Guest Reviews
- Derryn (10/5): Beautiful and unique property - Very cool and unique property, the room had everything you could need, a very well stocked kitchenette with heaps of appliances and cutlery etc, there’s sheep and a miniature pony and peacocks, beautiful location
- Summers (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. We live 90 minutes away, but it was so nice to getaway! - Great location - equidistant from Toodyay and Northam, where we spent most of our time. Very peaceful / quiet, despite the amazing light show / lightning / thunder storm on our first night - spectacular! Gald it all happened at night! We loved the animals on the site - they provided a sense of calmness. And the Christmas Shop in Toodyay was totally unexpected! The outside toilet and bathroom (both shared facilities) were not ideal, but we did know about this before hand, and as it happened, I don't think anyone else used them whilst we were there, so it was in no way an inconvenience. It felt like an en-suite, haha! The shower was amazing by the way!
- Georg (10/5): A wonderful stay on all counts. - Fantastic room in fabulous surroundings and a very warm welcome. My room (Talbot) was very well equipped for my own cooking and the bed was particularly comfortable.
- Bernadette (10/5): - Beautiful quiet location with friendly, caring staff. Everything you need for a perfect getaway.
Jeni is a beautiful soul, and we enjoyed her talks . Nothing it was perfect

- Amelia (9/5): Superb -
- Griffiths (10/5): Exceptional - Idyllic place to stay, very peaceful and serene, beautiful surroundings and lovely owners.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the rat race and relax.

- Desiree (8/5): Charming stay near Northam. - Fairly quiet area, microwave and toaster included in kitchenette very useful. Good communication with staff. While shower is a shared shower with other rooms in the converted coach house, the water was hot and had good pressure. The motel we stayed in the night after sure could not live up to this place! Curtains are not blackout curtains, so bring an eye mask if you don’t like being woken early morning sun.
- Sally (6/5): Pleasant - Room pretty, bed really comfortable Lack of insulation from neighbour
sheer curtains, light from nightlight outside and sun rise
- Roslyn (7/5): Good -
- David (10/5): Very relaxing and peaceful. - Beautiful, relaxing location with a nice warm and cosy room. Very comfortable mattress, and with and nice reverse cycle heater and electric blanket, slept really well on the cold nights.
Very nice to wake up and check out the garden and farm on the misty mornings.
Met the owners, and they are really lovely, gave us some history on the place which was very interesting. They are clearly very dedicated to making this an even nicer place to stay.
It is already a beautiful place with the historic buildings, and the nicely kept garden.
I would definitely stay here again, and very much recommend it.
- Phil (9/5): Superb - So charming and comfortable, feels like being in Europe.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
A gem of a place
- Phil (9/5): Superb - What a gem. So much character and comfort.
Loved it so much booked the following weekend.
- Jennifer (10/5): Quiet relaxing own space - Like how it is old style great to walk around and have a look Garden wasn’t in great shape
- Griffiths (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, beautiful location, tranquil surroundings, a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Jeni is great and very knowledgeable about the area.
Will definitely be back soon 😊.
- Griffiths (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, everything we needed was there. The pool and spa were great, have already booked to go back.
- Gregory (9/5): Charming historical accommodation. - Booked because of balloon trip, stayed 2 nights. Lovely farm style. Comfy bed. Outdoor toilet & shower is excellent. Situated in very old Irish farm. Pig, sheep, and tiny horse, plus peacocks and alarm geese with gosling. The country gardens were amazing...so many classical flowers and plants. Beautiful old stone buildings. Room a bit small but still ok.
- Liisa (9/5): Superb - Nice little room, compact but had everything we needed. Away from "everything", yet only a short drive to both Northam and Toodyay. We really liked the cook-your-own breakfast, and the animals are super cute. Unfortunately the people staying in the next room came back very late and woke us up, then kept on talking & slamming their door. The walls don't isolate noise very well.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): I love this place, and will be back. - I love the peace and quiet. Although tucked away, there is a short trip to town for dinner.
I love cooking my breakfast on the barbecue. I had to crawl under the bed to jiggle the power cords to get a bedside lamp working. I couldn’t get them both to work.
- Ruth (7/5): Peaceful - Quaint, peaceful stay The makings for breakfast was included as per booking, however they were only supplied for the first morning and not for the next 2 mornings!
- Thelma (10/5): GREAT STAY REMINDED US OF THE YORKSHIRE DALES IN THE U.K. - BREAKFAST WAS FUN AND LOCAL PRODUCED WAS EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION AND THE VARITY OF ANIMALS ESPECIALLY MISTER PIG/ MAYBE MRS.PIG. WERE GRAND TO WATCH.
LOCAL HISTORY WAS INTERESTING READING, IN THE LOCAL FREE PAPER.
WE ADMIRED THE DIFFERENT FRUIT TREES, AND THE SWIMMING POOL.
- Karen (10/5): Nice clean and tidy, host were very welcoming and friendly, definitely suited our needs - Breakfast was great Nothing
- Daly (9/5): Beautiful - I loved the garden the animals the history the main house the barn dream house amazing Poor phone reception
- Janet (9/5): A quiet and comfortable stay not far from Northam. - a quiet picturesque stay probably intermittent phone coverage as I’d forgotten to download opening up instructions
- Kay (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (10/5): I would definitely book again - Pleasant place to stay with pleasant hosts
- Victoria (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional - Service was great
- Daryl (9/5): Peaceful, tranquil and soothing - A step back in time but had some lovely appointments. The breakup was lovely and the stroll around the property was soothing.

I’ll be back Cooking facilities and maybe wifi. I say wifi only because I was on call while staying there and the phone service was poor
