• Larissa (6/5): Room for improvements - The studio is located close to supermarkets and the tram stop. There is a nespresso machine in the room and the water pressure of the shower is very good. Cleanliness of the main room was not great, the bathroom was clean however. The mattress is old and concave. You can hear every detail going on in the other rooms. For this price I would have expected better quality.

• Ingrid (5/5): Prima locatie voor een redelijke prijs. Twee sterren. - De locatie is erg goed. De kamer is ruim. Alles is een beetje verouderd maar in redelijke staat. In Genève een redelijke prijs voor locatie en voorzieningen. Bij binnenkomst op mijn kamer hing er een enorme frites-lucht. Ik heb de kamer moeten weigeren, maar er werd onmiddellijk een andere kamer aangeboden.

• Fatih (10/5): I highly recommend here for solo travelers! - I definitely recommend it for those who will stay for a short time. The hotel provided me with a free transportation card during my stay. However, if you are a person who likes to walk, you can go everywhere on foot. So, I would say the location is great. The people at the reception are friendly and very helpful. In the room you can find all the basic items you might need. Sound insulation.

• Analúcia (6/5): Decepcionante - Os funcionários são maravilhosos- recepção e limpeza- e se esforçaram para nos ajudar a subir escadas com as malas e a trocar de quarto. Fora isso e a ótima localização, de bom posso destacar o colchão, a roupa de cama, a chaleira elétrica, a maquina de café e as capsulas de nespresso/cha. A região é muito bem servida de transporte, padarias e restaurantes. O primeiro quarto que nos deram era um horror: escada muito íngreme, corredor escuro, piso velho, mau cheiro (mofo e cigarro). Moveis velhos, cortinas feias, forro com manchas de mofo. Apesar do frio de 0 graus, tivemos que dormir de janela aberta. No dia seguinte pedi para trocar, pois seria impossível ficar lá. A recepcionista nos colocou em um quarto bem melhor, em um outro bloco mais claro, com escada decente e mais iluminado, sem mofo. Apesar de um banheiro bem apertado, lá foi possível ficar com um conforto pelo menos razoável. Todo o hotel precisa ser renovado com urgência.

Sul sito specificava "letto matrimoniale", e invece erano due letti singoli per giunta molto usurati, tenuti insieme dalle lenzuola. Pavimento molto scricchiolante e fastidioso. Pentole, piatti e bicchieri sporchi. Bagno invivibile, muffa nera dappertutto e una puzza insopportabile di chiuso. Non si possono aprire le finestre perché entra il fumo delle sigarette delle persone che stanno al bar di sotto. La vista dalla camera era un edificio dimenticato da Dio e gli ombrelloni del bar di sotto. Non torneremo mai più Super sconsigliato
• Alessandra (10/5): - J’ai passé un excellent séjour à la Résidence Dizerens. L’appart’hôtel est idéalement situé, à deux pas de l’université, ce qui est très pratique. L’accueil a été parfait : chaleureux, professionnel et toujours disponible pour répondre aux questions ou apporter de l’aide. L’ambiance est calme et agréable, on s’y sent vraiment bien.

• Alvaro (9/5): Excellent value for money in Geneva - Comfortable bed, sound insulated from street noise. Perfect location and friendly staff, easy check in process. Only 1 shower towel for 5 days. No toiletries. Some noise from corridor or other rooms, but not unbearable.

Sofa bed was made up for my daughter so we have a 'room' each. It was very hot and no air conditioning (it's ok as didn't expect it and a fan was provided).

Nespresso machine.. microwave oven....also.... supermarkets... restaurants..pharmacy..etc...all very close...2min walk Lugging luggage up the stairs..but they told U beforehand..so was expected..and I was only on the 2nd floor..
• Beverley (8/5): Quiet room with everything necessary, and well connected to the city - The property is quiet (in regards to other guests), and there's not much street noise even though there's a couple of restaurants downstairs. The little kitchen was well equipped. The fan was quiet, lucky since it was a heatwave and it had to be on all night. The staff I never actually met, but were super helpful and quick over messages. Close to public transport, river, university, shops and restaurants. Would have been nice to have the room cleaned just once during the week.

