Guest Reviews
- Hikari (10/5): -
- Chen (8/5): - The accomodation was very quiet and spacious, very clean and well equipped with all that we needed . The location was very good especially for exploring the East side of the Tamar region. Our host Lesley made us feel welcomed as soon as we arrived by demonstrating hazelnut cracking and filling us in on sights we could explore in the area. It would have been better if there was WiFi at the cottage but then it's a farm where one is supposed to disconnect from tech.
- Samosam17 (10/5): - Vraiment très calme et confortable
- Janette (9/5): Relaxed, comfortable vibe amongst the hills - John and Leslie’s loft house was very comfortable and spacious with quiet and beautiful surrounds… we enjoyed chatting and learning more about the property … lovely gardens …. great location … short walk into town … good value … definitely would stay again …and loved the roasted hazelnuts ….

Our room and facilities were far better than we expected.
- Susan (10/5): A great find - I loved the views over the orchard from my room. The room had everything you needed and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again

- hasitha (10/5): - Cherry Top Farmstay is tucked away in a truly beautiful part of Tasmania, offering an authentic countryside experience that feels peaceful and refreshing from the moment you arrive. visited from South Australia and absolutely loved our stay in this cute, charming little place.
The weather, the rolling landscape, and the gorgeous veggie, fruit, and flower gardens made the whole visit feel special. Watching the sunset — and especially the sunrise — right from our room was unforgettable. The colours over the hills were stunning and made each morning feel magical.
The room itself was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring the area. What made the stay even better was the kindness and warmth of the owner, who made us feel genuinely welcome.
A wonderful farmstay in a beautiful location — we’d happily return.
- Sam (10/5): - Great place to stay, lovely owners, super clean, the best accommodation I have had in Tasmania. Nil
- Liang (10/5): Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Relaxing place and tour of farm is recommended! -
- Nicholas (10/5): - Great place to stay, excellent location, very friendly owners. Nothing
- Lawrence (9/5): Too short - Tranquil Stairs
- Georgia (10/5): - This is a beautifully presented authentic farm stay. The surroundings are spectacular and we slept like babies! The photos don't do it justice!

- Schweppes (10/5): Starry starry nights. A view from your bed is fabulous. Forget the exterior look of the loft, the in - The interior fittings are great. The views fromthe picture wibdows at night are great. Wake up and look at the stars. Being met by owner and intro t
O their crop oforganic hazlenuts and nutcracker was cool. Views are amazing. Microwave might have been nice.
- alison (6/5): Nice place, but no wifi connection 😕 - This was a cute rustic abode, a nicely kitted out kitchen, with a good heat pump & well furnished. Sadly, no wifi 😢 There were red flags when the welcoming blurb said to try to log in to the wifi on the kitchen. I complained & asked what was wrong, only to be told that the weather could disrupt the service. However, day two was just light showers & no sign of a network & on my last day, which was a beautiful sunny morning, the network popped up on my phone but would not connect. So, if you're like me, who wants a reliable service, I wouldn't advise to book here 🥺
- Collins (8/5): Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area. - Nice quiet location close to shops. Lovely views. Lovely host. Stairs wouldnt have been suitable for elderly or person with mobility problems.
- Matisse (9/5): Cozy stay - Had a lovely stay with Lesley. We were warmly welcomed, even upon our late arrival, and enjoyed trying their fresh hazelnuts. Room was super cozy with beautiful views. Would definitely stay here again!
- Olena (10/5): I wish I could stay longer - A heart-warming place with lovely hosts. Room was spacious and cozy with a great view. Definitely would stay again. No heater in bathroom

- Jacqueline (10/5): We loved our stay at Cherry Top Farmstay it was an absolute delight. - Picturesque romantic stay. Peaceful view, nice and quiet. Warm and cosy. Self contained kitchen with everything you need- our room even had an upright antique piano. We liked everything.

- Christine (8/5): Beautiful rural location close to Launceston; cosy room, modern bathroom, great hosts - Eating an apple straight from the tree in the property's orchard, crushing hazelnuts was a first! Cosy room with fabulous view; great hosts

- Michael (10/5): Beautiful farmstay - perfect!! - We loved this stay, it was so peaceful andbeautiful. The hosts, Lesley and John, are such kind and generous people, who showed us round their property and all of the beautiful gardens where they grow fruit, nuts and vegetables. We really enjoyed the farm tour which we had an opportunity to learn the history of the property, see/try various fruits and vegetables, and enjoy beautiful view. It was very special experience for my kids as we live in a city and they really loved trying hazel nuts. Thank you, Lesley for such a lovely tour! Nothing

- William (9/5): A warm welcome from our hosts and a tranquil but convenient location; all we could have hoped for. - Excellent facilities in the room - microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, fridge - which was very spacious. The bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs. This was not a problem for us but it is good to note this in the description as it may not suit people with mobility issues.

A real home away from home with wonderful hosts. I was made to feel very welcome, and the views are sensational. So reasonably priced for what is provided. That I had to leave.
- Ian (10/5): Most enjoyable! - Facilities and equipment are all that one could wish for. Fantastic views across the valley. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Environmental sound. A great base for visits to Launceston, the North East and the Tamar region.
- Lee (9/5): Superb - The room was very pleasant and equipped with everything I needed. The only slight inconvenience was only having water available downstairs. The bathroom was fantastic, great shower! The bed was very comfortable. The views were lovely, peaceful and rural. I was delighted that I could bring my dog. It would have been nice to have something to make coffee in (e.g. a french press) and perhaps a plastic bin to carry dirty dishes downstairs

- Dara (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very peaceful. It was near great attractions like Bridestowe Lavender Farm, a couple of vineyards and Crestview Blueberry farm. Also only about 30 mins away from Launceston.
John and Lesley are wonderful hosts. Not a negative, but just for people to be aware, this is not a Cherry farm, but a Hazel nut farm. Loved seeing the hazel nut trees as it was out first time.
