- Karen (10/5): Can’t wait to stay again. - This property was amazing. It was peaceful and allowed the body and mind to reset away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our host was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area. The pool, horses, cows, and friendly dogs…we didn’t try he tennis court but maybe next time. There was nothing to dislike .
- Janelle (10/5): -
- kylie (6/5): - The location was amazing. Having a pool was a relief as it was a heatwave. The dogs and horses were gorgeous. No air-conditioning in a heatwave. Inside and outside furniture very old and outdated. No screen on front door to allow airflow at night. Pool needed a good clean, and some deck chairs would be nice.
- Clare (10/5): Wonderful break gorgeous log cabin and wildlife - Well named hidden haven perfect for rest and relaxation after Sydney and Melbourne. Peaceful and beautiful, lots to see and do or just laze around pool and cabin. Very welcoming.
- Eva (9/5): - The location is VERY isolated and this is what we were looking for. Just be aware the last part of the road is winding gravel through the pasture area, so expect some lovely cows ;) Nothing to dislike.
- DBlockley (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful escape. - The location is stunning, on the edge of the forest with lots great hikes. Tony was a great and friendly host with lots of good suggestions and looked after us well. The dogs were also lovely and friendly hosts happy to say hello or go for walks. The birdlife was fantastic and it was lovely sitting of an evening on the balcony having dinner surrounded by their calls and visits.
- Bettina (10/5): It was an amazing experience and we look forward to a repeat visit. - The remoteness in the wilderness provided quiet and lots of wildlife. The host was exceptionally helpful with directions for driving and walking and also created a fire in the evenings and stayed for a chat.
- Joanne (8/5): Great , relaxing apart from the mattress - Location, facilities, staff Bed mattress needs replacing.. deep body imprints in the bed and we both kept rolling into the middle, ended up both with sore backs unfortunately . Needs firm mattresses
- Marion (Mary) (10/5): Amazing experience to in the midst of nature whilst staying in beautifully refurbished loft cabin. - Beautiful, great facilities, nightly camp fires.
- Salman (10/5): Amazing ❤️❤️❤️ - The couple who were there and took care of everything were extremely friendly, kind, and full of positive energy. They did their absolute best to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. That place is truly one of the best locations I have ever visited in my life. Nothing

- Brian (9/5): brilliant getaway with the kids, hikes, bikes, swimming, nature, snakes, tassie devils lotsoflaughs - Beautiful space, hosts super friendly, social and great with our kids. Start to finish and exceptional little get away, cabins were just how I envisaged, pizza oven and communal firepit great for interacting. Great pool table and table tennis for a bit of fun...pool amazing to cool off in the afternoon sun. no dislikes
- Jan (8/5): Beautiful countryside and so relaxing. - You have to be completely self sufficient here, you must bring everything you need.
It was a very relaxing view from our cabin\all cabins, the sounds of the birds was so beautiful. The natural wood burning combustion fire was lovely and warmed the whole cabin, all wood was provided daily. The only table was outside so too cold in the cooler months to sit outside to eat or if it was raining it would be a no go. A printout showed the many walks from the property with a lovely creek running through the property. The owner was very helpful and friendly to talk too. Loved all the stained glass windows. A small table inside to eat from at night in the cool months.
- Simi (10/5): Great way to switch off and relax! - Beautiful location, clean rooms and lovely hosts
- Christopher (10/5): Great view· Romantic · Quiet · Child-friendly Rooms were clean; kitchen was well serviced. - This place is certainly one of the hidden gems in NSW. The place is profoundly serene and blissful, a perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend. Both Tony & Jenny played wonderful hosts making sure we were well looked after. The place was clean and sufficiently large for a family of 4. We holidayed along with our family friends and thoroughly enjoyed the setup. Our kids also enjoyed the company of Tony and Jenny’s friendly and loving dogs and horses.
