Guest Reviews
- melissa (6/5): - Bed, was super big and comfy, had fresh fruit, large bag of chips, tea, coffee cereal and normal TP. I was on the ground floor, and it has a boardwalk around it, so could always hear when people were walking past.
- Nigel (8/5): -
- Valerie (8/5): good value for a short stay if your looking for a rest spot to base your adventures from. - I arrived at 7.00pm with no food so the proximity to restaurants was handy and the breakfast cereal was a very welcome addition as I had an early start in the morning. the room was clean and fit for my needs. I am 180cm tall and 115kg, so I found the width of the toilet area a bit tight, I had to keep my knees close together to avoid touching the walls.
- april (7/5): value for money and close to airport - location great .close to shops and eating no sign on the lock box to show unit number or name
- nigel (8/5): - Very helpful staff
- DARLEEN S (6/5): Pleasant enough for the price - It’s pleasant enough The renovation noise next door ,crying baby is a bit much here and there
- MALCOLM (6/5): -
- Louise (9/5): -
- Lesley (1/5): - Owners were understanding. It was filthy.
- Tartaglia (10/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Annette (8/5): Absolutely petfect for my stay, clean comfortable and walking distance to a coffee shop. - Very comfortable, clean and cosy. Absolutely the best bed! Great location close to village, coffee shops and markets. Room and bathroom is small. Not a problem for me but could be for someone with mobility issues.
- Ramandeep (6/5): -
- Brendon (3/5): -
- Zak (3/5): Highly recommend cleaning the place up abit - Location Bugs

- Megan (7/5): Clean and accessible, breakfast provided is a great bonus, fantastic location near the Parap markets. - Good location, good value for money. Very clean, very comfy bed and a silent air conditioner (very unusual in hotels!).
Had to change our booking date to avoid the Cyclone, owner was very helpful and flexible in allowing this.
While this is a fairly “dated” facility, it is very clean and well maintained, good value for money for Darwin. Very convenient if you want to go to Parap markets on a Saturday. The sliding door separating the bathroom from the bedroom is really noisy, rattles open and closed, no way to do this quietly. Could do with some different rollers perhaps?
- Eric (5/5): -
- Mark (9/5): - Great spot in a quiet area with easy access to PT Bathroom was very small as was the apartment but it packed in the features.
Would be great for a solo traveller

- Jonathan (1/5): Casa on Gregory after being shown a room, was less cluttered and a better layout with the right.“utensils” - Location only Nothing like the photo at all. The so called kitchen area. The closest had a shelf or two added to accommodate a microwave, toaster and lamp. Now where to put your clothes??? Ah a rack with one coat hanger. They had an iron board but no iron.
Back to the kitchen, no bread or chopping board, only one blunt steak knife, no pairing or sharp knife.
The ceiling fan had only one speed and was very noisy. ( The guest log in the room. Recorded the same issues back in 2023. They don’t care I guess, as nothing changed.
You definitely would not want to be an overweight person, you would struggle to use the toilet. Maybe fire rescue would be called.
This property appears to have several private owners, and can be confusing. Some residents, whether owners, renters or whatever. There is nobody in attendance or even if there was they would have trouble policing. People were smoking where a non-smoking sign was. Talking and swearing loudly at 2:30am. I asked them to please call it a night and take their conversation elsewhere.
A separate owner of 10 other units, CASA on Gregory, were kind enough to loan me an iron and a few hangers.
- Margo (8/5): Clean, nicely decorated and excellent location. - Great access to Parap markets, a good Indian restaurant nearby, and a reasonable walk to other facilities. Very compact and some damp.
- Kate (8/5): -
- Joanne (6/5): -
- Linda (5/5): Bali studio stsy - It felt like it was a room that didn't belong anywere Location cleanliness , tired essbal8 studio
- Richard (6/5): Handy and comfy place to get a night or two good sleep at start/end of a Darwin visit. - Very convenient location for airport.
Good one or two night stopover at start or end of a trip to Darwin region.
Big comfy bed. Really is very small! Only comfortable for a night or two. Was a bit worried about the fridge/freezer in a cupboard!
- Natalie (9/5): I would stay there again. Was a great place. - The location was close to the airport. There were some shops to explore around the corner and the bottleshop was close by. Bed was really comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was a bonus and room was quite after 8.30pm. The only thing I didnt like was how tiny the bathroom was but overall very happy.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Everything quiet had pool all too myself which is nice now and then
Especially when you want to get away from your home city just for awhile 🥰
- Terence (10/5): Exceptional - Great place bottles of drinking water and also breakfast cereral supplied very impressive great place
- Tom (9/5): Great location, huge comfortable bed with quality cotten sheets and linen, easy access and check in - Appreciated the fresh fruit, breakfast cereal and milk in the fridge More coat hangers!
