were 1st class.
Really enjoyed our stay in Pt Vincent Nil
- Michael (8/5): -
- Tom (1/5): disappointed based on old reviews and booking.com 4 box rating - View was good but pity you had to view it through dirty windows. Location was handy to shops, pub etc Place had a dusty, moody smell which did not improve with airing. Furniture was dirty and throws not clean. Deck was a mess, rusting chairs, broken table, dying plants, unusable BBQ. Noisey airconds and fridge units next to bedroom window.
- Melita (9/5): Visit a beautiful seaside town with friendly locals enjoyed staying at Crystal Blue. - The location was fantastic, with beautiful waterfront views. A lovely friendly town with everything within walking distance. Thoroughly recommend fish and chips from the seaside cafe and wood oven pizza a couple of doors down. I think Crystal Blue apartment is a little gem, and Port Vincent is beautiful town worth visiting. The only thing lacking was a visitors book, not that important though.
- Chris (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Loved it! - Location was fantastic...right opposite bay. Close to shop centre, Balcony/deck area terrific
Fully stocked kitchen appliances. As its pet friendly l had to expect it...but pet hair on lounge.
The cupboard doors need a good wipe down
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Christopher (1/5): - Booked and was told our booking was cancelled TYE DAY BEFORE we were due to go there!!!!!!
- Koulizos (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Susan (9/5): The location of this apartment, on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula, is just unbeatable. - Unbeatable location! Look out to sea from indoors or out on the verandah. Next door to a well stocked IGA and an excellent cafe/pizza shop. Over the road from the seafront promenade. Very well equipped kitchen. Very spacious living area. Steep stairs, small bedroom with wonky Venetian blinds
- Isabelle (8/5): Beautiful view and comfortable living - Fantastic view, great location in Port Vincent right near the IGA, pub and the kiosk where you can get a nice ice cream. Bed was incredibly soft, very comfortable. Couches were great. I cannot say enough about the view at sunrise, absolutely gorgeous. Definitely well worth every cent. Very easy to get in contact with the property owners when needed as well, readily available for any questions or assistance. Love the dishwasher! Love the garage! So many channels available on the smart TV that kept us very entertained, and able to connect to Netflix etc. While there was a minor hiccup on arrival, it was immediately rectified with no issue at all. Would be nice to have a few more bin bags available and some tea towels as we did struggle a bit to find one to use - all incredibly minor details! The bedroom is quite small but there’s plenty of space for storage in the main area, the stairs are quite steep but no issue for us. We couldn’t find a DVD player but lots of dvds, but we managed easily with Eurovision on instead!
- Ritchie (7/5): Beach location. - Balcony and view were amazing.
Pet friendly was a huge bonus and the reason we chose this property. Very tight in both bedroom and bathroom. My partner really struggled with how little space there is in toilet area.
- Leanne (7/5): Good -
- Xenia (8/5): Very good - Loved sitting on the balcony early in the morning watching the sunrise over the ocean. Very peaceful and quiet.
- Dawn (6/5): lovely views - needs some upgrades - The view was exceptional - The balcony a real bonus - the size of the place was perfect for the 2 of us. Bedding was crisp and clean. Towels were soft. On the downside -The beds were hard - lounges needed a good clean and some of the walls needed a new coat of paint. I found a set of mugs that had been placed back in the cupboard without being washed - the dishwasher sorted this one out.
Floors were very dusty - maybe a new cleaner needed?
- Melissa (8/5): We loved Port Vincent 👌 - The view was amazing and perfect location. The bedroom was so small and had to put our bags in the living room. The bathroom tap needs to be longer. We had to put things in fridge as the ants are really bad, even in the bathroom we noticed.
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, great facilitues & very clean.
- Trudy (8/5): Very good -
- Leonie (9/5): Loving Port Vincent - The views from the living room and large covered deck were fantastic! We were right at the beach and close to the few shops. There was a good stock of kitchen items. Good storage space throughout. Undercover private parking was a bonus. Lots of options to relax. It was a beautiful location for swimming, walking, relaxing and exploring the southern parts of the Yorke Peninsula. Great coffee shop below the apartment! The bedroom is very very small and felt quite cramped. Lighting was poor in the kitchen and living room. No washing facilities makes a long stay tricky.
- Graeme (7/5): Good -
- Siobhan (8/5): Excellent location, garage space great for storing g bikes and kayaks - Location is perfect, beautiful views from the apartment
- Margie (9/5): We enjoyed our stay very much, apartment becoming dated, but the view & location excellent. Our 3 rd or 4th stay. - The million dollar view The toilet seat was broken, some of cooking pots & pans very old, the vertical drapes had a few panels missing & the middle blind hard to pull up.
- Douglas (9/5): Great stay though would have preferred a larger bedroom - Fantastic location Small bedroom
- Kylie (9/5): Hard to beat this location. View is terrific from the balcony. - Location amazing. Nothing
- Chris (9/5): Great family getaway, close to amenities. - The view and location. Outdoor area. It could do with a freshen up of paint. A deep clean in the bathroom. The front door was a bit stiff to open.
