Guest Reviews
- Craig (9/5): Would happily stay again as met all our needs. - Excellent location. Excellent facilities. Excellent accommodation for our needs We had to leave lol
- DEMI ROSE (10/5): Quite historic history - The layout of the house and the history on how the house was before with the old pictures on the wall
The location of the house and how quiet it is
- Emily (7/5): Plenty of Room for Family - Great Space value for money comfortable Not clean at all bathrooms had hair etc and bedding had stains and Towels were stiff
- Mark (7/5): -
- Udi (9/5): Great place to relax. I am looking forward my next time there - This place is a amazing. great views and a peaceful quiet atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed by Anna and got a tour of our own place as well as the nice spots of the property. Breakfast was great and we felf welcomed everysingle second of our stay. Thank you
- Lisa (9/5): Well recommended - Excellent communication. The rooms were massive, the lounge, kitchen, dining was well decorated with the essentials. It was a lovely cozy feeling. We liked that there was a master room with an ensuite, and 2 single beds for the kids. Biggest bonus was having a dishwasher in the kitchen. The location is so lovely, even though it's between 2 roads, we really didn't notice the traffic sounds. We enjoyed walking along one of the quieter roads. Would recommend! The biggest annoyance for 2 of the 4 of us was the shower head which couldn't be adjusted, and hence just got sprayed in the face the whole time. The towels and the master bed linen were quite rough and was very scratchy. Might have just got unlucky with the linen provided.
- Denise (9/5): Very nice accommodation 😊 - It was very spacious and decor really nice. Lots of home touches, comfy throw rugs and ideal for couples going away for weddings.
Close drive to Hastings, local pub and restaurants, would definitely recommend 😊
- Paul (8/5): Excellent with great access to all area of the peninsula - Perfect location to HMAS Cerberus. As we were there to visit our son Nothing stood out…
- Lesley (9/5): - Cosy, country vibes The shower, waited ages for hot water
- rkiel (7/5): Huge apartment - Size, location and comfy bed Stove was antiquated abd oven dirty, but it didn't matter because we used the microwave.
- Jillian (9/5): Very helpful staff - Lovely property Nothing
- Vandana (8/5): -
- Tameika (7/5): -
- ROSLYN (9/5): - Very clean,comfortable, large apartment, well decorated,location great
Hosts very obliging. Location on the main road seemed a bit open but didn't really bother us.
- Ava (6/5): Did the job but felt unhygienic - We liked the location , it was very spacious , had all the Utensil’s you needed. Felt quite unclean, didn’t feel like it had been cleaned well. The oven was very very dirty including pans and cutlery and glasses you could see the stains. Dusty surfaces above the bed and skylight in the main bedroom . The shower head was faulty and was spraying like a mist.
- Anna (9/5): -
- Sally (6/5): A big apartment but needs updating and better cleaning - Good to have a large space and two rooms Cleanliness, very aged facilities
- Anne Daly (7/5): Great price, good location, but a little maintenance and attention to detail would improve things. - The space was massive and comfortably furnished.
It was quiet and peaceful.
The kitchen was mostly well equipped.
The setting is lovely. Not all of the rooms have air-conditioning and that made it less comfortable than we would have liked. There are fans in the bedrooms which helped.
The kitchen was not as clean as I would have liked, the bench was sticky, however everything else was clean.
The door handle on the inside of the main bedroom was hanging off - I got stuck in there while working out how to put it back in enough to open the door! After that we left it open.
We never worked out all of the light switches!
There were coffee pods (thank you) but no tea bags and the handwash and bodywash were almost empty in the bathroom, but there was lots of toilet paper. Just felt like a half done clean/preparation job had been done.

