• Ann (10/5): A Gem - Idyllic location. A contrast to the hustle and bustle of Venice. Lovely and peaceful, earthy! Check out at 10 am. I would have liked the opportunity to leave my luggage and cycle around the island after breakfast for an hour but, my request wasn't accommodated .

Très à l’écoute nous sommes arrivés le soir, nous n’avions pas mangé il nous a fais un sandwich ! Le calme de l’île, c’est reposant et très beau. L’emplacement, il faut prendre le bateau afin de s’y rendre. Si vous avez un vol très tôt le matin comme nous avons eu, c’est très compliqué ! Nous avons dû prendre un hôtel de secours. Attention, vous n’avez rien pour vous restaurer sur l’île donc penser à manger avant.

A partire dal piacevole tratto in vaporetto per raggiungerla, la camminata dalla fermata all'agriturismo fra campi coltivati e piccole aziende agricole, l'arrivo all'antica casa di famiglia ristrutturata con fatica e tanto amore. Tutto è curato nei dettagli dai proprietari, una coppia gentilissima e cordiale: La camera, la colazione deliziosa con molti prodotti locali e fatti in casa. Il nostro desiderio è di tornare!

E' uno dei miei posti preferiti in assoluto per visitare Venezia e stare nello stesso tempo in un luogo di pace.

• Stephan (9/5): Grün und ruhig nahe Venedig - Sehr neue, sehr saubere Zimmer. Hochweriger, europäischer Standard. Bett, Bad und Klimaanlage einwandfrei. Frühstück wirklich gut, sehr nette Gastgeber. Fahrräder sahen ebenfalls gut aus (wurden nicht benutzt). Die Lage mitten im Grünen ist sehr erholsam. WLAN okay; genügt zum Arbeiten, aber nicht zum Streamen. Mobilfunkempfang teils nicht vorhanden. Die Schotterwege, die letzten 50 Meter vor der Unterkunft sind für alle, die mit Rollkoffer anreisen eine Zumutung. Das haben die Nachbarn besser gelöst. Einfache Betonplatten würden hier allen Gästen das Leben erleichtern. Auch sollte irgendwo vermerkt werden, dass der Türcode, den man via Booking erhält nicht aktuell ist. Wir mussten vor Ort anrufen, dann war der Vermieter auch gleich zur Stelle mit richtigem Code.

It is better to get off the ferry at S.Erasmo Chiesa, only 10 mins walk to the property. I just needed to bring an insect repellent.

The room lacked a little bit of character, but that’s the only fault I can think of. Everything else was perfect.

I recommend going for a bike ride around the mini-island where the hotel is located. The location was quite far from the city center, but if you check the boat schedule and are not in a hurry, it's not such a big deal.

The breakfast was the best we have ever had, everyday something fresh and new! Being able to use the bikes was very useful for getting around the island. Simple but sophisticated at the same time. Humble with taste to detail. Clean & calm. A wonderful experience on background of Agritourism. We bought some spices and biscuits, all home-made. There were just ... exceptional again. Dorietta and her husband are very friendly and lovely people. Breakfast is exceptional too; all food is home made and very tasty. Completely unexpected in a very different environment. I would certainly recommend it 1000 % ! Really my best experience on Booking.com Absolutely nothing ! Everything was so perfect !
• Sophy (10/5): A hidden gem - It locates in Sant’ Erasmo, a beautiful farmland island away from the crowds, quiet, peaceful and healing. The hotel is located between the 2 ferry ports, 15 min walk from each, I enjoyed the walk everyday and appreciate the farmland scenery. They provided bicycles for guests to explore around. • Jaci (10/5): Picturesque - The island is stunning! An oasis escape from the tourists of Venice but a quick boat ride to all of the main islands. The bikes were amazing for getting to and from the boat, but also for exploring the island. The breakfast was also a stand out, the best we had in Italy! Getting our luggage from the boat to the accommodation was a bit tricky. Thankfully the manager was able to help us transport it back to the boat at the end of our stay.

Really lovely hosts, little bit of a language barrier but there was a heap of information in the room guide. The home cooked breakfast was sensational! A choice between a savoury or sweet, both were delicious. Bikes were provided so you can explore the island and get to the ferry easily. Venice is very busy, getting to come back to such a serene island after a day there was honestly magic. Cannot recommend highly enough, would stay again in a heartbeat. And to top it off, the host drove our luggage down to the ferry when we had to leave. Very nice of him, wonderful accomodation in general.

