• Tanya (10/5): Clean, comfortable and quiet - Stayed here 10 nights (mum plus 2 teenagers). Good value for money, clean and comfortable and quiet. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Location was great-10 minute walk to ferry terminal, 20 minute walk to trains and shopping centre. Manager Margre was lovely and very helpful. Parking was additional per night which was fine, but wasn't clearly commmunicated beforehand, so an unexpected cost. There was air-con in main living area but not in bedrooms- luckily pedestal fans were provided but twin bedroom had nowhere accessible to plug the fan in. Not a big deal as the unit seemed to be well insulated and stayed quite cool even when fans/ aircon were off.

• Valentina (6/5): - We stayed as three adults. The apartment was in a good location and it was clean, which we appreciated. Margre was very lovely and friendly, and I would like to thank her for her kindness and help during our stay. There were several issues that impacted our stay. The apartment has two bedrooms, but neither bedroom has air conditioning and both have carpet. Although fans were provided, they were blowing hot air because the rooms became extremely hot, especially during summer. I tried opening the windows, but they only open slightly, likely for safety reasons, which did not help with ventilation. There is air conditioning in the living room, but it is located near the sliding door to the balcony, so most of the cool air goes there instead of into the rest of the apartment. When sleeping on the sofa bed, the air was hitting the blinds, causing constant noise, which made it difficult to sleep. We were advised that the air conditioning should be set at 22 degrees, but after speaking with my brother who is an electrician, I understand this is more for energy saving purposes and that the temperature could be lowered if needed. We came during summer, and the excessive heat in the bedrooms significantly disrupted our sleep throughout the stay. Additionally, the neighbourhood was quite noisy, with frequent gate noises heard during the night. The internet connection was also very unreliable. It kept cutting out and hardly worked at times, which was frustrating and inconvenient during our stay. The apartment did not provide basic toiletries such as shampoo, body wash, or hand wash, only a very small bar of soap. There was also no hair dryer provided, so we had to purchase everything ourselves. The kitchen did not have enough tea or sugar for three people, especially considering we stayed for six days, so we had to buy those as well. The laundry detergent provided was only a small amount and ran out quickly, requiring us to purchase more. For the price paid, I personally do not feel the stay was worth it. Unfortunately, the apartment did not meet our needs, and I would not stay here again.

Should have more crockery / cultlery - 4 not enough really. The added cost for parking should be clear - parking available at extra cost - not only seen by looking at facility details.

• Jade (5/5): It was alright it held my family for 3 nights but wouldn’t stay again - It was good to have 2 bathrooms and the view was alright The beds were very rock hard. could hear absolutely everything down to people below us. Noticed some cockroaches in the apartment. Was given a garage lucky I didn’t park my car in there because once the door was shut we couldn’t get it back open at all.

• Anthony (8/5): Perfect place to stay if you need to be in the Parramatta area - Location was great. Apartment was a great size, it was clean. The manager Margaret was friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that there was not enough toilet paper and glasses in the cupboard need replacing.

• Millie (8/5): Great stay very central to everything . - I like the close proximity to everything and the closeness to our family . The unit was on the top level .More stairs than we liked to carry our bags up.

Accommodation was spacious and very clean. Fans would be beneficial in the shower area to help clear steam but this didn't impede our stay in any way

• Tara (10/5): Great stay - The place was amazing, plenty of room that was clean and comfortable. The rooms and living spaces were spacious. The outside balcony was a positive addition. We read the reviews prior to booking so we were aware of the steps up to the apartments.

• Jennifer (9/5): Good value and highly recommended - The attention by Margre was exceptional. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the first floor above the garages, which was exceptionally clean and had obviously been refurbished within the last few years - modern kitchen with stone benchtops, 2 modernised bathrooms, laundry with washing machine and dryer. Easy on site parking for our care with loaded roof rack. We were aware of the 4 hr cycle on aircon but worked around this as it was very cold when we stayed. We needed to stay an extra night and thankfully Linda was able to arrange this for us. Nothing major, some niggly things, like no exhaust fans in bathrooms, old hard mattress in main bedroom, checking in paperwork.

