Schöne Räumlichkeiten in meiner Suite mit einem großen Balkon. Kleine Küchenzeile mit MW - praktisch, da das Hotel über kein Restaurant verfügt, und nur morgens Frühstück anbietet. Für mich war das aber perfekt so. Der Fußboden, insbesondere das Badezimmer muss sauberer sein. Das hat nicht zu dem Rest des Hauses gepasst. Die Reinigung der Toiletten war extrem mangelhaft...Toilettenpapier offenbar Mangelware. Das Personal ist insgesamt zwar nett, aber nicht wirklich professionell. All das zusammen, lässt den Preis der Suite zu hoch erscheinen.

• russell (10/5): Calm oasis in frenetic city - This residence/hotel is a real oasis on the edge of the bustling, frenetic city of Cairo. The property was just right for our family group of eight travellers: grandparents, parents and three teenage young ladies. The ream there were super friendly. Cold swimming pool - but is was February!!

We wilde s avonds wat drinken in de bar en dan moest je echt op zoek naar personeel. De ontbijtzaal was wat donker en ongezellig. De verlichting aanzetten zou het al stuk gezelliger maken.

• 674narendrab (10/5): Aa wonderful stay at Maran Residence - Maran Residence is a very good option for anyone who prefers a quiet place, families that love more space than the standard hotel room. It is located in a premium New Cairo location fairly close to the airport and 10-15 min further from most of the tourist attractions than the city hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean with good ambience. Great neighbourhood to go on morning/evening walks. And most importantly, the staff leave no stone unturned for enhancing the guest experience. The multi skilled front office manager Fady Gerges was truly amazing and most helpful. The microwave and the cutlery are also a godsend for people with food restrictions (eg. Vegetarians) as one can order in (and heat the food) or heat up some ready-to- eat food. In summary - highly recommended.
• Kai (10/5): Fabulous stay at a wonderful place, highly recommended - We stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved this place. Our room was amazing - huge, clean, comfortable beds, and good facilities. The front staff were so lovely - professional, polite, attentive, but always very genuine too. They helped with everything. Hotel facilities were great, we made use of the gym, pool (cold at this time of year, but very refreshing!). Breakfasts were nice - you can order from a choice of 3 set breakfasts or construct your own. Although the restaurant doesn’t serve lunch or dinner you can order outside food to the hotel and the staff helped get it to our room. They even made us a bespoke breakfast the night before our departure as we had to leave early in the morning for our flight home. Just an amazing place and experience all round and we cannot recommend it highly enough! Thank you Maran team! There were always one or two of our ordered breakfast items that were omitted, but we didn’t really mind as what we got was still plentiful and enjoyable
• russell (10/5): Like our own little palace! - The Maran Residence was a wonderful, calm, immaculate haven in the midst of the wonderful, frenetic, rapidly expanding city that is Cairo. Driving into the elegant enclave of magnificent houses, protected from the noise, ‘hussle and bussel’ of the area, was a real boost to our energy after the journey up from Luxor with three teenage girls, two grandparents and three adults. A warm bright and cheery welcome from the team; help with our bags, introduction to our rooms(including an upgrade!) and a tour of the facilities. The rooms were immaculate; spacious, pristine clean with great beds and linen. The general areas were large, imposing and light, leading through the dining room to a near outdoor seating area with a small pool(cold!) and jacuzzi. We had great breakfasts with lots of choice and eat in one night in the dining room utilising ‘home delivery’ - very easy! Taxis(Uber we used) was easy to find and although we were some way out of the city centre it was fast and well connected to get to the Pyramids, GEM, downtown and Cairo International. We would highly recommend Maran Residence and will stay there again for our next visit. Leaving it!!

• Simon (7/5): Worth considering as place to stay in Cairo - The Maran is a good place to stay. It is a Residence - with rooms/suites, a pool, small bar, breakfast area and pool. 24 hour reception. It's location in New Cairo looks a little bit away from the main sites (e.g. Giza) but in practice was manageable (circa 40 mins). It is in a recent development and the facilities in the room are modern. It is a 15/20 minute walk from Downtown (5 minutes by Uber) which has a good range of upmarket shops and eating places and restaurants (particularly Jouzoor - Palestinian restaurant). It is welcoming and service is good. We were fortunate to have the services of a driver who picked us up and other transport links would need to be explored. We stayed there twice during a week's tour (5 nights in total) Generally efficient. However, IT connection issue meant three valid cards we presented were not accepted. Eventually managed to resolve. The lift also malfunctioned and we were stuck between floors for a few minutes whilst the staff fixed it. Hopefully glitches, but could not complete full review without mentioning

The location is excellent in the heart of District 5, close to a large mall, all amenities, and only 20 minutes from the airport. • Jutta (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel leider mit kleinem Mangel - Wir haben 3 Nächte in einer Executive Sweet verbracht. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Hotel liegt im Stadtteil New Cairo. Es handelt sich um eine sehr schöne Villa. Alles war sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Man sollte unbedingt die Uber App installieren, da diese sich als sehr hilfreich erwiesen hat wenn man Kairo auf eigene Faust erkunden möchte. Rund um das Hotel gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, mit dem Uber ist man aber in 2 Minuten in einer schönen modernen Mall. Ich hätte das Hotel gerne mit einem Punkt mehr bewertet, muss aber leider sagen, dass das Frühstück, konkret die Wartezeit auf das Frühstück schon sehr an unserer Geduld gezerrt haben. Mit vier Leuten haben wir meistens über eine Stunde warten müssen, bis überhaupt Kaffee etc. auf dem Tisch standen und dies auch immer nur auf Nachfrage. Die Karte für das Frühstück ist sehr schön aufgebaut, hier ist es umso mehr unverständlich, warum dies so gar nicht geklappt hat. Die Qualität der Speisen ist allerdings gut und auch lecker. Wir habe unseren Unmut über die sehr langen Wartezeiten an der Rezeption mehrfach kundgetran. Sehr angenehm habe ich empfunden, dass dies angenommen wurde und auch bekannt ist. Es wird wohl an diesem Problem gearbeitet. Hier ist dringend eine Schulung erforderlich. Ansonsten kann ich das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit dort. • HMD (10/5): - Exceptional service from the front desk clerk Mr. Fadi Gerges. He made our stay lovely and easy, he helped with everything inside the residence and even helped us arrange our outings. The residence itself is very good. The room space is amazing. Even if the area is a bit FURTHER than other to tourists attractions i would definitely stay there again.

• Simone (10/5): - The boutique hotel Maran Residence was an amazing experience. The rooms were clean and the bed linens were freshly washed. The staff Fady, Martina, Mohab and Aisha offered me the best service. They were very knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating about where to get everything at anytime of the day. They translated with my Uber drivers and Talbat delivery orders. They were so efficient. I think if I requested a camel at 3am, they would have found it for me😊. I had an amazing stay and when returning to Egypt will definitely stay at Maran Residence again.