- Ryno (6/5): Good place to stay, apartment need some TLC - Location was great, kitchen and living area spacious. Bathroom was very nice. Patio space outside was fantastic and the views were amazing. Great coffee shop below (had pizza there one night, wow). All the boardgames and cards were a bonus. Really enjoyed our stay at Crystal Blue. I won't really advertise this as a family apartment. Pull out couch/bed in corner was ok for one to sleep on. My 6 year old slept on pull out portion. It's so close to the very steep stairs down to front door. Actually dangerous. She slept on the couch for the rest of the week. The BBQ was really dirty, we planned a few BBQ nights - was very disappointed to find the BBQ in such a state. No way I would put any meat on it and also spending an hour to clean it as well. TLC needed for me to rebook there again. Blinds needs an upgrade, especially to block out the light. The blind by the door is past due to be replaced. There is enough space in the living room to move that pull-out bed/couch there. Some of the pans and pots needs to be replaced, same for some of the utensils. Those weighted blankets over the couch kept falling off, was a real pain, we left them off. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. We would really come and stay there again, but only if there are some upgrades.
- Sammy (8/5): Very good - The view and Location were absolutely amazing. Great value for money too. Nice big tv and couches to lay on. Place was clean and had pretty much everything you need. Owners very easy to deal with and allowed us early checkin at my request. Minimal things to complain about. Bed could do with better linen. The blinds in the bedroom wouldn’t close so light came streaming in first thing in the morning which was frustrating.
- Siobhan (8/5): Loved my stay in port vincent in the crystal blue apartment. Will be back ! - Fantastic location, beautiful views
- Mark (5/5): It was alright - I liked the view The neighbouring business refrigeration converter constantly cutting in and out. It was quite loud.
- Mark (8/5): Port Vincent a lively place to visit but even though vies was amazing wound try somewhere else next time - Location with an amazing view Small bedroom hard to get into one side of bed with door.
BBQ dirty balcony table filthy
Lounge had ridiculous blankets on to cover up all the wear and tear which was a nusciance kept fall down.
Apartment needs some TLC
- Karen (9/5): Superb - No Wifi and no tissues
- Darlene (8/5): Very good - view small bedroom
- Brad (10/5): A relaxing stay we can’t wait to come back - The view was amazing and having an undercover park for the tinnie a winner
- Goh (9/5): Rate 9. Clean, the house is facing the sea. - We love the house and even the owner are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is fully equipped, Whatever we need are there. The house very clean and the bed is good and a firm mattress. The neighbour is very helpful and friendly. We'll come back again. Thank you Both my husband and I are senior.
This is an upstairs house,2nd floor. Where booking. com didn't stated only upstairs.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (8/5): Was a nice comfortable apartment. - Apartment was clean.locked carport Blinds did not give full cover in rooms. No window cover above kitchen door and lounge room sliding . Would have preferred full sun blockout. This is a personal preference.
- Conlon (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (8/5): Very relaxing, convenient location, walking distance to everything - Great location , appreciated letting us have our dog, Nothing
- Kaye (8/5): Great view, central location - The view and adjacent patio, and very comfortable bed. Off-street parking was a bonus. Perfect location for shops and a view.nivpce modern shower. Front stairs were quite steep, had to carry our dog up.
- Kelly (10/5): A wonderful apartment by the sea - An amazing apartment with great views. Best views in Port Vincent. Had everything we needed.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Good location but really needs some upgrading to make it better value for money. - Great spot overlooking the ocean. Comfy bed and couch. Noisy rattling windows in the wind. Puddles of water came under the door in the rain. Blinds in bathroom and bedroom don’t work. Generally needs an update as it’s quite tired.
- Hendri (9/5): Superb -
- Glazebrook (8/5): Very good -
- Lolita (7/5): Amazing views and access to the beach and amenities. - Incredible view and access to the beach and local amenities. The bedroom backed onto the rear of the supermarket, which had refrigerated air-conditioners going all night. Starting and stopping.
- Julie (8/5): Beautiful location - The location across from the water was lovely. Space was sunny and light filled. Very comfortable and had all you need
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (5/5): Don’t be taken in by the looks, poor designed for bedroom and bathroom. - The view and balcony were very good Bedroom was far too small, had to shuffle round the door to get to the bed. The toilet was very cramped in the bathroom, the apartment was all show and not practical. And worse of all our car was damaged whilst parked in the garage.
- Aaron (10/5): Great location and view. Super easy check in and communication with host. - Location and view
- Margaret (9/5): A comfortable and well equipped apartment in a great location - The apartment was spacious and smartly furnished and the view across the water was fabulous. We enjoyed the terrace and the BBQ, and the location close to the hotel, coffee shop and supermarket was a bonus We had trouble getting the cooktop up to temperature, and the outside lighting around the BBQ was marginal
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dulcie (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the picture windows was great.