- Dugdale (9/5): Great value, great location, I would definitely stay again - The room was small but very well equipped, and had an outlook onto a small but pretty garden. Fresh crisp white sheets, lamps by the bed, set up for tea and coffee (instant) It was hard to find as it’s called the Bali Studio, but the complex is called Casa something, and the street number is not obvious at the front so I walked up and down before I located it
- Ashby (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (8/5): friendly staff and close to good cafes - I didn't know that breakfast was included and it was a nice surprise. Clean and comfortable and close to shops and Saturday markets. na
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Kaye (7/5): it was OK but I wont be going back. - breakfast was very basic. Cereal( in large glass jars....Unsure of freshness and hygeine) and long life milk only and some apples and bananas were in room on arrival.
Close to Parap markets. Great cafe across the road
Room was quite old and run down but clean and bed was comfortable. Fan did not work properly. Several lights did not work and the fittings were dodgy.
- Angelin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeggo (9/5): Superb - Had everything I needed for overnight stay. The room is not massive, but for a single or couple, it's fine.
- David (7/5): It served its purpose and was comfortable if tiny - Centrally located for my purposes Some of the lights didn’t work and the bathroom was TINY!
- Heather (8/5): Great little apartment, ideal for overnight stay. - Great location, price. Ideal for short stop over between flights 👍👏 😊😂man strutting outside in laptop 5.40 am lights all on and birds must have thought it was daylight all tweeting away & it was still pitch black 😂😂😂💤💤
- Jo (7/5): Comfortable for a short stay. - The location is good. The bathroom is very small.
- Odina (8/5): I hope one day when I come back to darwin I am going to sleep again 😁😁 -
- Shayne (10/5): Why book a room when you can have a little piece of paradise… - The room is nicely decorated. The owner has made special little touches like providing fresh fruit and cereals. I had the most delicious crisp apples during my stay.. The bed is very comfortable. A king deluxe. Big pillows, not those one’s that go flat within a moment of putting your head down.
There’s is a beautiful oasis pool to enjoy and lush tropical gardens.
I throughly enjoyed my stay and I look forward to returning.
Thank you for making the room a home away from home. Nothing at all.
- Aileen (5/5): Passable -
- Westcott (9/5): Superb - Clean and relaxed
- Westcott (9/5): Superb -
- Leann (3/5): Would not stay here again. - It was moderately clean It smelled strongly of mold and was very tired and not a great location or vibe. Not good.
- Don (8/5): Very good -
- Darleen (7/5): Good -
- Mary (5/5): Great location. Good interaction with managers leading up to stay. - Location Very small. Inadequate separation between bathroom and main area

- Darleen (8/5): Very good -
- Ethan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (8/5): Very good - Great get me a weekly rate. all good.
- Shaun (9/5): Superb -
- Tonia (3/5): Spend a little more and stay someowhere else. - The small pool was ok but needs maintenance 1. the toilet is so narrow you can barely wipe your b*m! (we are not huge!)
2. the kitchenette area needs a thorough clean.
3. the photos are deceptive the room is way smaller than portrayed in the photo's
4. the shower/bathroom needs a thorough clean
5. the TV remote only works to turn on the TV and the Foxtel box has only 2 watchable channels
6. lastly the location is not somewhere we felt safe at all, especially when we noticed the provision of mobile police monitoring cameras just around the corner. The pub (only place for meals) had 4 security guards permantly busy.
- Wilson (7/5): It was an accomodation emergency and they were more then happy to help and bend over backwards to help us. - Cozy. Friendly helpful staff. The pool. Cosy and quiet. Not to far from the city. Close to the beach
- Duncan (8/5): Great I’ll stay there again - The Hand of bananas left for me was a pleasant introduction to the tropics The ceiling fan only works on flat out and it was noisy
- Darleen (7/5): Good -
- Darleen (7/5): Good -
- Sakeasi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (7/5): Good -
- John (8/5): Very good - A quaint and quiet property, very clean and comfortable.
- Harriet (4/5): Disappointing - The room was not clean - there was hair on the sink and floor in the bathroom. The fruit was dusty and not fresh. Some of the furniture was broken. Easy after hours check-in. Great location. Much too expensive for the quality.
