• Mark (7/5): Room and location perfect but avoid until construction completed - Location and room were perfect. Construction upgrades went all weekend with works commenced at 6.45am on a long weekend . Jack hammers and pressure washers created unbearable noise. Pool was out of action for 4 of 6 days
• David (9/5): Great location, generous hosts, lovely space. - Perfect location close to shops but not too close to the noise. Drinks and fruit a nice welcoming touch. Great space with thoughtful range of useful items to borrow (hats, coolers etc). Outside pool with 'secret' spa button (we found it but most people didn't seem to). Whisper-quiet aircon in bedroom! Very little! Directions to unit could be made slightly clearer (there are 2 sets of steps to the left of reception!) and no lifts within useful range. A pair of scissors would have been useful.
• Paula (10/5): Relaxing vacation and walking distance to all restaurants, the wharf, beach markets and anything we wanted to do. - Very spacious with a lovely view. Close proximity to restaurants but also had good cooking facilities if you wanted to cook.

Fruit platter, milk and other drinks in fridge. Easy and prompt contact with hosts. Apartment could do with a little TLC . Chips here and there and in need of painting. Water leaking in fridge had to keep towel in there. Leaky tap out on patio
• Long (10/5): An unforgettable stay with luxury, relaxation, a warm welcome, and the perfect location for couples! - We truly appreciated the warm welcome, complete with a thoughtful fruit platter and complimentary beverages to kickstart my first evening. The suite was spotless and modern, offering a cozy indoor kitchen ideal for preparing relaxing meals. The BBQ area beside the pool on the patio was a great touch. The private pool, accessed right from the living room to the balcony, was a highlight. With its central yet peaceful location and attentive hosts. The only downside was that the stay felt too short. Time seemed to fly by so quickly, as we were thoroughly enjoying every moment of our experience. It would have been wonderful to have had more time to soak in everything the place had to offer.
• Jennifer (9/5): Very comfortable appartment, excellent location, cannot fault it except maybe the pool/spa. - The penthouse was excellent, newly renovated, well catered, a very comfortable bed, lovely modern bathroom. The pool and spa were a bit dated, needing some repairs.

• Michael (10/5): We had an excellent time in a very comfortable and well-appointed apartment. - Fantastic location with easy access to everything Port Douglas has to offer. The property has a swimming pool and a lovely westerly-facing view. Great sunsets from the kitchen-on-the-balcony! The shower (and bathroom floor when wet) is incredibly slippery. Some sort of shower anti-slip mat would have been helpful.

• Jamie (9/5): Peaceful escape from Victoria’s winter - Beautiful view of the pool and close location to the shoreline and town beach. The apartment was very clean and well set out. Wifi didn’t work but at no fault of the host but an issue with the resort.

Sliding door to kitchen/balcony locked when accidently closed locking my wife and myself out of the apartment. The managers of the Resort refused to help as this unit is privately owned. The fit out of the apartment and the building itself needs refurbishment.
• Steven (6/5): Great location, and very roomy, but comfort aspects need improvement. - Great location. Very spacious apartment. Building has nice amenities (pool, reception desk / concierge). Hosts left snacks and fruit basket for us. Good communication from hosts. Wonky bathroom: "Open" shower lets water splash all over bathroom floor - slipping hazard - need a squeegee in bathroom to clean up water. (Consider putting in a shower door or partial door panel to block spray outside of shower area). Shower shelf broken (missing glass). Odd kitchen setup: Appears to have been added to balcony. Steel louvered shutters outside & glass sliding door inside lets humidity into kitchen area which condenses onto door, resulting in wet kitchen floor. Kitchen area has table, but humidity deters one form wanting to use it. (Consider replacing shutters with solid windows to block out humidity). All bed pillows very thick and stiff - as a back sleeper, I couldn't sleep comfortably. Please provide a mix of pillows (e.g. some flatter / softer).
• Sue (7/5): Relaxing break away - central location, well equipped unit, partial updates,owners prompt response to any issues, fruit platter and drinks on arrival. The whole complex is in need of maintenance , very old and tired. So many levels of stairs , no fan in the bedroom, walk way light on outside bedroom window 24 hours a day , only cooking area is out side on the patio and has constant ants and crawling critters, ( Spray was supplied by owner),very worn old lounge suit ,needs replacing, water damaged ceiling and mould .No umbrella or shelter on upstairs outdoor area, dirty bar b q ,

• Hannah (10/5): Perfect location, easy going, quiet and comfortable. - It is in the most perfect location! The room was fantastic. While everything in Macrossan street is a 5 min walk, this location is perfect for restaurants, shopping, pubs, parks, the marina and other activities. We got married across the road at St Mary’s and had a reception at Hemmingways. This was so ideal and very comfortable!! Thank you

• Meredith (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - It was in a very convenient spot. It was close to shops, restaurants, supermarket and a short walk to Four Mile beach. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the fresh fruit platter left for us.
• Beatrice (10/5): Will go back for sure - Love the location and being able to leave and live outside in all the time. The flat is well organised for this. The view is fantastic. And walking to the shops and restaurants and marina is super practical. We were met awake by the white lights in the corridor which NEVER switched off. This is so environmentally a no no on top of it. There was also a lot of noise coming from the Friday night opan air movie theater just below the flat!

Enjoyed the private courtyard and the front area of the unit where you can eat in the open air with a wonderful view.

• Elaine (2/5): location was great but apartment was not inviting - location this was not as described. it was an apartment in a dated complex. furnished poorly. nothing matched, it was if all the furniture and picture frames were from an 80’s used secondhand shop. the roof top garden was not clean. fruit bowl had some mold. no real care given. utensils in kitchen had ash, cobwebs and bugs.

• Michelle (7/5): great location! walk to everything. - north facing, comfortable bed, private sun area and great location. bathroom door flaps in wind, electric hot plate hard to function, uncomfortable couch, no fly screens, coffee milk frother not working.
• Serena (8/5): A perfect gem in a great destination - we can't wait to return! - The apartment location offered a visual dream with fabulous views and being located on the cnr of Marcrossan St, (inside Club Tropical Resort) provided a great place to be in the heart of it. The fruit plate and beverages were well received & whilst we never met our hosts, we felt very welcomed and cared for through the well appointed room and clear instructions on who to contact upon arrival etc. Thank you Riarnne and Graeme. Without understanding the operations of Club Tropical Resort (CTR) we felt that the swimming pool area could do with a bit of an upgrade. It's not that we didn't like it but we found CTR a quirky place which kind of added to the appeal in the end! It was a bit of a shock at first but we soon warmed up to it and none of it took away how much we enjoyed our time there.

• Tammy (10/5): Comfortable spacious apartment with amazing view and great location. - Amazing shower, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen with condiments such as oil, salt & pepper etc. Many little extras provided which makes all the difference when travelling. Rooftop terrace was great for soaking up the sun in the day and cool in the evening for drinks and a BBQ. Great location, short stroll to all the action! A ceiling fan in the bedroom would have made this apartment just perfect, however there is an air conditioner.