- Irina (7/5): Apart from the issues mentioned above, I liked the location. The place was spacious and clean. - spacious and clean. It was quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. There is a spider wesb in the bathrooms that needs to be cleaned.
The living room lounge needs deep steam cleaning.
Netflix was not working due to a poor internet signal.
The small bedroom window was not working properly.
- Elyshia (9/5): Very good accommodation that suits a family with lots of space. - The accommodations cleanliness, space and suitability to a family. 3 bed 2 bathrooms, large living area and kitchen. Location is good. The lights need updating or bulbs changed as they're yellow and dull.
- Howard (8/5): Enjoyable, good location, probably won't go there again - Very spacious, very clean, top-quality furnishings and accessories, good location Not much, really. Entrance steps are steep (wife and I both over 80), no windows in the main bedroom, TV controls difficult to use (trial and error, no instruction guide), no space heating
- Olivia (8/5): - Value for money. Lots of space. Lovely part of the world. Vacuum cleaner was left out. Kitchen needs some new items.
- Riena (9/5): -
- Ben (9/5): -
- Michelle (7/5): We were all very happy with our stay - we had a great week and would not hesitate it coming back! - The location was lovely. Hosts were lovely. The apartment had all we needed, was comfortable and was a really lovely stay and good value for money. More kitchen utensils and in better condition - for example there were no tongs, salad servers, the can opener didn't work. Couches had big stains, oven took a long time to work and was then very slow so not ideal to use. The outside BBQ needed a good clean before use.
- Sally (8/5): Excellent location and spacious property that would rate even higher with some attention to detail - Very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment-almost house size! Great location close to nearby relatives and despite being on a main road there was no real issue with traffic noise. Whilst I would stay again there were a few things that would have made our stay more comfortable including better lighting (very dark in all rooms), and more attention to detail in property maintenance and cleaning. All surfaces needed a wipedown as did cupboards and drawers, and we had to put many kitchen items through the dishwasher just to clean them. The cooktop needs to be replaced as all the control markings have worn off.

- Kirsty (8/5): Most enjoyable stay. - Very spacious, located near beaches and wineries, good facilities TV small and lacking instructions for use of Foxtel, DVD player

- Sheree (9/5): Wonderful accommodation with history - The apartment was spacious and we could close off the front lounge area while the kids were in bed. The furniture was nice and comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The location was great, only a short drive to lots of local attractions. The shower took a bit to heat up and it was hard to adjust the shower head to suit our heights.
- Ciavarella (8/5): - Spacious, location was great, good facilities
- Mary (7/5): Enjoyable and reasonably priced place to stay. - Location was great. Easy to get to Flinders each day. There was a musty smell on entering the room. It could do with a good airing.
The stove was difficult to operate as all markings had been removed.
- Tameeka (7/5): -
- elaine (8/5): We needed accommodation near the Naval base and this was very handy. - Everything we needed was provided, loads of blankets, everything we could possibly need in the kitchen (except sugar) and good heating. Just a few things needed replacing or repaired.
- James (10/5): -
- Rory (8/5): -
- Lauren (8/5): - Central location in middle of Mornington Peninsula. Very quiet. Huge space with big kitchen and comfortable beds. Heater was on when we arrived which was a lovely touch. Apartment took a very long time to warm up. Shower temperature was very hard to get right and would fluctuate.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Timothy (9/5): Superb - Extremely spacious and comfortable
- Chow (7/5): Good - Overall the house is roomy, plenty of room to move around. Happy that heating is provided in each room. Kitchen. Very dated esp. the stove & oven. Utensils, esp. frying pans need to be replaced.

