- Eleysa (10/5): Serenity and Sunshine. - We loved the serenity!! Surrounded with picturesque views from every angle your home was so relaxing. A joy to wake up and sit with a coffee on the veranda while you listen to the Magpies warbling in the trees. Hand feeding your Alpacas, Karla, Katie, Kurt and Kathleen the sheep was fun, Kurtis the goat lives for the feed bucket lol, he makes sure he's front and centre not missing out on the action.
Great to see all your happy animals grazing in the paddocks and going about their day. Thank you for the beautiful Eggs & Bacon with fresh OJ it was the perfect breakfast to enjoy on the veranda at your Farm stay!! Much appreciated, Eleysa and Warren.

- Foroozanfar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Charming, cozy, and family friendly - Stunning and relaxing property, the kids loved the animals and getting to feed them, and the beds were the most comfortable we have slept on at a holiday home! The addition of the games to play was a thoughtful touch, and the kitchen had everything you need and more. We saw Ken twice during our stay doing farm work, and he was very lovely to chat to, but our privacy wasn’t invaded at all.
The house, while isn’t large, feels spacious, and has little pockets here and there to escape to and not feel crowded with our group of 6.
The views are stunning! There’s nothing we didn’t like about this property.

- Lee (10/5): I’ve already booked for next year. Thanks for a great stay. - Fabulous farmhouse on a gorgeous property. Sweeping views and paddocks filled with dormer sheep. So much fun to feed the alpacas and the goat in the home paddock. Although the weather was cold, the wood fire kept us toasty. It was an easy run into Bendigo when we needed, although we were very happy to stay stay at home and enjoy the facilities. Generous breakfast provided, with fresh eggs from the hens in the coop. The accommodation was perfect for our family. The beds were comfy and warm. We made full use of the kitchen facilities and there was everything we could’ve needed in the well stocked cupboards. All was good
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location in axedale, home was easy to find and offered all we needed to relax and unwind. The kids loved checking out and feeding all the animals and staying on a farm. So glad we chose here over anything in bendigo, could easily have stayed longer. Nice touches to our stay included the firewood, games for the kids outside, seats by the dam, the fresh bread and breakfast supplies provided at no charge and the option of wine available for purchase. Beds were really comfy!
- Lynley (9/5): Superb - Lovely location, a great place to have a break from the city. Very comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Cameron (10/5): Good location for day trips to surrounding areas. Cozy and comfortable with wood fire. - Quiet, peaceful location. Nothing not to like.
- Jenny (7/5): It was pleasant, well catered and relaxing. Breakfast supplies were lovely. - The view of the farm from the house was beautiful. There were lovely sheep with their lambs grazing & some really cute pet animals in the paddock next to the house. The house was very cold on arrival & took quite a while to get warm. There were no electric blankets on the beds so it took me ages to get warm enough to sleep.
The second night was better as we were aware of getting the house warm early. It was an exceptionally cold weekend, so this would not always be a problem.
- Mandy (10/5): Fantastic - There was so much to like the view the close contact with the animals. The host Ken is such a lovely informative gentleman. Leaving to go home
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burt (9/5): Superb -
- Britt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): A Little Slice of Paradise. - The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped with cooking utensils, TV, games, and reading material. The hosts also provided delicious breakfast ingredients. The views from the property were spectacular, and being able to feed the animals was a fun experience. My son and I had a wonderful and relaxing time. I have nothing negative to say about my experience.
- Danni (8/5): Great weekend, house was old and creaky but adds to the charm, great sunrise from bedroom - Delicious bread, bacon and eggs supplied. The views were amazing and the kids loved the animals. I didn’t like that we were supplied jam and butters that were already opened and used. There was spiders all throughout the house and lots of spider webs everywhere, and mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. The driveway was pretty rough, lucky we had a 4wd but my dads Camry struggled with all the pot holes.
- Brett (9/5): Superb -
- Tvin (10/5): Excellent Farm - The property has everything you could possibly need, specially the kitchen.
We loved our stay at the farm. This is an amazing farm, very relaxing and quiet area.
Beautiful scenery. We loved feeding the animals. Thank you so much. nothing