Out of this world amazing hospitality, Paolo was waiting for us on the back street way as we arrived, was always available per whatsapp if we had any requests or questions if he wasn't around. Morning Breakfast's was delicious and sweet. We were given 2 bicycles to roam the island ( Beautiful ) and use the bikes to get to the public boat stop which is only a 5 min ride. The island is pretty much only 10-15min away by boat of course to every other island. A nice little shop just 4 min away by bike. Just remember to buy insect spray for the mosquitoes that come out around 19:30 :D We give Basego a 12/10 rating.

Breakfast specially made for us, eaten outside, was just out of this world. Lastly - the story behind this place is something different. I find it really touching. You have to read it, there is no other option. The story can be found in the guide placed in every room. I highly recommend this spot. Literally nothing.

The island itself was a lovely quiet agricultural oasis. The breakfast was amazing, delicious, ample, prepared with care, healthy, and beautifully presented. • Paivi (10/5): A perfect oasis on Sant Erasmo Island in Venice - Agritirismo Basego was a perfect oasis on Sant Erasmo island, an easy 30 min vaporetto ride ( number 13) from Venice. The locale was gorgeous, from a beautiful garden inside to an immaculate Spacious room with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was the best I have ever eaten ( no exaggeration) you will just have to try to believe it. You are given a bike to use to get around. I did am early morning ride around the island and it was lovely. I saw storks and multiple other birds. the location is an easy 15 min walk from the ferry terminal. The owners were lovely and super helpful with everything. I can’t wait to return. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
• Allana (10/5): Beautiful stay in a quiet area of Venice! - The property was clean, comfortable and quiet. Sant Erasmo was such a peaceful escape from the heat and tourism heavy main islands of Venice. We rode the provided bicycles around the island - it was a lovely experience. Breakfast was excellent - I got savoury and my husband got the sweet, but we shared them both. The owners of the property were very lovely and communication was great (initially they contacted us via WhatsApp). Suggestions: You need to take line 13 Vaporetto to Sant Erasmo (maps provided online and also at Basego) so it might be worth buying a multi-day pass - we did. To get to the airport (Marco Polo) after our stay, we caught line 13 to Murano Faro stop, walked 10min or so to Murano Colonna, then caught the Alilaguna ‘B’ to the airport (€8). The ticket office at Murano Colonna was only open from 10am or so, so we pre bought the tickets the day before. It was all very straightforward and everything seemed to run on time! We didn’t explore if there were any dinner venues on the island. We decided to have large meals later in the day on San Marco and only have a few snacks back at the venue. The owners provided a fridge in the breakfast area with a tub for each room to use if needed. Mosquitoes were around in the evenings and we forgot to bring mosquito repellent! I didn’t get to ask the owners if they had some, they may have. But keep this in mind if you are travelling in Summer months!

We didn't speak perfect English or Italian, but the owners were polite and communicated with us. The breakfast upon waking up is excellent. It was very tasty and wonderful. We wished we could have spent more time here, even though this was a short stay. nothing.

• Mary (9/5): Our stay as a family was short and sweet. - Breakfast set up was so nice as weather was great we had it outside the front garden.The male host was so nice and accommodating trying his best to communicate with us as we don't speak Italian. Accommodation location was around 800 meters walk from Capannone Port , host offered to bring our luggages by a car to and fro while we walk. We were also able to enjoy the island through their complimentary bikes and we loved it. We loved the ambiance of the place away from the hustle bustle of Venice City.The place was a good choice as we just completed a 7 night Greek Isles Cruise before heading back to Ireland. Fantastic Experience overall. Air-conditioning in both rooms we occupied did not work overnight due to energy problem as the host said.Although we had an option to open the windows to make the room cooler. There was also a miscommunication about my booking as I mistakenly opted for 3 adults booking and did not include my 11 yr old son.I just added 20 euros for additional cost as we occupied 2 double beds. The accommodation was more than worth the money we paid tho.Kudos to the owner.

Everything looks brand new (the house is old, but clearly renovated very recently), place was clean, everything functional and clear. And the couple taking care of the place are very lovely! They make their own salt with herbs there which tastes amazing (they actually own a herb-farm next to the place). The location is actually great, but a bit remote (very calm!), on a separate island than the one Venice is on. You can easily take the boat from and to Venice which runs till late at night - a 48h boat ticket cost 35€. It's a BnB so the concept is you eat out, but having a small kitchen could have been nice.