Everything from a warm cozy cottage, a campfire well organized by the hosts, tennis court, walking trails, this place had it all. If you are looking for a relaxing get-away from your busy lives, this place is highly recommended. NA

- Ciara-Lee (10/5): Fantastic stay that is worth the journey & the price - we will be back! - The location was perfect for a getaway, gorgeous surrounding areas and a lovely drive there. Instructions on how to get there provided before day of arrival as you lose signal a little while before arriving. Instructions were super easy to follow. It does take a while to get there (which was a bonus for what we wanted) so make sure to stop at Glouster Woolworths to get food and supplies before arriving. If you're up for it, you must do the Wallaby trail (steep but worth the walk) which takes you to a gorgeous freshwater river to refill bottles or go for a swim! The owner was truly so wonderful and provided logs for the fire every night and recommendations for where to go during the days or after our stay. A bunch of super excitable dogs (also a bonus) but don't let them in the tennis court, you'll never get a round in!
Truly no complaints, we stayed in the loft and with the fire going it was lovely and warm all evening (we stayed in the winter). If your fire making skills aren't up to scratch there is also a heater you can switch on which heats the place quickly. Truly nothing to report! The pool was closed for cleaning as it was winter time so we didn't mind and the owner was doing some redecorating of the hall but this didn't impact our stay at all. All outdoor facilities were great and there is a larger fire pit and bbq for groups or anyone wanting to get outside the cabin.
- Natalie (10/5): Fantastic for a weekend getaway! - The cabins were nice and warm, had a beautiful balcony and a nice fireplace. The property itself is gorgeous and looks like it belongs in a fairy tale. There were 3 very well behaved dogs who roamed around and loved getting pats and having their ball thrown for them. They were super friendly and absolutely gorgeous 😍 Nothing at all. We were very impressed. Excellent value for money.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Ashlee (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (8/5): Relaxed and peaceful with plenty to do if you wanted to. - Great place to disconnect from everything whilst still having some comforts. Loved the full kitchen in the cabin and also the early evening campfire.
- Davies (10/5): Beautiful area and great hosts -
- Diana (10/5): Great Easter break in nature - This was our second time staying at Hidden Haven (last time was about three years ago) and it was even better than we remembered. We stayed four nights over Easter in one of the cabins with a balcony looking onto the forest. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re properly away from everything, in a good way.
The cabin was really comfy and had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time just sitting out on the balcony watching all the birds, playing a lot of table tennis in the games area, hanging out with the dogs, and sitting around the campfire at night. It was really relaxed and easy, exactly what we were after.
It’s also a great base to explore Barrington Tops. We did a few walks including the Polblue Swamp track, which was beautiful. Tony and Jenny who run the place are lovely too, always happy to have a chat or help out if you need anything.
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Casey (9/5): I had an amazing time, tony was very lovely and accomodating, I will definitely be back! - The location was beautiful, very peaceful and close to a lot of great walking tracks!
- Kim (10/5): It’s like being in a little tree house with the birds for the weekend! - Such a beautiful place to stay & feel one with nature. Everything was great!
- Jillian (9/5): Stunningly beautiful location. Owners are welcoming Loved spending time with their 3 friendly dogs. -
- Sean (9/5): A really good getaway, with a great isolated location and very friendly hosts. - Tony and Jenny were excellent hosts in all respects.
- Moira (10/5): Bellbirds and Beauty at Hidden Haven - Super Peaceful location with great bird life and native animals. Close to scenic drives and rainforest walks. Friendly helpful host.
Attractive cosy cottage with all comforts provided.
- Kerryn (8/5): A unique stay in peaceful rural/rainforest setting with the sounds of a bubbling brook and birdlife. - Rustic, peaceful, beautiful surrounds, lots of birds (loved the multitude of bellbirds), super helpful friendly host. Recommended for nature lovers. Not didn't like, we were happy, just could do with even a folding indoor table for when it's too cold to eat outside (maybe you can get one, we didn't ask).
- Karrin (10/5): Pure bliss 😊 - Absolutely everything was just pure bliss!! The host, the property, the bed, the linen, the facilities! I mean everything!! Not a single thing not to like here.
- Rohini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Santosh (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (10/5): Perfect weekend away just what we needed for a reset - Everything Everything was fantastic
- Rebecca (10/5): Beautiful Relaxation - Our host greeted us and immediately made us feel welcome. The location was beautiful and the facilities were clean and so comfortable, making it the most relaxing getaway we could have hoped for.
