Guest Reviews
- Robert (6/5): -
- David (1/5): It was very disappointing because the apartment was completely unsuitable for older guests. - The apartment was close to the town centre The bed was up on concrete steps and there were tiled side tables with sharp edges. This arrangement was both difficult and dangerous - especially for older people. The tiled floors were slippery when wet and tiles were lifting off the floor in the shower. The internet was slow and frequently dropped out. The apartment is located across the street from a pub which played very loud music until after 10 pm - an early night's sleep was impossible as the unit is not soundproof. The kitchen was located on the balcony and therefore not air conditioned. There was no room service and the owners expected the guests to remove their own rubbish.

- Dianne (2/5): Location perfect, room very uncomfortable, WiFi rarely worked hence no TV, not enough storage in bat -
- David (5/5): - New dishware and glassware Sound from pub opposite , bathroom unclean and badly designed , common areas dated, still water and algae growth disgusting
- Gabrielle (9/5): Perfect apartment in a perfect location - The apartment was gorgeous - very art deco feel!
It was clean, in a good location and had a perfect kitchenette for cooking when required. Nothing
- Lorraine (5/5): Despite the feedback above we were on holiday and these things did not impact our stay - The location was central so much so that every night we were unable to block out the music to the pub on the corner, had we been aware of this we would not have booked this room. We were unable to connect to the internet and when we contacted the number provided we were told that the problem would be fixed an we would be emailed a code and a 'logged' number, neither of these happened. We also requested extra bedding but were told that this needed to be requested in the original booking so we did not recieve this. We were also told that car parking was available but the resort said a fob was needed to enter the carpark and there was no fob or information on how to access a fob provided. It may seem petty but the toilet brush was stained and needed replacing.
- Alex (7/5): Comfortable - Stylish. And loved the balcony area.
Central location. Very noisy (as mentioned in the ad) but much louder than I thought with live music over the road every night.
- Linda (8/5): Lovely - Great position beautifully appointed Given the position it was very noisy with neighbouring music establishments… we have stayed across the road but had no issue with noise as the glass must have been double glazed. Also needed drawers to put clothes in as there was only hanging space. A couch would have been great instead of two day beds:)
- Elaine (3/5): Poor - The pool. Resort staff were very friendly even though they could not help us. No live TV. No comfortable chairs to sit in. Kitchen cupboards too high. Bed too low to get out of for older people. No shelving to store clothes when unpacked. Shower sprayed water over the floor. Ten nights without towel change free of charge.
- Catriona (5/5): Not a peaceful place to stay - Location Very noisy as opposite a very noisy live music venue. Apartment bathroom was badly designed with a drainage point in the middle of the floor which was constantly swamped with excess water
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Nicky (8/5): Great room, terrific location. - Some drainage issues in the bathroom
- Nolan (7/5): Good -
- Alison (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (10/5): fantastic apartment - location and facilities nothing
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (9/5): Would definitely recommend, beautiful apartment. Fantastic location. Helpful host - Loved the outdoor kitchen and balcony overlooking the main street No exhaust fan in the bathroom and poor shower drainage. Water flowed out of the shower across bathroom floor.
- Carol (2/5): Ongoing, unresolved issues. No staff onsite to help. Never stay again. - Didn’t order breakfast.
Location central, marred by loud amplified music from the Courthouse Hotel till around 10pm each night. 1. Arrived at 2pm. Room not ready till 3-3.30pm. We came back, then on texting the online concierge Ella, eventually got a reply saying it would be ready by 5pm. We came back at 5pm and it still wasn’t ready. Finally got in at 5.30pm. We understand staffing issues re Covid, but could have been notified earlier on the day with a firm time so we could have made other arrangements. A receptionist downstairs, who had no responsibility for our room, let us leave our bags there. We then got a text saying she was leaving at 3pm and locking up, so we had to come back and collect them.
2. Club Tropical concierge only available by text. Frustrating and time consuming when trying to deal with issues yourself, instead of staff who’re there.
3. No hair dryer or shower curtain. The floor flooded after each shower. No mop to clean it up. Lights in the bathroom over the mirror were dull, making application of makeup tricky for a woman. No full length mirror in the room.
4. TV didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed for the duration of the stay. No other options offered. Eg Change of room. Understand management already knew about ongoing TV reception issues. Spent a few hours trying to get it to work. Technician came the next morning and had no success either. He could not offer any alternative other than watching the ABC only or YouTube clips, which he eventually managed to operate. The whole TV system is clumsy, intricate and with no written instructions.
5. Tedious working out how light and Airconditioning worked. No written instructions.
6. Getting in and out of bed was little better than sleeping on the ground in a tent. The concrete surrounding the bed made most of what was a large room hard to use effectively.
7. No chairs or table in the room. 2 canvas chairs and a small table on the balcony which one had to continually move around depending on whether we were in or outside.
8. The outside kitchen was good as was the range of utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses etc.