- Vicki (10/5): Beautiful place to stay and enjoy am amazing view and peaceful time away - Location was perfect. View is amazing. Apartment had everything we needed. Bedroom was comfy but very small
- Callie (8/5): Best views in Port Vincent - Location. Shops within steps (literally) and marina/boat ramp a two minute drive.
One balcony for entertaining, with seating, the other for standing, but both with views.
Beach and jetty directly across street.
Rooms well decorated/furnished. Large, comfortable lounge area.
Well furnished kitchen (except for dinner knives)
Private locked garage with automatic door. Dual access to unit via garage and front door. Bedroom was quite small, but the bed was really(!) comfy.
Microwave is really old (but it did work).
It could be more generous with tea towels and garbage bags, but that's not a deal breaker.
No clothes washing machine is a bit inconvenient for longer stays. The advertised details don't say there is a machine, but if you don't read the information carefully, you would presume there is one in a place of this size/quality.
- Petra (10/5): Thanks for the stay - Nice location, clean Could be good to have a bit more bed room but was fine
- Cindy (9/5): Great view, good location, warm host. - We couldn’t opened the lock box. The Host came out hand over the key very smoothly. Great welcome. Need a bit more clean.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (9/5): Fantastic location, views, views, views. Comfortable and spacious - the location is superb. The apartment had wonderful views. The place was comfortable and clean and spacious. Was very well stocked with all items required to cook our own meals. Love that there was ice already in the freezer ready to go plus two ice trays filled too The blankets over the couches. I had mentioned this before from our last stay, they are very annoying, as they slip down with our slightest movement on the couch.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Lovely view and location
- Kathy (8/5): Very good - Sea views, location! Great terrace. Webber ignition button didn't work, or flint gun.
The noise coming from the compressor next door, could not sleep with window open.
- Kellie (8/5): Overally we were really happy. - Location was amazing Ants that were in the kitchen. For sale sign blocking view when sitting outside. Needs to be positioned to the far left or far right.
- Mariana (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (6/5): Pros and cons - Great kitchen facilities. Beautiful views and cosy, bright living area. Very close to local supermarket, cafe and pub. Shower did not have a door.
Garage was accessed by others (presumably owners) without warning. Garage door was disconnected from motor (manual override) and door was left up.
Lots of add-on fees after booking if you choose to use more than one towel or want to charge an electric vehicle.
- Claire (10/5): A great beachfront getaway - The views are awesome, great that it has a baloney and BBQ Nothing
- Ralph (9/5): A very pleasant stay, great location - The apartment was nice, spacious and pretty quiet. It was right across the road from the beach. A bit disappointing that there was no laundry facilities , had to drive to another town or negotiate with the caravan park management.
- Dulcie (10/5): Great weather lovely lodgings . Will come again - The view from the picture windows was magnificent. Comfy lounge seating . Great to beable to sit out on the sundeck. Every thing you need to cook with in the kitchen. Everything was great
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Rose (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (8/5): Loved our stay! - The view over the bay was amazing! Right next to a coffee shop/cafe and a 30 second walk to the pub for dinner 🙂 The Unit was comfortable and tastefully furnished.
- Iwona (8/5): Seaside holiday - Excellent views from the windows and the terrace. Good for people watching, lots of activities.
Closeness to township
Having a garage so the car was in the shade
Spacious and modern bathroom with a big shower cubicle Noise of industrial coolers on the roof of the supermarket behind the apartment going all night and heard even through closed windows. I had to sleep with ear plugs.
Walls and doors are old and in need of maintenance, the furniture is tired, kitchen cupboards badly chipped.
The lounges were covered in blankets that kept slipping off the vinyl furniture.
The place was clean but not spotless.
- Christine (9/5): Relaxing comfortable apartment, with stunning views of Port Vincent - Large apartment had everything we needed and more. Great decking with BBQ with a magnificent view. Next to cafe, close to hotel, and supermarket. Very comfortable and would highly recommend. (we even saw dolphins in the bay from our balcony)
- Tim (9/5): Very relaxing, just what we were after - Location, very comfortable N/a
- Kelly (8/5): Nice - Location was perfect. Didn't kike the smell had a oily smell
- Michael (9/5): Will definitely like to come again. - Other family have a holiday home here .so was great to be in crystal blue to spend time with them. Beautiful view Some essentials like cooking oil need to be refilled.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Jeannette (5/5): Passable -
- Jafa (9/5): very enjoyable stay. able to visit many of the towns on the Yorke peninsula, in fact I think we got to enjoy almost al - proximity to town (in the town ) couldn’t get any closer. spacious apartment. felt like home no laundry facility. had to take washing to local nearby caravan park.
- Deb (10/5): Only stayed for my dog for the vets.glad it was pet friendly and sorry I stayed 1 night due my dog - Everything Nothing
- Ann (4/5): Claustrophobic in Pt Vincent - Lovely view and verandah. Stairs were dangerous, both back and front.
Bedroom poker. You couldn't swing a cat in it. Had to open the door, move around door, then close door before you could get into and out of bed. I was claustrophobic with door closed. Blinds didn't cut out street lights. Slept intermittently on couch, because room was so claustrophobic.
