• humphrey (1/5): Property Misrepresented - Owner needs to come and stay and return property to original condition - Property is in a good location. Note pictures attached showing master bedroom misrepresentation of TV and some of the quality issues. Master bedroom picture misrepresented property it clearly showed a TV however on arrival TV had been replaced with a seat. TV set up in lounge room was disaster, clearly this had not been checked as TV did not pick up any channels and not all were listed in the TV. Solution from owner was to use Apple TV and and sign up to the iView channels and load on her Apple TV - using Apply TV control was very complicated and figuring out iView was equally difficult. After stuffing around for more than an hour before contacting owner then another hours after contacting owner I decided to reset the channels on the TV which solved problem. The ceiling fans had not been dusted for some time (discovered following morning) and after first night I woke with severe hay fever which I believe was caused by the dust. Noting there were both live and dead flys in the property, stains on lounge chairs which we cleaned and removed on arrival at property. Other next level issues included shower head has been incorrectly installed which means it cannot move up and down so is basically fixed in position and the balcony area had not been cleaned recently meaning we did not use that area. There are numerous additional minor items we noted. Overall not acceptable and we left after the first night went to chemist to get medicine and received medical view related to cause of the hay fever being the dust from the fan. Owner was indifferent to us leaving 2 days early.

• Nicole (8/5): Neat, clean and airy apartment! - We had a great weekend stay in this stylish and clean unit that was perfect for our elderly parents. The location was ideal, with a garage for parking and within easy walking distance to a shopping centre, restaurants, and the boardwalk. Thoughtful touches like the ice cream in the freezer, drinks in the fridge, a coffee machine with pods, and beautiful smelling candles in the bathroom made our stay even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was excellent, with quick responses and seamless self-check-in. An earlier check-in time was a great bonus, allowing us to settle in as soon as we reached The Entrance. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking again!

• Steve (8/5): Comfortable stay in this lovely, homely unit, handy to everything, and containing everything needed. - Good and handy location to shops and most local café and clubs. TV would not work when it was windy, hot water ran out after 2 fast showers, kitchen flick mixer blocked and very loose, concrete steps leading up to the 2nd floor unit were a bit dangerous as the step treads were very narrow and not to modern building code regulations for safety.

The ceiling fans and free standing fans did not combat the hot unit so did not sleep well and just couldn't relax in the unit either. Needs a split system

Unit has been obviously updated recently. I would stay there again. Stairs do not suit us even though it was only the second floor. No pool or air con for the cost. In saying that all accommodation has risen in price.

• Christine (8/5): Relaxing 7 night stay. - Light and sunny aspect with a raised garden bed along the length of the balcony. Clean and modern throughout. Mostly quiet location. Coles supermarket across the road. My 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed playing with the toys and books. Couldn't get the loungeroom ceiling fan to work, so we had to use another fan from the second bedroom. Needs more dinner plates. Also, a few large metal serving bowls would have really come in handy.

Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, which would have made it more comfortable. The fridge stopped working and I had to through out my food. The PowerPoint in the second bedroom is detached from the wall and needs to be repaired asap.

• Frank (9/5): Excellent apartment a short walk from the cafes and beach at The Entrance. - The apartment was well equipped, clean and inviting, with a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the morning winter's sun. Just a short walk to The Entrance boardwalk and cafes and shops. Everything was great, although I would have appreciated a medium sized saucepan (only small and extra large were supplied) and a colander/strainer

• Sarah (10/5): Home away from home - This apartment felt like home away from home! The kitchen had plenty of bench space for cooking and cleaning, with plenty of seating in the dining/lounge room. The kids loved the toys and books that were available for them to use during our stay. We came during a cold and wet time of the year, but there were space heaters and plenty of spare blankets available. Beds were comfortable and everything was super clean and tidy! The apartment itself was close to shops, restaurants and beaches. We felt very welcome and at home here and would love to come back again for another visit!

Those little thoughts are much appreciated, from gentle scents in every room, tea and coffee, open the fridge and there was bottled water, soft drinks and milk. Even games were to be found in the bedroom cupboard, and beach towels in the linen press.. Nothing.

• Amanda (9/5): Don’t let my dislike list turn you off from staying here, hopefully from the feedback there’s some changes and we are bo - Location, cleanliness, space & facilities Hosts had great communication & were quick to reply to any questions. Undercover parking in an allocated space No air conditioner, plenty of fans. Luckily the weather wasn’t too steamy as the breeze from the windows and doors was enough for us to get a decent sleep. Also that the exterior screen doors weren’t able to be locked. I understand it’s not ground floor but we would have been more at ease knowing our valuables were a little more secured & our children would have felt more comfortable knowing the doors were locked. The parking was rather tight and our vehicle didn’t fit in the shed completely. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

• Sean (9/5): A little slice of paradise in The Entrance - Close to shops, public transport and only a short walk to the waterfront. The property also had all the little touches to make our stay seamless like cooking oil, baking paper, salt and pepper and even bottles of water and cans of coke in the fridge! The bathroom was equipped with plenty of hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. No a/c. Whilst there were portable coolers in the bedrooms as well as ceiling fans, the nights we stayed were quite warm and we struggled to get to sleep.

• Ranger (8/5): Had a wonderful stay overall, and loved the place. Only let down was the hot nights- hard to sleep - Location was excellent and the apartment was very homely and nice. Fridge wasn't cold, and without an A/C Unit the ceiling fans would have been excellent if they blew the air down instead of up to the ceiling - in winter mode. Unfortunately couldn't get them to blow the air downward so a few hot nights.

Loved that there were bottles of water for us, and the little things we use daily were readily available on hand without us having to buy. Shampoo, cond, washing liquid etc We were so busy all day and every night that we didn’t get to relax long enough in the unit.

• Prue (10/5): We'd go back in a heart beat. - The apartment is spacious enough that the three of us didn't feel cramped even when the rain poured down outside. There is comfortable seating so that we could read the books and brochures provided and plan what we would do when the sun shone. The location is terrific - we could walk to restaurants, newsagent and the supermarket. And we were not far from the coast to lake walk, which is well worth doing. Can't think of anything to dislike.

• Cynthia (9/5): A wonderful stay for a family. - Laura is an exceptional host. Not only is she very prompt to answer every question and request. She makes her visitors feel right at home. With simple gestures like refrigerated coke, 4 different kinds of teas, milk, coffee and sugar sachets so visitors won't be sharing sugar from the same jar to little bath toys for the kids, and a couple of other toys in their bedroom. Not to mention that the place was spotless. So organised, not overly crowded with stuff. The toilets were super clean and hygienic and so was the kitchen and laundry, it felt like we were the first tenants to inhibit the apartment. We did not need anything as a family with little kids that was not there from the extra blankets to fans to baby cutlery, a baby high chair and cot. The sheets smelt like they just came out of the washing. Most of the products if not at all were Australian made products.  I honestly felt at home and the kids were so happy and comfortable. We were welcomed with a book that informed us about places we could visit and beaches nearby. The place is across the road from coles and the local shops which came in very handy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a home away from home. The area felt like it was not as lively as we expected. There wasn't much happening in it except for the beach and water garden along with the Ferris wheel ride.
