• Alanna (10/5): Great apartment, incredible host! - The apartment was perfect for my short stay and was nice and close to the airport. Alonso was the greatest host and went above and beyond to make my first few days in Costa Rica extra special. I will certainly be coming back!

• Oralia (4/5): - The owner was nice and the place was clean. As a solo female traveler, this wasn't a good spot to stay. There were gun shots down the street the very first night. Not a good start. The place is close to the airport, which was the only plus. Everything else was far. I left 5 days early because I was not comfortable there. If you need a 1 night stay close to the airport, then it's OK. But a long stay, this just wasn't a good choice for me.

• Valeire (10/5): Wonderful welcome to CR - I had a very late arrival and the host picked me up from the airport to this very comfortable and fully equipped apartment in quiet neighborhood. It was perfect to arrive and to take some rest. The host took really good care of me, helped me with changing money, showed me around, introduced to local food, and made sure all needs were provided, it was like arriving with family which was very appreciated as I'm a solo traveler for the first time in Costa Rica. I definately recommend when need to stay near airport to arrive or catch a flight. Excellent service! All was great for me

• Darron (10/5): Very comfortable, clean, secure, and well furnished apartment. Alonso the owner and host will conduct tours to suit you - Great well furnished unit with a fully furnished kitchen and washing machine machine for laundry. The best part of the property really wasn’t the physical property but the host, Alonso who went way beyond what would be expected. Only minor concern was the bed wiich was a little lopsided to one side.

• Robert (10/5): Alanso was very nice and took me to see a waterfall. - There was only one restaurant nearby. Nobody spoke English and I speak very little Spanish. Alonso took me to the restaurant the first night and helped me select a dinner. The apartment had a kitchen so I could do my own breakfast. That was good as the restaurant was not open for breakfast.

• Mark (10/5): Exceptional - I was picked up at the airport with a shorter stand up paddle board, lots of gear and suitcases! Perfect spot for the errands I need to run in the area before starting an extended stay. Super safe as I walked down to a GREAT little restaurant to the right just down the main road at 8 ish pm with no issues. The waitress spoke English which was a great help too. I loved the Mercado Central de Alajuela. Buy you things in this area as prices are better.
• Jakob (9/5): Nice and safe stay - The owner is super super nice and organized uber to the airport because he was on vacation. It is in a safe neighborhood and even walking alone wasn‘t scary 👍 Everything you need to cook is there and also towels were provided. Also two TVs with netflix for a calm evening are installed. The only thing i have to say is that on the pictures it looks a lot bigger. But for 2 people it is completely enough.

• Virginia (10/5): Exceptional - I love everything in Costa Rica. This Apartment is a budget friendly and the location is just less than 15min from the airport. The host gives you free pick up and drop off to the airport. I was travelling alone and Alonso made sure that I am comfortable and safe. He showed me and accompanied me to the best places you can visit in the country. I felt safe and secured, Alonso was so fun to be with. He is an ALL in 1 host, just let him know what you need and he'll provide it for you! Gracias Alonso! 🙂
• Lisa (8/5): very gracious host, clean and very affordable - Excellent host, Alonso. Willing to drive you where needed. Very affordable, clean and reasonably equipped apartment with kitchen and washing machine. walking distance to the city centre in daytime if you’re ok for a couple of good hills. small grocery store one block away. Classic Costa Rican extra extra firm bed/pillows (not good for soft northern bodies); we needed the fold out couch for our teen son and it was less than great (2 section are foam and one is hard board)- it needs a foam topper.
• Ellen (10/5): More than just a nice private apartment - Alonso was exceptionally acomodating. He has great communication skills and made sure I enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood is quiet and I felt safe there. I couldn't make sense of the bus lines but Alonso gave me rides to where I wanted to go so it was quite nice.
• Heidi (10/5): Couldn't ask for a better host - Alonzo and his family are very warm friendly and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable and convenient. Whenever I come to Costa Rica/Alajuela this will be my first choice if it is available! Alonzo was quick to make recommendations and find out information for us and also to offer to take us with his own car. The second day I asked him if he knew where I could find a few semi obscure medical items- next thing I know he's at the door taking me to the aesthetics place to get vitamin C IV and the next day drove all around to find one chinese tea and another medicine I was looking for- even got me right in to see a doc to get a script for it when we found out it was by prescription only. Then we had sushi for lunch at a place that actually knows how to do it well (my previous experiences w sushi in CR had me wary but this place was great!) All in all I highly recommend staying here. Part of the electric went out one morning but Alonzo came over right away and found out it was a problem with the meter at the pole and it was back on very quickly.

• Zara (10/5): wonderful apartment in a nice area and a wonderful property owner! this apartment is a must stay if you are visiting ala - It is very close to the main area of Alajuela, but far enough away that it is quiet and you aren’t in the middle of everything. Also very close to the Plaza mall where there are a lot of places to eat, and the city mall is just a little further down where there are plenty of shops and even more food places, was able to get last minute souvenirs for family there. the apartment is also very accessible for uber’s to get there if you want to go a little further. the property owner was incredibly wonderful as well, we mentioned we had no money to do anything when we first got there, and i got a message from him the following day inviting us out with his daughter to show us around Alajuela and see things we wouldn’t have seen had he not done that, incredibly grateful for that!!! would definitely stay there again if i went back to Alajuela. The only problem we ran into when we stayed there was that i think there was a problem with the fuse box and the lights and fridge kept turning off every so often, but the property owner came over to fix it straight away when we messaged him.
