Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer, bequeme Betten, tiptop sauber. Wir waren nur 1 Nacht dort, könnten uns aber auch vorstellen, ein paar Tage zu bleiben. Nichts

• Suzanne (9/5): A peaceful visit in Appenzell! - The room was quite spacious and very cute-looking. The location is peaceful, including great views all around. The best thing was the host, who was very helpful and accommodating! She also prepared a genuine, fresh breakfast for me. I definitely recommend a visit to Hof Dietrich!

Ich kann es nur empfehlen, wenn man vom Alltag in der Agglo oder Stadt auftanken will. gerne wieder. Es gab nichts.

• Meara (10/5): Es war fantastisch! Absolut zu empfehlen! - Die Inhaber des Hofes waren sehr freundlich! Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Das Tiny House mit Blick aufs Tal und einem Glasdach war traumhaft. Wir haben selten so einen schönen Sternenhimmel gesehen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und liebevoll gestaltet.
• Kyra (10/5): Amazing, couldn’t be better ! - never wrote a review in my life but what an amazing stay! hospitality was better then the hotels i usually stay in. bathroom and bed where clean and spacious. the family is so nice and helpful even though there was a language barrier, cause i don’t speak german lol, we still communicated. breakfast was the highlight of the stay in my opinion. they prepare so much food that it will leave you full throughout the day. and let’s not forget that it was delicious as well. the animals were a good addition to my holiday as well because the made me feel like i’m still at home in some way.

• Steve (8/5): Quirky but cheap, clean and good breakfast. - If you want a place out of the hassle of the city this is for you. It is best described as a semi farm stay and maybe the quirkiest place I have stayed at. (See comments below). The price was very good, the breakfast was plentiful (fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, egg, cold meat plate, breads, cheeses, fruit juice, tea / coffee. The room was spacious and and the bed was comfortable. These are not criticisms, but need to know. Maybe I booked in a hurry and didn't read thoroughly. GPS stops you at the first house up a private driveway, the "hotel" is the fourth and last - but no signage. Your room doesn't have ensuite, you have a night time toilet on you level but bathroom is down one level. I presume these are shared facilities but there were no other guests. I'm 6'4'' and the ceiling height is only 6'6". It is more like a room in their house than a hotel.
• Wewanderwhenwecan (9/5): Wonderful Swiss Hospitality - A wonderful little inn with a friendly proprietor. Excellent and generous meals (cash only). The family room is huge, with room to sleep 7 very comfortably, as well as a table and TV. Comfortable beds. Beautiful location. Note that the stairs are steep, and that the toilet/bath are not on the same level as the bedroom, if this is an issue for you. It'd also be nice if the doors to the toilet were bigger/more solid.

• Jared (10/5): Excellent Family-run B&B - The dinners were all excellent, thoroughly Swiss and thoroughly delicious. By far the tastiest food our 16-day, 5-town stay. My wife has some dietary restrictions that I didn't think much about ahead of time, but the Dietrichs were very accommodating. The family at the farm were all very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. Have to try hard to find a flaw. It's outside of town, but that's part of its charm. There were difficult times in communication as we didn't speak German or French, but Google translate made it easy and fun as we waved arms around and laughed.
• Nils (5/5): An Appenzeller traditional farm house - Living in a Appenzeller farmhouse, with two friendly dogs, a few cats and cows. A new experience by the way. A friendly family, very busy with kids and at least you are in the swiss country side. Maybe something for youngsters? The advert on booking.com is a bit overrated. There is a shared bathroom and toilet in hte hallway, one stair down. The breakfast was ok, but not more to say.
• Alisha (7/5): Good - The beds were very large and comfortable and the shower was also very large as well as clean. It certainly felt like we were on a tapering farm We were met by a child who showed us around but we didn't understand anything and felt a bit awkward not knowing for sure who was in charge or where things were or what time, etc. Please note, there is not a private bathroom with the room, as advertised. And the bathroom provided has uncovered windows which is a bit disconcerting😬

• Judy (10/5): Perfection in a little Swiss Village - This was truly the most wonderful place to stay! The hosts and family were friendly and fun to hang out with. They took me into town a few times as I was a solo traveler, coming by train, and walking everywhere. They made me feel at home. I had a huge delicious dinner prepared the night I got in and breakfast in the morning. It was perfect I played chess with Robert, the son. The room was perfectly prepared, and comfortable. It was quiet. The only sounds I heard were cow bells. Nothing. I loved it all.
• Sylwia (10/5): Wonderful Hosts! - My teenager was travelling 1st time alone abroad, and happened to stay at Hof Dietrich for 1 night, as he was watching Arsenal playing. Ursula looked after him like her own, was very responsive on email (my German is non existing), and very helpful altogether. Thank you, you are a Star 🌟 Farm is great, bed very comfortable, and the air so much clearer than in London!
