Price - its overly priced.$950 per night doesn't make any sense. They should really reduce price. Doesn't matter even if it is holiday period. Simply property is not worth it. Basic stuff such as dishwasher and dryer were not there.

A particularly comfortable bed. The location with easy walks to fantastic restaurants and delightful water views made this a perfect stay. May experience traffic noise in the season but the sun shining in and water views compensated for this.

• H (10/5): Amazing holiday home. - We loved the cookies they kept for us. Unfortunately we are vegetarians and could not eat the meat and other breakfast items left for us. We loved the washing machine and detergent and hanging rack. It was very handy! All the pots and kitchen utilities were enough and clean. Linen was fresh and enough towels to go around . Loved that you even had body and hair wash. Amazing choice of keeping Netflix and prime. It was raining for a whole day so we were occupied with movies and board games from the cupboard. Nothing. Google maps shows the property as public toilet. Property owner can change this.

Once an ambulance depot, the owners’ re-interpretation of the original features made for a very interesting bathroom set up, which I loved, existing windows in kitchen and a large living/sleeping space in the back. Was a fun place to stay!

The hot water was unlimited but didn't know the gas bottle runs out. Host replaced it straight away once we messaged.

Comfortable beds and delicious charcuterie items and wine provided for us to enjoy. If you have limited mobility the shower has a deep step that you need to get up into the shower. This is not a problem for most people but it did cause us some concern.

Starting with a warm welcome and some amenities and little surprises to enjoy even more. They put so much love and effort to the wheelhouse and such a high attention to details that we loved it by the time we entered it. Spotless and so thoughtfully arranged . They made us feel like home and gave us so many nice recommendations and tips and went really the extra mile regarding every single moment throughout our stay … eg BBQ, Chat and some wine in their garden and so much more! We will definitely come back in the near future and stay longer to rent their wonderful deluxe van to deep dive more in the beautiful landscape ( they rent it for their guests as well) . We travelled with our little boy ( 2) and everything was set up for him right away( crib, high hair and even baby plates and cups ) Thank you so much Heidi and Grant .. you are 5 star deluxe !!!

• Julie (8/5): Stylish accommodation - The two living areas with two TVs. Spacious bedrooms. Comfortable, stylish furnishings. Appreciated the chocolates and provisions on arrival. The most disappointing thing was the constant flow of heavy traffic that travels along Marine Pde. It was challenging to prepare meals in the small kitchen with limited bench space and no spare shelf to stock pantry items. It would have been good to have two bedside tables and lamps in the bedrooms rather than one.

Our hosts were welcoming and were helpful with recommendations for restaurants and boat tours. The apartment was spacious, well-appointed, and sparkling clean. There was a water view, and a it was only short walk into town. We would definitely stay here again.

Booking & Arrival: Very easy to locate and operate the key box. Grant had sent detailed instructions and guidelines prior to us arriving. Furthermore, Grant was responsive in answering our queries as we planned our trip. Location: The Wheel House is located right in front of the Lake and the views are just mesmerising. The bedroom and living room windows open to the lake and offers a soothing and peaceful sight every morning. The rooms are North facing implying ample natural light in the property - ensuring a fresh start to the day! Just next to the property is a fishing Shop (Owner: Frank, who is very helpful and offers advice to all your fishing questions) Parking: The property has two spots for parking - not covered though. Proximity / neighbourhood : Woolies and Kmart are just a few hundred meters from the property. The main beach is also a 5 mins drive. There are several cafes, bistros, bars and fine dine options in the area. And don't forget the lake right opposite the property! Our Experience: Grant & Heidi are fabulous hosts. They had taken care of the arrival needs well. The fridge had necessary foods stocked up giving us the liberty of skipping the grocery run after a long drive. The property is really welcoming with personified cleanliness and the bedrooms are well decorated and cozy! The beds were really comfy too. The Kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you need for the stay. The bathroom was neat and tidy as well. Remarkably - No creepy crawlies in the property!! Finally, our kids were elated to see two televisions (Wifi enabled) with active subscriptions to popular streaming apps. Moreover there are a few board games and playing cards which kept them busy :) We loved our two days stay at the Wheel house and highly recommend them for your stay at Lakes Entrance.
