• Laura (10/5): Truly a 10/10 experience with a true Tuscan atmosphere, we will definitely be back! - Everything was perfect: atmosphere is wonderful, location and views are beyond amazing. Truly a postcard of Tuscany! Very private and quiet, all amenities you need and nice sunny pool. Very warm welcome, we will for sure be back! The beds are a little bit on the harder side but to each their own preference.

Bonusem byla možnost procházky po přilehlých pozemcích, kde byli ustájeni koně. Pobyt na tomto krásném místě jsme si dokonale užili.
• ozlem (10/5): Heavenly place for a glimpse of Tuscan Life. - If i had to describe this place with one word, i’d say “heavenly”. My stay in Santa Maria a Poneta was short yet unforgettably beautiful. The villa was absolutely gorgeous, decorated and specially prepared with beautiful materials, you could tell a lot of efforts were made during the process. Every single detail was so well done and thought that i was in awe all the time. If you want to have a glimpse of the true Italian Tuscan life, i’d recommend it 100%, because it is simple, efficiently beautiful and subtle. Everything about the facility was simply amazing, especially the terrace/patio area overlooking the pool which was my favorite, you could rest and have a perfect time overall in these areas. I specifically enjoyed preparing dinner & coffee calmly and then enjoying it in that area. The farm itself is stunning, the entrance area to the gate, the cypress trees welcoming you, the big gardens (which were so well maintained and taken care of) were giving an excellent energy, i absolutely loved taking a walk around. It is an amazing place to relax and enjoy a calm tuscan life. I also enjoyed the presence of the animals of the place, like seeing the horses, the cat and the dogs were paying visit from time to time and it was very pleasant as they were adorable. Lastly i’d like to express again my appreciation for the owners Riccardo and Susanna who were absolutely amazing, so helpful and kindhearted. I had to chance to meet them and talk about the history of the place as well as had the most positive interaction ever. You can definitely tell a lot of effort has been put into this place for it to be so beautiful and perfect. I sincerely enjoyed every second of this stay and i cannot recommend it enough. Also i’d like to thank also Danilo and his sister who helped me kindly during my stay, informing me about everything throughout my stay, they were lovely. I can definitely say i will come back again hopefully for a longer period. Cannot think of anything. This was perfect.

• Anna (10/5): - Santa Maria a Poneta is beautifully maintained. Everything is up-to-date and spotlessly clean. But there are still well-made, traditional pieces of furniture and high-quality linens. This team has clearly done a lot to maintain and update these beautiful, old buildings. We wish we could have seen the olive oil or wine production, but we also understand it’s tricky to involve tourists in all of that.

The groundskeeper Danilo was great and the owners made sure we had everything we needed. Filipe and Pina, the two dogs are very friendly (especially if you have a bbq!) and it’s very close to local wineries, Siena, San Gimignano etc. this place has it all - it’s a dream! Nothing - it was perfect!

• Joachim (8/5): Haben uns wohl gefühlt, war schön und ruhig vorallem - Super schönes Anwesen, wurden nett empfangen. Lage um Siena, Pisa und Florenz zu besichtigen war top. Schön ruhig und mit Pferden, Hunden und Katzen auf dem Hof. Die Unterkunft war schön, Betten waren bequem und die Terrasse schön groß. Essen gehen war im Ort etwas schwierig, der Fernseher sehr klein und im Wohnzimmer konnten die „Nachbarn“ auf dem Anwesen Abends durchs Fenster schauen, das hat uns etwas gestört.

• Lotte (10/5): Heerlijk rustig verblijf met mooi uitzicht, fijn zwembad en warme gastvrijheid! - We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in ons verblijf aan de Strada di Poneta! De locatie is werkelijk perfect: midden in het glooiende Toscaanse landschap met uitzicht over de wijngaarden, maar toch op korte afstand van charmante dorpjes zoals San Gimignano. Het appartement was sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wat we vooral waardeerden, was het fijne buitenterras waar we ’s ochtends in alle rust konden ontbijten en ’s avonds genoten van de zonsondergang met een goed glas wijn. Ook het zwembad was heerlijk, schoon en rustig gelegen, ideaal om even af te koelen na een dagje toeren. De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren maakte ons verblijf compleet: vriendelijk, betrokken en altijd beschikbaar voor tips of hulp. Kortom: een romantisch en rustgevend plekje in hartje Toscane. Een aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar comfort, natuur en een vleugje Italiaanse charme! 🌿🇮🇹

Good amount of cutlery and crockery..Danny very helpful and the three resident dogs and cat were very welcoming. A couple of basic supplies e.g. salt, pepper, small olive oil (they make their own) and paper towel. A shopping bag for the groceries.

• Cristel (10/5): Loved it! Beautiful property and peaceful oasis. - The location was great and the property is beautiful. Just like the photos! It was pretty central to many sights so it was easy to take day trips. 5 minutes to Pam Supermercato,, 15 minutes to San Gimignano, 90 minutes to Pisa and Viareggio, 60 minutes to Florence. Our apartment was perfect for our family of four. We loved the pool- it was so nice to be able to cool off after sightseeing in the heat. And the bedrooms all had air conditioning so the house stayed cool. The hosts also helped a few times with travel suggestions and dinner reservations. We loved everything but the beds. The mattresses were too firm and uncomfortable. We survived our 5 nights but would suggest new mattresses or toppers to make them more comfortable.

Some bits in the house were missing and would have been nice to have eg some info about the local area as there are some great restaurants and local farms around; we don’t go there to watch TV but more choices on the TV (2 channels, German and Italian). But overall great place to be.