- Caroline (10/5): A peaceful location on a lovely farm and vineyard. - We absolutely loved our stay at the farm. The property has such lovely views, and it was great to sit out on the balcony and watch the animals. There was plenty of wood for the fire which made it so nice and cosy. The property was spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. It was also nice to go for a big walk around the farm, and down to where the vines are growing. A very relaxing stay.
- Kristen (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing and cannot wait to stay again. - Beautiful scenery, lovely house with everything we could possibly need.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - A lovely, clean house. The hosts had provided bacon and eggs in the fridge for us, along with bread and milk etc. We didn't see the hosts at all but they left a welcoming note. There was nothing I didn't like about this property.
- Friederika (9/5): Gorgeous Gilgraves - Gorgeous views; very comfortable and well-equipped house; responsive hosts; and generous breakfast eats and wine. Alpaca and goats were lovely. Lack of WiFi, but understand that it's a farm so no issue really. Plenty of books and games to digitally detox.
- Katrina (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - The property was so clean and so comfortable , facilities were beautiful and owners left fridge full for breakfast and wood in fire - was such a wonderful place to stay and get away from the city , we both had the best time The goats didn’t visit enough haha
- Catherine (10/5): A wonderful property, we will definitely be back!! - A very unique property where you can relax and recharge your batteries. Very comfortable bedding, fluffy towels and very warm with multiple heaters around the house in addition to the open fire. The kids loved exploring the property and feeding the animals. Nothing :)
A dvd player would have been good if we were staying longer to relax at night but didn't spoil our stay.
- Renee (10/5): Wonderful relaxing, fun weekend at GilGraves. - The view from the house was gorgeous, the provided breakfast was delicious, the linen and beds were so comfy and the livestock were funny and naughty!
The level verandah and wide doorways in the house meant we were able to navigate x2 wheelchairs on the property with ease. The young adults we were supporting loved their stay and found the Alpacas very funny… especially when one spat on me!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful vineyard with us. That the weekend ended too quickly!
- John-mark (10/5): A lovely weekend away for the family. - Wonderful and peaceful location. The house was fully equipped and very very comfortable. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Very clean and spacious - plenty to do for our family of five. Nothing really - it was very pleasant.
- William (9/5): We were looking for a stay with a difference and that is what we were very happy to get. - The breakfast was great. The rough road going in, but it was only for a short stretch.
- Ming (8/5): Very good -
- Kenneth (10/5): 3 Alpacas, 2 Goats, Sheep and some yummy wine! - Ken and Kaye provided a little slice of heaven with faulous views, fun animals, great outdoor games if you are staying in! Sunset and sunrise from the deck was beautifully relaxing.
Thanks for a wonderful stay.
- Rakhi (10/5): Take your kids there and thank me later! Highly recommended! - The overall experience was exceptional for us as a young family. The kids enjoyed feeding the animals, collecting eggs, checkup of sheep and the farm in general. Ken and Kaye have been very lovely hosts and were kind to show us how they managed animals and how they make their beautiful, low intervention wines. Love the small little nooks at the property where you can sit and relax with beautiful breeze and a glass of wine! Haven't figured that out yet!
- Anna (10/5): Relaxing, spacious and surprising! Animals to play with and a fab herb garden. - The cottage was a delight! The views were amazing and we had bonus Alpacas and goats to feed.
The breakfast items left for us were outstanding, and the owners of the property lovely.
There was also a fabulous herb garden which can be used - and of course we did as we did all our own cooking.
I was tempted not to write this - just so I could keep this wonderful place to myself! Everything was lovely. The cottage was outfitted in true country style. Some people might think this is a bit old fashioned, but I thought it was perfect for the venue!
- Ravneet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (10/5): Relaxed and revitalised - The breakfast provided was excellent
- Debra (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