A very pleasant stay, nice friendly host. - This apartment is spotless, very large with 2 bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms & a walk out balcony with table and chairs. It was well maintained, almost everything was provided, the kitchen well stocked with utensils etc and the washing machine and dryer very handy and easy to use. The host was lovely and very welcoming. If you chose, there was the option of a lock up garage and we did choose this. The location is very private, very quiet and not too far to walk to cross the river and catch the ferry or a bit further to the trains. It was a very pleasant walk into Parramatta or a short drive if you chose. Not too far from the Sydney Markets and Olympic Park. Walking through Parramatta, there were restaurants of every choice and walking along the river was quite enjoyable, there was a very nice lookout if you were happy to climb the steps (worth the view if you do). In the entrance of the apartments, it was well stocked with maps and things to do, I thought this was a very thoughtful addition, so thank you to the hosts. I was surprised that toiletries were not provided, it is possibly the only place I have stayed that doesn't. There are no lifts if you have walking difficulties. When we arrived, the apartment was like ice and it took quite a while to warm up, but in the end it did and it was toasty warm inside. The tv has very tinny sound and it was very hard to hear at times. probably needs an upgrade. These were minor issues and overall, had minimal effect on our stay.

• Yvonne (9/5): We loved the whole experience. Thank you - The property manager was excellent, very friendly, explained everything and very helpful in every way. The area was perfect for everything we needed. The apartment was maticulously clean. It is only a minor thing but the TV remote was broken and didn't work. It was replaced the next day with another old remote that was also cracked but it did the job. Not the manager's fault!

• Matt (9/5): Handy little unit tucked away in a quiet suberban street - This was a handy little unit located within a 10 minute walk of Church St restaurant precinct. It was easy to find and is nestled in a quiet back street in Parramatta. Car parking was conveniently available on site, with plenty of parking also available on the street (noting that we visited on a weekend when the school across the road wasn't open). The unit was clean and tidy, and had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. It has a massive north facing balcony which is sundrenched on a clear winters day. If we had to find a negative - the bed wasn't overly comfortable (a little on the firm side for us). Having said that, it wouldn't top me from staying again :-) As mentioned - the beds weren't as comfy as we'd have liked.

• Vivek (6/5): Good stay for a few days . Too many rules to follow . - The apartment is in a handy location. The train is a good 15-20 mins walk. Lot of food options nearby. We had a car so it was easy to drive around . The apartment has all the basic necessities. Laundry and kitchen are well equipped. Although kitchen does lack basic salt &pepper. The bathroom doesn’t have toileteries like shampoo,body wash . There is just a small bar of soap given. We were expected to leave the apartment in same condition as we got it, clean kitchen thoroughly, do the dishes and we had to clear all the rubbish out which we thought was a little extreme . We were afraid of cooking and using the kitchen basically as we also had to sign a bond of $250 for any odours , stain marks in kitchen area . All this was not mentioned while making a booking . An expectation of basic cleaning is acceptable as a visitor for few days .

• Noroa (10/5): Great place to stay - location, location - Apartment was perfect for us, clean, tidy and had all the amenities. Bed and lounge was comfy. Location was everything (we attended a concert at Accor stadium) so bus (525) stop was a 5min stroll from the flat, or a 15min walk to Parramatta station if you prefer a train ride (right next to a Westfield mall - also a plus). There is also a ferry stop close by, great to take for a little day trip - check timetable for this. Lastly, but certainly not least, our host Magre was the best, and is a valuable asset to Parkside Apartments. She has a wealth of knowledge of the area and gave us a ton of info regarding public transportation, great places to eat and favourite coffee spots. We would certainly stay again. For my family and I, everything was great. I think just a precaution. There is no lift, we were at the top 3rd level, so 5 flights of stairs. We were absolutely fine with it, but I guess for those who might find the climb challenging and/or need wheelchair facilities, this won't be for you.