- Rosamund (9/5): Great respite from camping in the rain! - The host Tony ws very helpful and the bush viws for the balconies were lovely. Overall the studio had everthing that we needed and was a good base to explore Barrington Tops National Park. Bird droppings on balcony.
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb - The property was wonderful. Beautiful and relaxing. The owners were warm and welcoming. The location so close to many walks was great. Having the farm dogs hang out with you was the best! The Saturday night get together with other guests was nice. Nothing to complain about.
- Helen (10/5): Fantastic, awesome, lovely, you must stay here! - Beautiful property and location. Lovely hosts (both 2 legged and 4 legged kinds) - Tony and Jenny were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable and so were the dogs (welcoming that is!). The cabin was fabulous with everything we needed and very comfy beds and pillows. We definitely recommend Hidden Haven and can't wait to come back. Didn't like having to leave! However, reality struck and we had to go home! We will stay longer next time so that we get to do some of the walks around the place.
- Jodie (10/5): Stunning location and gorgeous cabin with deck overlooking the forest - Serenity Nothing
- Susie (10/5): It's such a beautiful property and a great way to step away from the hustle and bustle of your life. - BYO food and bevvies. If you forget anything, it's only 40mins into Gloucester, it's not a bad drive. The cabin's cooking facilities are excellent, and the BBQ area is a wonderful option for your cook-up. The bar fridge in the loft cabin, surprisingly, fits a lot of food.
It is soooo quiet up there, especially at night. Tony & Jenny are so amazing, friendly, and accommodating if you need anything. They are great to have chats with as well. You can go to the fridge in the stables to grab carrots to feed the horses, at any time. Spend a day or two by the pool, and pack some marshmallows for the nightly bonfire Tony lights up. It is one of the loveliest places to visit, wether it's sunshine or rain, and the water is the cleanest water out of a tap I've had in years, so don't bring bottled water! There are great little tracks to walk on the property. The bath towels were so soft and smell so fresh and lovely, bathroom super clean. The beds and pillows are really comfy. My sun -soaked private balcony was perfect first thing in the morning to sit on with a freshly brewed coffee in my hand, and just as perfect at sunset with a glass of wine, cheese board and book. Or just sit there and listen to the birds catch-up on their day. Kangaroos/Wallabies always grazing. Beautiful bird chatter all day. Oh, I musn't forget to mention their fur babies, Doug and Delta, who will greet you on arrival and are happy to hang with you and/or escort you around the property at anytime. Their daughter, Chelsea, is super friendly and lovely as well. Next I want to visit in winter so I can sit in front of the woodfire fireplace in my cabin. Hidden Haven - it's all in the name! I highly recommend it. See you again Tony, Jenny, Chelsea, Doug, Delta and horsies xx Absolutely nothing negative to say. Just a great experience in everyway.
- Abbas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordaan (5/5): Almost there - The location was good for us. The swimming pool was welcoming under the shade. We stayed for 2 nights, enough to be able to go on walking trails around the area. Beautiful country scenes and hills provided the escape that was expected of the Barrington Tops region. Unfortunately the experience was short of a viable expectation. Overall the pictures on the site was showing a better image of our unit. The porch and its chairs was dirty, the bedsheets was dirty and white (as opposed to the colourful appearance on the website) some flyscreens were broken and the communal area was dark and untidy. The ceiling fans did not work properly. The barbeque facility lacked cleaning equipment needed to clean the barbeque. Unfortunately we did expect more. We made the most of our stay and ensured that we still have a good time.
- Allan (9/5): Superb - Lovely quiet location and comfortable beds.
- Mechell (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were absolutely phenomenal … hospitality is unmatched!!
- Mark (10/5): Excellent-would have loved another night. - Location was excellent. It is really hidden and tucked well back into the property. So peaceful with so many birds and other animals around if you like bird song (and some frogs) you won't be disappointed. The host/owners were so accommodating and kind. There are trails on-site to wander and the cabins are really clean and comfortable as well as plenty of other amenities. Would recommend for couples, families or groups too.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous cabin nestled in amongst the serene Australian bush. Tony and Jenny were the most welcoming hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and made us feel at home from the get-go. We were able to enjoy a peaceful stay and keep to ourselves if we wanted to, but could also meet some of the other lovely guests staying at the property over a campfire each evening.
