Guest Reviews
- Amy (10/5): The perfect place to escape to and relax in nature - It is set in such a gorgeous, quiet location and the view out to the pond and paddocks is so serene. Being able to feed the alpacas was such an added treat!
It was so lovely to have the fire going on a cool evening and the provided breakfast in the morning was amazing! Nothing, it was amazing and we will definitely be returning!
- Steven (10/5): For the perfect country retreat in a fabulous cottage and environment, we could not have found better. Great hosts and w - The cottage was so comfortable, spacious and with fabulous views over the surroundings. Perfect for self-catering as Nell & Ray have thought of everything. There were even wellies provided for walking across the paddocks to feed the alpacas. That we couldn’t stay longer!! 😉
- hannah (8/5): - We had everything we needed for our stay in Yarra valley: great views, modern comforts and a nice bed. Mojo was also a very cute alpaca we got to meet. The property sorely needs a water filter, or at least a jug that filters water. Because it relies on rainwater, the water was brown due to the weather and as the host will tell you, it is “saft” to drink. Also, at AU$200 a night, it’s not exactly hospitable to expect your guests to do chores like sweeping up the floors at the end of the stay. It didn’t help that the vacuum cleaner provided wasn’t working at all.
- Nicola (10/5): -

- Stephen (10/5): Look no further. This property and setting is excellent. - Superb fully equipped single-level large detached house of high quality on a beautiful property with lovely view of the alpacas in their fields. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Ray and Nell were welcoming supplying breakfast foodstuffs and showed how to adjust aircon and water temperatures controls. Almost impossible to find a better B&B. Nothing.

The internal layout of the cottage is ten out of ten. Had a BQ on balcony to have our meals. The property had no faults just great.

Spotlessly clean.

- Weaich (9/5): A beautiful spot for a restful retreat - We had such a wonderful time at Raynella! Our hosts had thought of little touches to make our stay extra comfortable and we loved the views from the cottage. The cottage also felt very well looked after and was more beautiful in real life than we expected. Getting to meet and feed the alpacas was also a special experience. Would highly recommend!

- Aye (8/5): We had a peaceful weekend away at the farm house. Thank you Nell for your hospitality. We hope to come back again. - The views from the window, from the verandah, the sunset, the fields, not to mention the beautiful alpacas, all very relaxing. Some water discolouration after the storm as they are using the rain water but we are fine as the rest compensated for that.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Stayed here for a wedding, lovely surroundings and a very comfortable home with everything you need. Fresh homemade brea - Just a little slice of paradise

- Muhammad (9/5): Superb - Loved the farm stay location, the Alpacas and the house. It was surreal and the host was nice. The NBN/internet could be improved, the mattress on the sofa bed can be improved.
- Gerrard (9/5): Perfect place to relax and unwind - Location, views from all the cottage windows, fireplace, breakfast food and kitchen equipment made for a very enjoyable and comfortable country getaway. Wifi internet signal strength was weak, in area where mobile signal from Optus is also only 1-bar. However, rain and strong wind could have been the cause.
- Yee (10/5): Great experience with alpacas as the highlight - Friendly hosts. Very Clean. Looks better than pics. Fluffy bed. Had great fun feeding the alpacas and great experience getting the wood fireplace going. Nothing
- Natasha (9/5): Superb -
- Paramvir (10/5): Loveable stay. - I like every part of the stay. Awesome stay, nice location, cozy, clean, nice View, Alpaca etc. We enjoyed a lot. Nothing to say.
- Bianca (10/5): I would highly recommend and look forward to coming back - Excellent and beautiful stay. The cottage was very clean and hygienic (I’m fussy, so take my word). The gardens and property is well maintained. The bathroom is updated and has soaps, shampoo ect. The wood fire heater works and is a huge bonus! Bring a bag of wood as only 3 pieces are provided. They provide a huge selection of novels and board games in the room, Netflix, fast wifi and even a sound system. The views from the cottage are serene. I loved everything
- Bianca (10/5): Peaceful & cosy retreat - Beautiful, peaceful location. It was lovely to wake up to a view of the alpacas in their paddocks. The cottage has everything you could need and more. Very comfortable! The roads in are dark at night, so best to get everything you need and return before sundown.
- Adrian (9/5): The perfect country getaway to reconnect with your partner in a warm cottage with a picturesque view all within short dr - Everything. Peaceful. Beautiful. Well maintained. Comfortable. The alpacas were just gorgeous. Unfortunately, due to storms and tank/pump water, there was heavy sediment in the tap water which included a bit of a smell. Bathing in the spa or having a shower in discoloured water was just a bit of bad luck, and shower pressure wasn’t brilliant. But it was a very small blip on an incredible trip
- Fred (9/5): Superb - Nice relaxing outlook & surroundings. Lovely Fireplace, comfy bed & nice touches throughout. A/C unit a bit noisy but hardly an issue overall.
- Williams (10/5): It was so peaceful staying here. Very clean and had everything we needed! Lovely views of the farm. It was so fun taking - It was so peaceful staying here. - Jessica (10/5): We loved our stay and planning another in the future - We loved the alpacas and the quietest of the property
We loved chatting with Ray about things to do around the area and he’s suggestions were great. Nothing really just the water was a bit brown from the acid rain but we were informed at the start of our stay
- Yen (10/5): Wonderful farm stay - The cottage is very lovely with beautiful view. It’s even better than what we expected from the pictures of this farm stay. We loved feeding alpacas and enjoyed walking around the farm. Ray and Nell were very friendly and made us feel like home. Thank you for such wonderful stay! Almost nothing except for the water. It’s rain water and got murky as we arrived one day after the big storm. It was not clear for 2 days that we stayed there. But still love our stay here so much!
- Shwetha (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional -

Feeding the alpacas was also a highlight, they are super friendly and cute. thanks Nell, will definitely stay again. nothing
- Gabrielle (8/5): Very good - The cottage is wonderful and large enough for a couple. Rainwater tank. I wanted a spa but the water was too murky. This should be looked at very soon. No bedroom door. The cottage makes noises and it would be better with a door.
- Jeff (9/5): Excellent place for a beautiful short stay - Excellent breakfast.