• Raphael (5/5): Not worth it - * The building and the room were old. * The building and the room smelled cold. * The bathroom was dark. Not enough light. * The WIFI did not work properly. I could only. I could only connect to the Internet in certain sports of the room. * To get the hey, I had to pick it up in a box outside of the building, and a code was required to unlock the box. I did not receive the code by email and had to call someone from the hotel to get the box code. * No elevator in the building. * Too expensive given the reasons I mentioned above. You can find better places to stay for the same price.
• Guillaume (1/5): Extremely bad experience. - Extremely bad experience. As mentioned in some other clients' reviews (which I should have read before booking!), this is an old building with, notably, particularly poor soundproofing. Furthermore, the building is accessible day and night without a security code and without a night guard. In the room next to mine, there was no doubt that the occupant was a prostitute (NB prostitution is legal in Geneva). From early evening until dawn, there was a parade of men speaking loudly, the sounds of locks turning, doors slamming, and, of course, the noises and moans associated with such paid encounters. Unable to leave the hotel in the middle of the night, I waited until the next day to cut my stay short. For those who might find the anecdote amusing, go ahead and book a room in this hotel. For others who value their safety and comfort, I strongly recommend thinking twice before making a reservation.

• Laughlan (6/5): Clean good location but if you get any of higher floors difficult to carry luggage - Location Noisy lots of birds walking on the roof all the time need more pillows as the one provided were very bad we were on the 4th floor the stair very narow and steep to carry heavy bags all the way to the 4th floor as no lift
• Gerard (7/5): Good, "no-frills" stay for a fair price. - The hotel was quaint and old. There was no lift, so lugging suitcases up and down the narrow stairwell was a challenge. The location was fine for me, but might not be a big draw to tourists. The bathroom was small, clean and basic. The kitchenette was a definite plus. The lighting was poor. There was no desk or table to work at or solid chair to sit in. The bathroom was cramped and the shower stall was somewhat small.

Friendly staff who man a reception area Sadly no lift, Negatives - noisy because all old stone building so can hear the other flats and street. Smokers under the windows can make the room smoky, but otherwise it was quite clean
• Frances (5/5): Aside from complicated out of hours check in arrangements, the room was functional and adequate. - Location suited my purpose very well. Access to the property is not via the main front door but you have to walk round the corner to a different road, through a courtyard down to the lock box/reception . If checking in out of hours you must call for staff to give you the code to the lock box and get your keys. Only then can you access the building through the back door with a different code.

• Joydeep (9/5): Convenient for the short stays in Geneva - Centrally located just off Plainpalais a stone's throw from the trams along Rue Carouge. The room was a 4th floor walkup with a view, with bathroom and toilet. Very clean and convenient. The reception remains open for a part of the day, and helpfully provided me with the keys. Note: this is a residence only - so no meals. However, there are several restos on Rue Dizerens and along the main roads. A working coffee maker with coffee filters would have been really really convenient.

Loved the little kitchenette. Didn’t use it but loved having plates when I brought home takeaway. I loved everything about this place except that it had no air conditioning, which made sleeping a little uncomfortable. I didn’t realize Geneva would be so warm and while opening the window was fine most of the time and it was beautiful, just know before you go, the room can get warm and there’s no way to cool it other than the window.

The first room smelled of cigarette and the host very promptly changed my room, I appreciated that. I also appreciated they arranged for early check in. - I was on a business trip and I needed to work, but the internet was on and off making my work very difficult (impossible at times). The bad internet is a big issue for clients on business trips (super important to address). Setting expectations on the website or at the moment of booking: - It should be made clear there are no elevators in this hotel. My luggage was very heavy and I had to go to the 4th floor and I have a fragile back (super important to make clear) - for travelers with long hair, it should be made clear that we need to bring our own shampoo and conditioner (less important, minor issue)
• Andrea (9/5): Business stay in Plainpalais - Room was larger than I expected and it had a kitchenette, basic cooking tools, a complete bathroom (toilet and shower), a closet, a small table and tv. Location is also in a good part of Geneva. Bed is really huge for one person. Staff replied very quickly especially on off hours (weekends) on WhatsApp. The hotel has an old charm but it's just perfect especially if you're staying for business. Plenty of food choices in the area, very close to tram station that connects to the main train station and the city. The yellow light, my side of the building was facing the street so the windows had to be shut to block the noise therefore there's no natural light. The stairs are spiral and narrow so you have to be prepared to carry heavy luggage. The iron and hair dryer can be improved but already very happy that they have these included.

• Lauren (9/5): A no frills, well-located comfortable spot for those spending a few days exploring Geneva. - This hotel was very easy to get to via public transit. We received clear directions from the team and really appreciated the communication. Pricing was higher than usual for the weekend when we were traveling which was a bit frustrating. This may have been due to demand in the city though.

• Silvia (7/5): Good - The location is very good and close to many tram and bus lines. The room was a bit old but quite big and will all the necessary amenities. It is a very good deal for its price. The bed was not the most comfortable and the room was not very well isolated so I could hear my neighbors and the noise from the entrance quite loudly, which made it sometimes difficult to sleep.