Very clean facilities and the room had all the cooking appliances we needed for a few nights away. The bed and pillows were very comfortable too which is a bonus! We also enjoyed that there were a few walks we could do around the property, and that the property is very set-back from the main road so it was nice and quiet.
We would not stay anywhere else when visiting Barrington Tops! We had such a wonderful stay and can't wait to go back!
- Teruko (10/5): Amazing stays! Everyone needs a break from their busy lives here :) - We stayed in a one-bedroom cabin. It was comfortable and clean. Everything you need during your stay is provided, you just need to go! We were surrounded by beautiful nature and animals. We felt very calm and peaceful. We loved the fireplace and bathtub after a lot of walking. Enjoyed lots of stars at night too. We would also recommend the Burlington Top drive and bush walks. Tony and Jenny were very welcoming and friendly. Doug and Delta were really cute. We would love to stay and see them again! Thanks :) Nothing. We love it.
- Pauline (10/5): We’ll be back! - Beautiful remote piece of paradise. Great facilities and had a fabulous break. Excellent walking onsite and through the Tops.
- Cassandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Absolute dream - Highly recommend, magical cabins hidden out in nature ✨ Hangout with the cows, horses, koalas, kangaroos, and very friendly doggos! Build your own fire, do some barbequing, hike around the property (which is an expansive forest 🤯)
- Fiona (7/5): Good -
- April (8/5): Perfect - Loved everything about it the owner the location the hut everything was perfect The only down fall was there was no baking dish to put in the oven. But it’s not really something I didn’t like just would have been handy
- Wallace (8/5): Wake up to the sound of nature - Hidden Haven is a great place for a peaceful getaway. Tony is accommodating and ensures none of his guests get lost in the park with lots of good advice. And the dogs are simply wonderful! One of the walking trails near the accommodation might have been a little overgrown, but it's a lovely walk.
- Kristy (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - We liked the lovely wooden rustic cottage, the beautiful drive in and the cabin being in a bush setting.
Loved the big fire place and the hot tub in the bathroom, plus enjoyed a rain forest walk on the property. Also the hosts were very nice. No wine glasses, no steel scourer for dirty pots.
- Bryce (8/5): Very good -
- Peta (10/5): Quiet relaxing place to recharge, wish our stay was longer than 2 nights! - Location was idyllic and perfect for our family to spend some needed quality time together 💕. Kids loved the games room and exploring around the creek. 7 year old loved the resident dogs! Nothing negative
- Castle (8/5): Loved the wood fire - Location was quiet and relaxing No coffee facilities in cabin
- Sean (10/5): This place really is a hidden haven - Fantastic location, very friendly staff, property exceed expectations. Highly recommend visiting!
- Shirley (10/5): Good weekend stay, somewhere to cancel off my bucket list - The friendly welcome we received I had booked one bedroom cabin but found that the bedroom was upstairs as I am 93 stairs were too much, so we were moved to a two bedroom cabin with everything on one level, the owners were more than friendly . It would be a great place for a group as the large community room was welcoming with plenty of seating and a huge log fire. Overall the place is great. Really couldnt fault anything.
- Stephen (7/5): Comfortable, great views and accessible to nice walks. - Location great and comfortable. Good access to nice walks. Not having tea bags, sugar, coffee bags or a small supply of milks. It's very remote from shops or services and some simple extras in the accommodation would make it so much better.
- Garry (10/5): Beautiful surroundings a unique opportunity to relax on a country retreat. We felt right at home. - Tranquil location surrounded by nature. Bird and animal life was plentiful. Staff are exceptional and welcoming. No negatives here.
- Rubaba (8/5): A little slice of heaven in the woods - The cabin was super cute and the drive from the main road to get to the cabins is just stunning.
Tony was also very friendly and helpful. He gave me a few suggestions on places to visit which turned out to be amazing! Minor criticism, I took cooking supplies with me so I cooked every night and had rubbish to dispose but there are no bins in the cabin, it's outside and late at night when it's dark it's a hassle getting out in the cold ro get the wooden bin in.
