• Petra (8/5): Skifahren bis zum abwinken und gutes Essen auf der Piste oder in den umliegenden Restaurants. - Der Skibus hält direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft. Der Inhaber hat sehr gute Tipps zu Restaurants, Skigebieten etc. gegeben. Es gab einen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Die Skier und Skischuhe sind ebenerdig abzustellen. Alles sehr durchdacht. Für uns war alles perfekt. Da wir zum Skifahren dort waren und keinen Wellnessbereich brauchen hat uns nichts gefehlt.

Utomordentligt bra information om allt i St Anton direkt när vi kom, så användbar och förenklade vistelsen, och mycket goda råd för valet av skidbackar. Fantastiskt god frukost med bland annat varmt bröd, hur många koppar gott färskmalet kaffe som helst, rikligt med många goda varierade pålägg. Möjligt köpa en pizza och drycker på aftonen. Praktiskt pjäx- och skidrum. Bussen till Nasserein kabinbana (mindre än 10 min) alldeles utanför hotellet. Jätteenkelt komma hem med 2'ans buss från andra änden av St Anton (20 min). Fint rymligt rum, liksom hall och badrum. Vi hade balkong i västerläge. Så fin personlig service och värden körde oss med skidor och bagage till järnvägsstationen när det tyvärr var dags att åka hemåt igen. Vi tyckte om allt.

The place has a great location in a quiet neighborhood within an easy walk or a very short drive by bus (the bus is complimentary) to the nearest ski-lift and city center. There is always a place to park your car and store your skis and boots. The breakfast is a great start for the day when the mountains are calling you again and again. Would rate 10 out of 10 for everything!

Unexpected to us, daily housekeeping service is included, and the attention to detail is equivalent to a 5star hotel. Hotel has a heated boot room, ski room and is a 5 minute complimentary ski bus ride to the nearest lift. St Anton centre is a 20 minute walk or 7-10 minute bus ride. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett, super offen und freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, mit alles was einem Abwechselungsreiche Frühstück zugehört... sogar selbst gebackenen Kuchen und frische Croissants und frische Früchte jeden morgen. Das Zimmer war sehr gross und mit schönem Blick. Alles war sehr sauber und jeden Tag fertig gemacht. Alles hat gepasst. Wir können es ganz sicher empfehlen und werden wieder kommen. Wir sind gewöhnt regelmässig Sauna zu machen und das hat uns gefehlt. Sonst war alles super toll.

Owners are exceptionally hospitable and helpful. Breakfast buffet offers everything you need. Excellent coffee! Ski shoes heaters are actually warm which is not part of my usual experience :-). I'd suggest down bedding instead of wool I believe.

Zu Fuss ins Zentrum ist auch problemlos (10 - 15 Min.). Die Gastgeber sind sehr nette Leute, hilfsbereit und geben viele Infos, was man unternehmen kann. Das Frühstückbuffet war ausgezeichnet, das Zimmer sehr gemütlich und recht gross.

Good location, with the ski-bus stop literaly outside of the driveway. The owner and the staff were incredible, helpful and always on top of everything we needed. The room was a good size, with great view. Very clean and always attended to. The bathroom was very clean and good size. This was a perfect place for our ski holiday in St Anton. We will visit again. There was no sauna, but it doesn't matter that much.

• Robert (10/5): Perfect location, excellent accommodations and wonderful host - We were a family of four traveling from the US, and we had the best time staying at Gafluna! Eric and his family thought of every little detail to help us make the most of our stay and to be the most comfortable - from the delicious breakfast in the morning to the ski locker and boot heater. It was the perfect location, with the ski bus right outside the door of the hotel and easy access to St. Anton and all that Arlberg has to offer. Eric provided us with recommendations for the best parts of the mountain to ski depending on the weather (after searching the webcams himself) and the best (and reasonably priced) local restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Eric even dropped our luggage off for us at the train station on our last day. Book at Gafluna and the rest of your stay will be taken care of!

