Guest Reviews
- Alana (8/5): We were happy with the stay - Apartment was clean and well maintained and as expected for the price. The location was good and it was easily accessible. My only negative was that the pillows were very uncomfortable, but I didn't bother to follow this up with the property as we were only there for a short time
- Ken (8/5): Thank you - Great bed. Good facilities Could have been more changes in Tea towels, Bath towels. I had to buy Toilet paper from the convenience store as there was only 2 rolls in the unit.
Shower was disappointing.
- Guest (7/5): -
- Craig (8/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay - Very comfortable and suited our purpose Nothing
- Greg - Sydney (9/5): A great place to stay in Strahan - Easy to find in the main street of Strahan. A shop and takeaway in the same place, also a laundry.
An easy walk to the main attractions in Strahan along the path. I walked to the ferry and theatre. A short drive to Hogarth Falls and the train.
The bed was very comfortable and all needed utensils and facilities were available in the rooms. All good
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): - Convenient to everything in Strahan Very clean well appointed
- Narelle (9/5): - Very nice & clean
Shower was awesome.
- Elaine (9/5): Our stay was very good, with the location close to facilities, the local theatre, shops and eateries - Location handy to everything, unit very clean, bed comfortable, kitchen well stocked for the stay. Shower very good with handrail that was of much use for elderly people. The cabin had a warm friendly feel about it, even though it was quite small, but adequate for the occasion. What's not to like?
- Charles (8/5): -
- trudy (8/5): - Location very good, pretty walk to the harbour Taps & showerhead need replacing as do most of flyscreens, curtains & rods need repairs. Bath towels too small & thin.
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Theresa (7/5): We liked our accomodation. It was old but had all the basics you need - Close to food and laundry facilities
- Ken (8/5): -
- Dorothy (8/5): A charming place of refuge enabling us to relax and recharge after a cold, wet walk. - Comfortable, warm and spacious. We arrived wet and cold from a walk and there was plenty of space to dry everything. It was a welcome refuge from the elements. The campground laundry was just across the road. The road outside was quite busy.
- Campi (7/5): -
- Kay (9/5): A comfortable cottage for a short stay. - Directly opposite a shop, laundry, grog shop and a flat walking distance to town. Having your own cabin with kitchen facilities was great. The 3 o’clock check in.
- David (8/5): Comfortable and clean - Location was good, short drive from town but had facilities and shop over the road Nothing
- Mark (9/5): -
- Lynise (8/5): -
- BARB (9/5): Kitty's a plus - Clean, comfortable room. All good!
- Bob (8/5): Very good - Character of the unit Bedside light didn’t work
- Kevin (7/5): Comfortable bed, well appointed kitchenette, excellent shower with decent water pressure. - Wheel chair access, although the door between the bedroom and living space didn't work well with the bathroom access.
Close to the main tourist street. Guest laundry facilities just across the road. Kitchenette facilities were well thought out.
- Philip (7/5): - Independent unit - not a cloned minimalist cabin dongar. No parking for our unit.
- Jason (7/5): - Location, shop across the road. There was a noise coming from the master bedroom wall / roofspace, maybe a bird or rodent !
- Glenn (6/5): -
- helen (9/5): - location, cleaness
- Andrew (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Strahan and the accommodation was a very good standard - The cabin was exactly what we needed at Strahan well located within the town. Clean and tidy very comfortable bed We were the closest cabin to the road and there was a lot of road noise by vehicles going to the Cafe across the road from very early in the morning
- Sharon (10/5): We loved our stay! And the reception staff was amazing! - It’s cosy nature The front door lock!
- Markus (9/5): - Sensationelle Hütte.
Einkaufsgelegenheit gegenüber mit 1a Personal. WiFi nicht immer gut.
- Kylie (6/5): Lovely little cottage. - Good location. Safe parking. Very clean inside. Washing machine and dryer inside unit would make it perfect for travelling families.
- Elisabeth (8/5): Good basic cottage in lovely Strahan - Slightly dated but comfortable holiday cottage, part of a larger holiday park which includes camp sites and a trailer park. There’s a small very basic kitchenette, large comfortable bed, pull out sofa, free parking right next to the place. Town centre (with cafés, shops, the docks for Gordon River cruises, etc) is a 20 minute walk away along the water. Strahan is worth a visit: There’s an amazing adventure playground on the way into town and don’t miss the chance to see “The Ship that Never Was”, Australia’s longest running theatre show, every night all summer. The food trailer at the harbour serves the best fish and chips in Australia - prove me wrong. :) It was a little dated and dusty with a weird musty smell and there wasn’t enough bedding for the couch. The lady at reception was efficient but could have been friendlier.
- Lisa (8/5): -
- Snehal (8/5): Good place to stay - Good location. Clean. Friendly staff. Parking was a bit tight in the space
- TERRY (9/5): -
- Wilsyn (8/5): -
- Samrat (8/5): Lacks basic amenities (like cloth hangers) -
- Cashion (9/5): -
- Nathan (9/5): -
- Terrie (8/5): -
- adrian (10/5): - Great location, well equipped, lovely large bathroom and nature walk and information centre very good on site.
- Arlene (8/5): Good spot to stay when doing the Gordon River Cruise. - A clean, convenient place to stay while exploring the west coast. Takeaway food and bottle shop across the road - very convenient.
- Stephen (10/5): - Everything was excellent
- Stevenson (10/5): - Cosy, easy parking and convenient cafe. Great place to stay in Strahan.
- Brendy (8/5): -
- Claire (7/5): Clean and spacious with minor issues - All the basics were provided. Appliances appear to be new. There was a bedside light but no PowerPoint for it and in the other room no bedside table and the small lights didn’t work.
- David (10/5): - *********
- Leanne (10/5): Cute place, friendly and great price thanks 🙏🏻 - Great location had everything we needed for our stay .

