The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed. There were extra pillows and blankets if needed. The bathroom was excellent, and the shower pressure was good. I loved the deep bath which was lovely after a long hike to the Partnachklamm Gorge. The kitchen was excellent and had a dishwasher which was great at the end of the day. The owners are very friendly and promptly met us knowing we were coming from the train station to take us to the apartment. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The only small issue we had was that I was not aware that I would have to pay in cash for the apartment. Booking.com told me I would be charged for half the payment a fortnight before arriving and so was not expecting to have cash. Luckily the owner was organised and made me aware several days before my arrival as I would have struggled to pay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with exchanging of money. It would have been helpful to know this and for the information to be clear when making the booking.

• Tim (10/5): Very central, comfortable & spacious centrally located flat. - Very comfortable flat right by the main railway station and a 5 minute walk to Garmisch or ten minutes to Partenkirchen. The view from the shower window of the mountains and river was great. all good.

This rental is an apartment sublet in an apartment building. It is unmarked and hard to find on the maps app. The young man who met us to give let us in didn't seem to use the Booking chat to see our updates on our arrival time. We arrived at what we hoped was the correct place, around 8 PM, it was dark. I called the phone number to say we had arrived. The person who answered said he'd be there in ten minutes, which he did, on a bicycle. He directed us to park around the back of the building, which wasn't lit, originally giving us the incorrect spot number, which didn't help our uneasiness of feeling secure. I checked the app on the morning of the second day, then we left for a fun day of sightseeing. We returned to the apartment early evening. Several minutes later, we heard someone repeatedly trying to open the door with the key, even though the door was clearly bolted. This went on for a bit and was unnerving: we thought someone was trying to break in. Then we asked the person through the door what was happening, and it was the man who had checked us in, saying that we were supposed to have checked out earlier in the day. We let him in. He was very agitated and it took a bit to figure out what was happening. We discovered that I had made a mistake, thinking I had booked for three days instead of two. We asked if we could stay the night (and it was already evening). and the man said we could and we paid him cash for the third night. I felt horrible about the mistake and sent two apology messages through the Booking app, and never received a reply. While on the app, I saw that he had sent the following message at 12:09 PM (copy and pasted): "Check out time ist 11 a.m., we have to clean our Apartment for the next guest. Pleased Check Out as Sohn as possible!!" He had my phone number from when I called him to check in: I would have addressed things immediately if I'd known of my mistake.
• Thanvaruj (10/5): Great value of experience - Stunning view of river and mountain, near train station. The room is huge and look like home. No hair dryer but I am very impressed.