Also, the main lounge area can do with a small dining table and 2 chairs. I had to eat on the couch which wasn't comfortable if I had a few food bowls with me for dinner. Had to put them on the floor or keep going back to.the kitchen bench. There is a heavy wooden table under the TV but it was too heavy for me to drag across to the couch.
Also recommend the option to atleast have rubbish taken out if you're staying more than 2 nights. I was there for 3 nights and the rubbish was piling up.
As I said these are really minor things that can be fixed easily but apart from that was an amazing stay!
- Zofia (8/5): Very good -
- Clara (10/5): Allows one to recharge. - Solitud. Can't fault.
- Talya (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely locations with cabins, cottages and different places to stay. Good for a big group.
Pizza oven to use, bbq, pool table & ping pong table in shared area.
We were able to hire the commercial kitchen for a catered event.
Friendly staff
- Annette (9/5): A wonderful getaway in a beautiful environment - Jenny and Tony were lovely hosts at such a beautiful environment. The cabins were lovely and having a pool on a 40 degree day was awesome! The horses were a great treat to see from the cabins. Fantastic access to Barrington Tops area and a nice drive to Glocester Tops as well (which is beautiful!). Basics such as coffee & tea and soap were missing, but I should have read the fine print. Everything else was fantastic.
- Christopher (9/5): How's the serenity - Great secluded location up a beautiful valley. Tennis, pool, and bushwalks. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Loft cabins are well appointed and situated to add to the peace and quiet.
- Mobberley (7/5): Good - My daughter enjoyed the horses and dogs The wifi was an issue
- Silke (9/5): Superb -
- Aashish (10/5): Amazing - We enjoyed our stay at Hidden Haven , Tony was very helpful and friendly host. We had a delightful two-day stay at the hotel. The atmosphere was amazing and incredibly relaxing. The picturesque view provided a sense of peace, away from the bustling crowds. Highly recommend for a serene getaway. Everything was perfect
- Ankit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms and welcoming stuffs - Amazing environments.
- Marcela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lai (9/5): We want to come back and stay longer! - The dogs, the walking trails in the compound, friendliness and helpfulness of owner. The insects.
- John (9/5): We wanted a quiet wilderness stay with good facilities close to the bush - It was as was advertised a hidden retreat in the country surrounded by forest. Just what we wanted. Birds and wildlife were fantastic. There are many walking tracks some a bit challenging. The cabins were neat and tidy. Lovely balcony looking out to the forest. The owners were great and welcomed us first night and invited us to join them around the fire with their family and friends. Not much really. It had everything we needed and was just as the owners said it would be.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (7/5): Not my best pick - The concept, the bird life The external facilities are in need of a lot of maintenance
- Janusz (9/5): Excellent place to relax from a city life. -
- Tee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (8/5): Very good -
- Maura (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): Lovely location, would be great for a family catch up - Location and layout of property was fabulous, loved the fire and the wood provided to keep it going :) Cosy on a windy weekend Indoor table to eat on would have been good, was too windy to eat outside
- Daly (10/5): We had a great time and will definitely be returning! - I loved the scenery and how quiet the location was. The rooms were beautiful and the fireplace was fantastic. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The dogs were super cute and cuddly.
- Patrick (10/5): We absolutely loved our quiet getaway here and will be back again! - Perfect location for a quiet country getaway. Extremely accommodating owners who were always up for a chat. Awesome facilities complete with spa, tennis court and enough firewood supplied daily to do the evening. Even enjoyed challenging ourselves with the walking tracks! Had fun looking out for all the wildlife and friendly birds (we were even welcome to assist feeding the horses), and for the night there was a smart tv for all the streaming apps. Couldn't find any board games but then again, I didn't check in the common hall area!
- Rebecca (10/5): A hidden treasure indeed - The cabins are beautifully appointed, set in a gorgeously serene locale. The friendly welcome and open invitation to enjoy the walking tracks, shared fire pit and common room, or to just chill out in your own space with the fireplace and spa bath (and great WiFi 👍). Nothing. I loved my stay.
- Kristin (9/5): Beautiful place to unwind and connect with nature -