- Dianne (10/5): -
- Hassett (8/5): -
- Dallas 1 (9/5): - Handy spot for basing ourselves.
- Christine (8/5): Great location and nice and quite - Location and staff wonderful The stairs a dangerous, our friend fell down the narrow stairs and very slippery with the carpet.
- Geoffrey Robson (8/5): Large well managed cabin. - Quiet location.
Efficient and helpful reception and check-in.
ATM, laundrette & takeaway across the road. Large well laid out cabin. All good.
- Emma (8/5): Great family stay - These cabins belong to Big 4 but they are across the road from the main park - which means we didn't get any of the caravan park noise. The cabin was spacious and very clean with cooking facilities (stove top and microwave). Beds were comfortable with a selection of pillows and the kids enjoyed staying in their own room. There is a takeaway shop across the road that looks basic but does great pizza - a fantastic alternative to the restaurants on the waterfront. Heating was a little ineffective - it struggled to cover the entire cabin
- Francis (5/5): -
- maxwell (9/5): Enjoyable - Clean plenty of room Internet connection was terrible
- Linda (8/5): Comfortable and convenient - Comfortable and warm. Well equipped kitchen, everything in good condition. Great shower, unfortunately minimal toiletries. Very busy with the takeaway right across the street. Sometimes noisy and people park across the driveway. Parking for unit was right next to the street.
- Bev (5/5): - The woman that checked us in was rude and complained about us booking through this site. It would be better if she was not in a front line position.
- June (8/5): Great, quiet & very comfy - Roomy & self contained with good easy parking out front (U4) Shower access a little awkward (step up/out of spa)
- Paul (9/5): See above - Returning guest previously very satisfied and not disappointed this time. Very good value. For this tariff, I don’t expect any more. Very good value.
Nothing to dislike.
- nadia (8/5): - Great location and lovely and clean. Had all we needed
- Cheryl (10/5): Cosy while storm hit and heavy rainfall. - Neat functional clean. Electric blanket was very nice. Television was good. Pair of scissors would useful in the kitchen.
- Gary (8/5): The accommodation was good. - Location was good. Beds comfortable. Cold in single beds bedroom. Would have liked to take up rooms at 2 pm maybe should have insisted instead of waiting around in Strahan.
- Deb (8/5): Great accomodation ,clean , all you need - Extremely comfortable Nothing
- Anne-Maree (9/5): - All good.
- Emma (8/5): - The location was excellent and value for money however the property and buildings need a lot of work gutters needed cleaning out it could use a re fresh however for the price and location it was okay, beds were comfy, heater worked well, WiFi was slow my husband couldn't connect to it, plenty of room, molly's shop across the road was brilliant there was also a bottle shop and atm across the road, overall it had everything we needed but it could use a refresh we would stay again if in the area. The towels need an upgrade and the grout in the shower needed a clean cups were also in need of an upgrade needed to clean before making a coffee however that was the only downfall.
- Fiona (9/5): Peaceful, clean and pleasant - Very clean and plenty of space in our unit. Bed was comfortable and shower pressure was great. Location was fantastic with convenience store across the road.

- Ray (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (7/5): Good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Baier (10/5): 3 day stay close to everything and value for money - This place is amazing and great value for money
- Letitia (5/5): You get what you pay gorc - Location good , over road from shop , bottle store Bed was so hard , linen rough
- Miles (8/5): Very good - Property was clean and as expected. Staff were friendly would stay again
- Valerie (8/5): Strachan Stay - The location was good. the parking was too small + awkward to navigate.
the verandah needed a gd wipe over, espically the beams.
we had 2 wait till after 3pm 2 get in. it was really cold day.
the Manager did explain they were short of cleaner's,.but that doesn't, help people,s arrival time.
espically for the elderly .
- Emily (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (9/5): Superb - Good location close to everything. The cottage was clean, modern facilities and comfortable bed. Everything we needed for our stay. Parking at the door. Would have been helpful to have an ironing board.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good - Really lovely caravan park and a short drive to great restaurants and wilderness cruises Lugging suitcases upstairs to the bedrooms
- Maree (4/5): Disappointing - Location was terrible. We got no sleep due to people outside up talking all night, cars coming and going all hours of the night and headlights shining through the windows. Cottage itself neat and tidy but would not stay again sorry. The soap dispenser in the bathroom did not work nor did the light above the mirror. We had no key to unlock sliding door for fresh air. As above
- Smith (8/5): Very good - Great location, plenty of room
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect location and well laid out for a family - Great location, nicely sized for a family That we weren’t able to stay longer!
- Maree (8/5): Very good -

2 were very hard and one other needed replacing
- Frances (8/5): Great location and easy access to Gordon River cruises. - Location was great, upstairs loft with queen size bed was wonderful.
- Renata (8/5): Enjoyable - Not on one level.
- Garry (8/5): Very good - It was clean and comfortable The car parking was terrible.
- Tim (10/5): Spacious one bedroom accommodationsh - Enjoyed the spacious rooms, bathroom. Did not have scissors or a cutting knife besides a bread knife.
- Dianne (9/5): suited our needs for the short stay -
- Elias (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerry (9/5): Superb -
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Weatherman (7/5): Good - Convenient to everything. Shower stall too small and water temperature kept fluctuating.
