• Klaus (1/5): - Gut gelegen, relativ neu erbautes Gebäude. Es wurde laut Booking.com ein kostenloser Shuttle vom Flughafen angeboten, der wurde uns zunächst verneint, erst auf mehrfache Nachfrage wurde dies dann arrangiert. Der Fahrer war sehr nett. Leider war unser Bad nicht gereinigt, viele lange schwarze Haare am Boden. Zudem war kaum Toilettenpapier vor Ort, auf Nachfrage (da wir 4 Nächte blieben) wurde uns dann noch eine weitere Rolle genehmigt, mit dem Hinweis, dass wir zukünftig selber kaufen müssen - das habe ich in keiner Preisklasse jemals irgendwo auf der Welt erlebt. Über den AC Schacht kamen Kakerlaken in unser Zimmer. Zudem wurden wir per Nachricht aufgefordert, die Betten abzuziehen, die Wäsche in den Wäschesack zu werfen, diesen vor die Tür zu stellen...den Müll rauszutragen etc... Absolute Frechheit, wir sind nicht in der Jugendherberge. Insgesamt somit absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Es gibt tolle Alternativen direkt in der Nähe.

• carol (3/5): Bad Stay - The location was fine. The room was large,spacious. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet & there was no one around to report it to. I left a note on the toilet, but no maid. There was a coffee pot, creamer & sugar, but no coffee. The "kitchen" downstairs had no cutlery. The laundry room was not labeled, where we needed to open all doors to find it. Then, to add insult to injury, we were expected to strip our beds & put the laundry downstairs by the door. I'm sorry, but I've stayed in many hotels across the world, I've also stayed in 2 hotels in Belize before going to Memes, & was never told to strip my beds. I don't think I expect a lot. I want my money's worth, & to be treated with respect. I am a paying guest in your establishment. Treat me as such. Then, there is that lack of communication to resolve concerns. The building is beautiful, but inside, it looks like something went wrong with the plan.

• Gilbert (3/5): Considering the price I paid, the condition of the room did not match the cost at all. Far too expensive for the quality - I was very disappointed spending the night at this place. For starters, the room was not properly cleaned. One of the covers had a strong sweat odor as if it had not been changed after the previous guest. Totally unacceptable a d made the stay uncomfortable from the start. Cleanliness is basic and unfortunately MeMe’s did not that standard.

• Brandon (1/5): Uncomfortable and extremely dirty. - The location, the bed was comfortable, easy to access the property. Greta TV and AC. The property was extremely dirty. When I walked in, the common area floors and stairs were filthy. When I got to my room, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned at all and there was feces on it, and I had to clean it myself just to use it. The bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned before my arrival, and it was obvious the rest of the room hadn’t been either. The shower had hair and dirt all over it. The towels were dirty too, with visible dirt marks on all of them. Even the hotel floors throughout the property were dirty and dusty. When I told the property manager, they did send someone right away to clean, which I appreciated. He mentioned that someone had checked out earlier that day. Check‑out is at 11 a.m., and I arrived a little after 3 p.m., so there was plenty of time to prepare the room. I also noticed seeds beside the bed when I first walked in, which they later cleaned up. There was dust all over the counters, and under the bed there were crumbs, dirt, and dead bugs. It left me feeling disgusted. You can tell the room hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The common areas were the same—very dusty and dirty. I stayed at a different hotel in the area previously, an economy property, and it was immaculate compared to this place and one‑third of the price. I even called the place I stayed before to see if they had any rooms available, but they didn’t, which is the only reason I ended up here. I was asked to strip the sheets before I checked out, and when I pulled them off, there was dirt and dead bugs underneath. Twice during my stay, staff entered my room without asking. I stay in a lot of hotels for both work and vacation, and this one was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review. The property is newer and has so much potential. I just wish they would clean it daily especially for the price.

• Miguel (10/5): I booked MeMe's place for R&R and it met my expectations. The place was clean and quiet. - We prepared our own breakfast. The location is walking distance to the sea. The internet service in the room was limited.

• Kristie (10/5): Exceptional - Easily the nicest place we stayed in during our time in Belize, the pictures don’t do it justice! The place is brand new, completely modern, very well located right on the beach, and very safe. They have cameras all over the property which they can talk to you through, and a very nice man called Julian who was on site for anything we needed help with! Highly recommend!! Also, you MUST try the ribs from SmoQiz, easily the best ribs I’ve ever had!! The cleaning fee was USD $100+ which seems outrageous for Belize, considering how cheap everything else is. Seems like they wanted to keep the price down in the add but to recoup the money in the cleaning fee which was frustrating. It was still worth the price but would be better to have that shown up front and not just pop up when you go to check out.

I have never found a place where the owner thought of every tiny detail. I fell in absolute love with this home. Best part of our trip here. We had a check-in issue, and her friend and hotel owner Richard from Serenade Hotel jumped in and assisted us as if we were his guests. I loved staying at this rental, and her community ties were reflected in her colleague from Serenade Hotel on the sidewalk who quickly assisted us. With everything he was an angel to us. I would like a local number posted on the front door for check in problems.