- Joseph (9/5): Great value, comfortable and with heaps of character and charm. - Very clean and spacious, with lots of character. The kitchen was roomy and well-equipped. A bit dated in some minor aspects - a new stovetop, toaster and kettle would be appreciated. Little things like hand wash in the bathrooms and dishwashing tabs for the dishwasher would also be nice.
- Dina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (7/5): Nice spot but clean before you use utensils - It's very spacious, photos don't do this place justice, it has heaps of space in each room, even a porta cot in a wardrobe. Has everything you need for a mini escape, close to beach, winery's, and vintage shops also. Would be keen to return one day. It's a great unique spot. Would love to see the history of this place as I'm sure there is a great hidden history stories here It really needs a good airing out has a musty smell, also the cutlery was filthy, so we washed the spoons and forks ( had rice and marks on the spoons) also the bowls we intended to use. Table also required a good wipe down ( had possibly salt over it). We used the stove top ( scrubbed this clean also) and the oven I refused to wash the tray in this so tipped all the crumbs in the tray out but didn't wash as wasn't my mess to clean. The whole kitchen could do with a wash down once in a while. I didn't feel this was my responsibility as a guest who was already leaving the place cleaner than when we arrived. I was going to get a glass of water but used my own bottle as the glass was dirty.

- Darren (10/5): Lovely place, fantastic value for money, would highly recommend. - Everything, very spacious, very quiet and very clean. Excellent parking and fantastic value for money. Nothing.
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - The space was perfect
- Zuzana (10/5): Home away from home, central location, loved it ;) - Very clean, original building has great history which adds to the appeal, great thick walls provide amazing thermal insulation. lots of space, the host was very accomodating, loved our stay. central location to access lots of great beaches and restaurants. No real negatives as we loved our stay. Perhaps worth mentioning that the room with the two single beds was a little too close to the road and you could hear the cars driving past… our daughter fixed the problem by having the fan on all night for brown noise and she was happy as.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dr_igor_1971 (8/5): A comfortable stay with a great indoor setup, though the outdoor stove was disappointingly dirty - We had a wonderful stay at The Old Coolstore - Braeburn Apartment in Merricks North! The spacious open-plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, dining, and lounge made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, oven, and cooktop, perfect for preparing meals. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable. The exceptional cleanliness of the apartment made our stay even more enjoyable—it was spotless and well-maintained. The location was peaceful, though not particularly scenic, but it was conveniently close to local attractions and local wineries. The only downside was that the outdoor stove was in an absolutely inappropriate condition—extremely dirty—so we were forced to cook our steaks indoors. This was disappointing, as we had planned to enjoy an outdoor meal.
- Joanna (8/5): Girls getaway - Very spacious place located in a beautiful setting
- Cate (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation- great beds bathroom and huge living and kichen space - very well located All terrific
- Prasad (8/5): Very good -
- Maree (8/5): Lovely place to stay with lots of space. Enjoyable and highly recommended. - The apartment was lovely, modern and very spacious. Loved the high ceilings and the beds were very comfortable. Raelene is a wonderful host and very hospitable to your enquiries. The kids had fun with the puzzles and games provided and we all enjoyed our stay. Great location. The only issues were hearing the traffic at the end bedroom as it is right next to the road, and being able to get the right temperature with the shower knobs.

- Jacqui (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camille (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Spacious and quiet Would love a guest book for appliance instructions and local attractions.
- Meryl (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (7/5): Perfect solution to attend a local wedding in a beautiful area. A good size to share with friends. - Location and spaciousness. Sense of it being closed up a while & chemical smell. Traced this to jerrycan of maybe cleaning product which we put outside. This property needs flyscreens. Only one window could be left open because of mosquitoes and lack of screens. Bulbs need replacing in bathroom. Just a few details to tweak.
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tripodi (10/5): Great stay. - Communication was great. Space was fantastic.
- Alistair (9/5): Perfect for a tour of the vineyards. Very central - Great location, big and spacious There was no handsoap in the apartment. Shower soap or gel was also lacking
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Boya (9/5): Overall a very nice and enjoyable stay - -Very spacious living room and kitchen area with nice country style design.
-Very spacious bedrooms with heaters and fans.
-Parking was very easy.
-Separate full bathrooms for each bedroom.
-Easy check-in and check-out. No fuss.
-Great privacy. -There was no air-cons in the bedrooms.
-Water pressure is not ideal (but understandable as the house is in the countryside).
-Cleanliness was not very satisfactory. There was smell on one of the pillows as if it was used and not properly washed.
- Brad (8/5): Very good -
