Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (10/5): Cute -
- Josie (9/5): Very pleasant, would stay again if visiting the area - Friendly hosts. Very clean and comfortable. Small oven as well as microwave. Nice hot shower. Peaceful location. I liked the rocking chair (as a neurodivergent, it was comforting).
As a cat lover, the very friendly ginger cat Simon was also an added bonus. Good breakfast supplied and plenty of fresh milk.
Great value for money. Nothing I didn’t like
- Andrew (8/5): - Very clean, no fuss accommodation.
- robinson (10/5): Loved the stay highly recommend - How quiet it was and the great area Nothing at all
- Liang (10/5): -
- Hannah (8/5): - Bed was comfortable, heater worked amazing, too good almost. Weird noises during the night from the cabin moving etc, nothing that can be helped though
- karin (7/5): - Peaceful but close enough to Jamestown. More pillows please.
- Sally (8/5): It was great - Great location and peaceful
- Michael (10/5): A perfect room, clean and with everything I need. - Breakfast was more than enough and the bread is tasty. The location is only 10 minutes from where I am working. N/A. Everything I need is in the room. I can just take a shower and just relax in the room after working a long day in the sun.
- Gottsmann (9/5): - Everything worked and very clean. Nice little verandah to soak up the sun. Bed was comfy. No real washing up facility. A small plastic bowl would do the trick.
- Tuija (10/5): -
- elisabeth (9/5): Provide a frying pan and a saucepan would help make the facility much better. - Peaceful location. Very clean. Lovely hosts.
Great view from the hill walk. The cook top/ oven took up a lot of space on the table but no cooking utensils so it could be used.
- THIELE (8/5): Perfect for our short stay to relax. More excitement is only a few kms away in Jamestown. - We enjoyed our stay at Belalie Wines as we were just looking for some chill time. The hosts were very friendly and relaxed. The grounds were enjoyable and it was pleasant to be able to walk around the property and see all the fruit trees and nature. We had everything we needed to make our own meals, and appreciated the continental breakfast included. All our requirements were met. Possibly a bit more info before arrival as to how to access our cabin would have been helpful - however the owner was available on our arrival so she advised us.

- Bill (7/5): Could be nice on a warm summers day. - If going to this property it would be best to arrive in Daylight. The last part is on gravel roads.
Very pretty in the morning as I was leaving.
Good Breakfeast materials. Cereal as well as bread to make toast. Tea. Coffee. If going to this property it would be best to arrive in Daylight. The last part was on gravel roads. I'm sure it would be very beautiful on a warm summers day but it was freezing on the night I got there, Late at night. My watch said 7 degrees but it felt like minus 7. One heater only and it was up high as it is the Air Con unit so the floor area never got warm. Cold feet. The main door leaked air like a sieve. The host lady came over to see if I was alright and to mention that I should give the front door a good push to close it as they have just added insulation material to the lock side but it really needs the rest of the door covering as well.
The host lady was very pleasant even if a little short on English.
As the heater takes ages to warm up the cold air was blasting in cooling the room off. Even two hours later it was still cold in the lower half of the room. I fed wet towels in the cracks in the door and some plasters up one side to try to keep the cold air out. Only somewhat effective so I left the heater on all night despite the noise.
All hard floor with no carpets down. Freezing to step out of bed to go to the bathroom in the night or to get dressed in the morning. Matts on either side of the bed would be nice.
Its 10 minutes out of town.
- Michelle (7/5): Priced well- clean & comfortable but very basic - good for a one night stopover. - Very clean, comfy bed & nice linen. Dog friendly outside the unit. Breakfast very basic.
- Helen (8/5): A top spot for overnight stay - Our host could not have been more welcoming. Even enjoyed some produce from the garden. It was a great place to stay to get out of the strong winds. Close to Jamestown was great too. Pillows were rather hard but luckily we had our own with us.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Monty98 (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming staff, very clean accommodation including toilets, comfortable bed and surprisingly there were some breakfast items in the room.
I have stayed at hundreds of places around the world for personal and business, still I am rating this place very high due to the remote town location and the price of the accommodation.
The place is only 7 mins drive to a fast EV charger if you are drive one.
I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay there next time with family. Big bugs outside the room due to porch light but that is expected in a farm area. Try to turn off the light before going inside the room if you are checking in late in the evening.
- Pawley (9/5): Very relaxing and fantastic value - Big fridge and microwave comfortable, quiet. Starlings has tiny TV however I don’t use TV not connected to internet. Free WiFi was good.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (6/5): We enjoyed being out in the country! -
- Bronwyn (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): Good - Good hot shower. Low tariff. I bought a bottle of Shiraz from the owner. Wi-fi unreliable. No bedside reading lamp.
- Amanda (7/5): Very pleasant - Lovely location and very friendly owner.