- Hugo (7/5): Good - Location Facilities tired, lights not working, mouldy sheets.
- Charlyz83 (7/5): Great short stay option - Unit is secure is in a quiet and secure complex. Parking right out front. Easy self check in. Small bathroom but still practical.
- Aron (8/5): Very good -
- Neal (5/5): Fair accommodation if a rating of 5 means Fair - I like that I only stayed for one night. Many cable TV channels. Not located near the airport and few options for meals other than UberEats, VERY small apartment and couldn't imagine 2 people staying there. Never had contact with host..no hosts are around. The area (Parap) is not a place you ever want to go if can be avoided. In Booking.com's world a 5 means Fair. This place was barely Fair.
- Sarinah (10/5): Great way to spend the day/night before our 1am flight home! - Everything! So cozy, Foxtel, great bed, secure, roomy Na
- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (9/5): Relaxed - Comfy close to parap market/shops Small toilet hard to find building had different name on the sign.
- Geoffrey (6/5): Pleasant - For an overnight it fit the bill. Clean but small.
- Kate (8/5): Lovely short stay for two nights - Comfy king size bed
Great location
Basic food supplied, milk cereal fruit chocolates
Location Very small bathroom area
Fan only worked in one speed - fast
- Christine (10/5): Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. - Great location. Near airport and buses easy to access. Breakfast muesli was delicious and appreciated the fresh fruit and snacks. Loved it. Small studio, but has everything you need.
- Peter (9/5): Really nice atmosphere - Everything there and more Snacks and nic knacks
- Louise (9/5): Sensational - The room. The cleanliness. The fresh fruit. The attention to detail. The location. Very happy 🤩🤩🤩
Stay there again in a heartbeat. Super happy🤩🤩🤩 The bathroom light didn't work
- David (8/5): Very good - Very well presented
Had everything you could need
- Jason (5/5): Good to get away - Ok Small room
- Tia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Good - The room was very small, smaller than expected. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small. The worse thing was the glass sliding door to the bathroom.
- Yolanda (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable
Convenient
Thank you
- Kyrie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Sam (6/5): Ok - We thought it was an apartment but was just a room. Said it had a washing machine in room but nothing Bed was comfy and foxtel
- Len (8/5): Very good - basic breakfast but located centrally room size
- Weilan (10/5): Comfortable - Nice clean , very convenient location
- Green (9/5): Superb - The room looked basic from the outside, but inside, it was surprisingly modern with a Balinese edge to the furniture. Very well appointed. The Manager-Jennifer- was extremely accommodating and helpful. Very much appreciated! I will recommend this property to others.
- Katso (7/5): Good - Cute room
Comfortable Bed with fresh Linen
Bottled water A+
Condiments were appreciated
Owner very nice and helpful
Shower was great
Bathroom Towels were soft and large Bathroom small, very tight for my big hubby
Bathroom Door definitely needs a change
2x Facewash would be good, just like a hotel room please, to compliment the great fluffy towels.
Otherwise room and location was great
- Leia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Annemieke (6/5): Pleasant - The photos seem to show a studio set up whereas in reality it is a room with a wardrobe that has been converted to take in a fridge etc. Can't swing a cat in the bathroom. I was hoping to do some work but this proved almost impossible given the confined space.
- Peter (7/5): Cheap alternative to a hotel - Basic but clean, cheap, location superb The building itself looks a bit ratty on the outside but is still neat.
- Philip (10/5): Boutique accommodation offering a different and more enjoyable stay than a standard motel. - Excellent location next to Parap markets and close to public transport. The room was comfortable and laid out nicely with nice fittings (not standard motel stuff!). Also a welcome plate of fresh fruit and a collection of second hand books, believe it or not.
There is also a swimming pool, laundry, communal kitchen and a nice courtyard area.
Not an average motel but something a bit different. Really enjoyed my stay and strongly recommend. There wasn't anything to dislike. A very minor point - possibly a leaflet showing where the pool/laundry/coomunal kitchen is?
- Owens (5/5): Passable -
- Gavon (9/5): Superb - Location A little bit disorganised but no big deal
- Mitchell (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Great place to stay- highly recommend - Room was really clean and tidy and a really enjoyable place to stay. Breakfast provisions were provided which was a nice touch. Booking and communication throughout was great. highly recommend staying here.
Good Wifi. Bed was super comfy. Overall Homely Feel. non secured parking - no issues however during my stay.