To the nearest grocery store 15 min, to the livelier center 20 min, and to the nearest ski lift 10 min walk. There is a ski room and a room with shoe dryer. There is a kettle and mini fridge in the room. The bathroom floor is heated. Despite the location of the room in the parterre there was a great view of the mountains and stars. There's fruit at breakfast. Very friendly and sociable hotel owner. It is possible to order pizza to the room. There is no tea itself in the room. There is no sauna in the hotel. Breakfast has a very poor variety: only cold snacks, you can make a sandwich, but no hot dishes. Overpriced.

• John (10/5): Excellent accomodation On returning I would stay there in a heart beat. - Gafluna San Anton Austria Room: The room was very clean and well kept. The house keeping was thorough and non invasive. The room had enough outlets in well positioned areas including a wall desk for good laptop support. The room had good lighting and gorgeous views of the Alps slopes. The bathroom was well lit and very clean Staff: The staff was very friendly and resourceful in terms of local transport. They had excellent tips on best slopes for the current conditions and seasons. They had excellent rapport and did not mind answering questions that they must get over and over. Video in the breakfast area provided current information for the huge Arlberg ski area. Breakfast: The food provided for breakfast was delicious. The breads and pastries fresh and baked on site. Coffees, and juices were excellent. I wish I had the pizza they provided earlier in the trip. The pricing was excellent and beat the quality of fast service places down the street closer to the ski area. I am a ski addict and it provided me with the neccessary nourishment before lunch in a very timely efficient manner.
• Lisa (10/5): Amazing stay at Gafluna! - We had a wonderful stay at Gafluna for 2 weeks of skiing in the St Anton area. The accommodation was SPOTLESS and the hosts (Erik and his wife/son) were wonderful to us, made us feel so welcome, and were so knowledgeable about the area and activities available (especially when skiing wasn't on the agenda). They offer a small continental breakfast every morning and open in the evening for drinks and pizza if you do not wish to venture into town. The main town of St. Anton is a short walking distance or bus ride from St Jakob. There is a free daily bus service that stops right outside the hotel for ease of getting to the ski lifts in the morning or heading into town for dinner. There are many local restaurant options in St. Anton, however as the season gets busier we would recommend making reservations if you want to ensure a spot. Would not hesitate to visit Gafluna again! Thank you for the memorable trip.

Erik is a fountain of knowledge regarding the area and transport and sightseeing. The room was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in many hotels and 5 star Safari lodges. Unbelievable attention to detail. A great continental breakfast and dinner pizza menu. St. Anton is walking or bus distance from St Jakob. We walked a few times. The free daily bus service is a bonus. There are many local restaurant options in St. Anton. For us being hoteliers and hotel trainers, we could not find any faults. Thank you, Erik, Andrea, and Bjorn, for a great stay at Gafluna. There was nothing not to like.

With comparision to options, it was a good value for money. The lack of Spa/sauna. We skied at the day we did check out. There was no place to change or take a shower at the end of the ski day. The Shower stream was not sufficient. The location of the hotel is at st Jakob while all the St Anton facilities (bars, restaurants etc) is not close and you need the bus shuttle. The busses are free and every 15 m until 1900. After 1900 the busses are with charge and on 1 hour routine. One day we came at 1915 to the bus station after skiing and recreation. We had to take a TAXI to the hotel.

The hotel and rooms are immaculate. Breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the mountains. After a long day skiing, it was great having the option to either stay in town (a short walk or bus ride away) or head back to the hotel relaxing at the bar with a beer and pizza. There is a boot room with heaters and also ski room to store your kit. We would take the free buss which is literally right outside of the hotel every morning for the short ride into town to the lifts. With invaluable local knowledge and maps Eric made sure we were well equipped for an action packed stay. Thank you Eric and Andrea, everything was just perfect and we hope to visit again soon.
• Wout (10/5): Comfortable rooms and friendly staff - The staff was super friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. Good beds and a great shower, all you need after a long ski day. The hotel manager made our trip. He was very helpful, very kind, and generous. Breakfast was great. The bus leaves every 15 minutes, right in front of the hotel, and you are 5 minutes away from the ski lifts. Nothing. Will return when going to St. Ankton.
