Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (7/5): Pleasant and quiet and in a good location - Quiet location and very close to 711 Not soundproofed at all very thin walls and the aircon worked but the remote for it was different to the one in the document sent before my arrival so I had to mess about to get jt working
Climbing a ladder to go to bed was annoying and it was very hot in the room, despite aircon being on, the bed was above the aircon machine
Toilet cubicle was only a few inches wider than my shoulder width

- Katarzyna (8/5): Good place but small. - It was not far from the station and 25 minute walk from Ikebukuro. The vent was noisy but not a problem with ear plugs.
- Andjelko (9/5): location and the neighbourhood are great, good place to stay for the money - The location is great, it is near the Ikebukuro station which is a great hub for the rest of the places you can visit. It is quiet but if you go a bit south (20-25 minutes) you are closer to a more active area.
The place had everything that I needed for the duration of the stay. The shower ceiling is not that high so some taller people might feel that it is cramped. I was also not able to sit up while in the bed at the top gallery.
Those are just the two things i might bring up for others but it did not bother me during the stay!

- Zofia (9/5): - The property was in perfect spot for sightseeing tokyo. The kitaikebukuro station was just a 10 min walk. The whole neighborhood was lovely. The property was clean and quiet however it was a bit on the smaller size, especially when we turned the sofa into a bed, but we managed with the space. Both the upper and the lower bed were comfortable and the room was warm and nice in the winter. The toilet and wet area were clean. The amenities in the property came in frequent use such as the freezer, fridge and the hairdryer and hangers. Getting into the property was also easy as the owner send us a file with all the descriptions on how to get there. The vents in the toilet sometimes were a bit loud but i just turned them off. The property was small, but i knew what i was booking and in the end we managed with the limited space.

- Polina (7/5): Overall, it’s a nice apartment, especially if you value peace and a quiet neighborhood. - I stayed in this apartment and overall had a good experience. The neighborhood is very quiet and pleasant, and the apartment itself is also peaceful — perfect for a good night’s sleep.
I appreciated how clean everything was, especially the bedding, which was fresh and tidy. It was also really convenient to have a kitchen and a washing machine, so I could cook and do my laundry during my stay. On the downside, the layout of the furniture and some things in the apartment felt a bit inconvenient. The walls could also use a fresh coat of paint, as there were some visible marks. Another small drawback is that there was no full-length mirror — it would be great to have one. And location a bit far from the train station. At least what google maps told me.

- Hannah (7/5): Overall the place was located in a nice area had all the facilities you need and is kept very clean but if are a bit tal - Location is perfect close to train stations and convenience shops both only a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Theres a smoking area just outside the apartment blocks as well. It is very small. I hadnt quite anticipated for it to be as small as it was, but seeing as this is in tokyo thats expected for the price. I went with my partner and were both 5’6 or less so wasnt that much of an issue for us but we had two rucksacks each as we were travelling and found there wasnt much room to move around them!

- Cheraim555 (8/5): Everything is alright. - The location is not far from JR ikebukuro station. Change train from yamanote line to tobu line 1 station walk 770m or 2 station walk 550m to the room. It's convenient if you are traveling within the Tokyo area. The apartment is suitable for 2 asian people body size. If you are too tall or have a large built, you will feel a bit crowded in this apartment. Luckily me and my dad is Asia's body size so it's still ok for us to stay.
- Melissa (3/5): Just Don't - The water pressure in the shower. I really don’t like to leave a negative review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience with others. Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing.
To start with, the main bed was only accessible by climbing a steep ladder into a loft space, which was not written into the booking description. I ended up sleeping on the small futon instead, but it was very uncomfortable— I could feel the framework of the fold-out lounge through the thin mattress. Honestly, the floor might have been a better option.
The stairway leading up to the accommodation was extremely narrow, and the walls were thin enough that we could hear other people moving about. We were only given two towels for a five-day stay, which felt inadequate.
The space itself was cramped for two people, and the kitchen area was extremely limited. There wasn't any bench space that made doing the dishes difficult, even just to wash a cup. The accessories, towel holder, etc. were just cheap plastic, adding to the overall sense of poor quality.
Sadly, I can’t recommend this place. It just didn’t meet even basic expectations. All I can say is—"just don’t.!"
- Panchev (3/5): Poor - the location was ok dirty room, dirty bed linens
- Felix (8/5): Overall a good spot for the price - I loved the location, it was also nice to have a toilet with a bidet, a refrigerator, and a shower and bath all together. All toiletries being included and amenities were very nice. Very nice to let us extend our stay for an extra hour free of charge. Just a bit cramped for taller people, and lack of garbage bags made garbage collection difficult. Futon was also not our style. Pretty uncomfortable to sleep on.
- Yeomin (9/5): Superb - The staff was very kind, and give us quick good answers immediately. The room was tidy and cozy, appropriate for 2 intimate people. I felt warm and moderated, but my friend felt sweaty little bit.
- Sayaka (3/5): Poor -
- Sarahjane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shinya (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (7/5): Good - Quiet area but very easy to get to any popular or busier places. Many convenient stores close by as well. The place is super small but expected as much for Tokyo. It is crammed for 2 people with suitcases but it is doable. Honestly have the lofted bed is helpful for extra space and to separate the 2. Overall for the money it is worth it especially if you care more about making the most of your time in Tokyo out of the airbnb anyway. The futon is also pretty hard but we put the extra comforter down to add more cushion and it helped and you get used to it more if you stay for more than 1 night
- Xiang (4/5): Has everything but... - There is washing machine and can cook. If you want to clean your clothes for free that is good.
Basically all stuff is available but at smaller size 1) Struggle to find Google map location but good that owner provided the references but if you want to use taxi to go that is difficult.
2) the station is a bit far and u need to pay extra for ikeburoro tobo line for public transport that is an additional 200 yen plus
3) the towel provided could be of better quality. or offer change of towel every two days.
4) at least offer some throwing garbage facilities every 2 days since foreigners are not sure about garbage segregation
5) if you are too tall probably not suitable because once u wake up u will knock on the ceiling
6) confusing instruction on checking out. In the notes it mention do not lock the door then it changes to locking the door. But owner has clarified anyway.
- Nasywa (9/5): Superb - for the price the place was so worth it, its not too small, they already have everything you need, and its not really that far for the nearest station and konbini
- Meryem (10/5): Exceptional - I love the Ikebukuro house. Its easy to coming the house from Tokyo and the room has everything for living short or long time. The room was clean and comfortable. I felt like I was at my home. Thank you for everything.
- Valeria (6/5): Happy to stay here and would recommend for couples planning to stay in Tokyo for a few days - The concept of space in the apartment was cool, with a lower level and loft bed. The location was very nice, in a quiet neighbourhood with convenience stores nearby. Train stations were within easy walking distance. Small space, especially bathroom! Very hard to shower without getting everything wet. Little storage for bags and clothes.
- Sarahjane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ludwig (10/5): Perfect apartment in Tokyo for a bit more freedom during your stay - The small apartment perfect for everyone who wants to stay in Toyko for a reasonable price and doesn’t want a normal hotel. It has quite the good location and more space than expected. It’s been my second time and I think I’ll come back again next time I’m near Tokyo.
The staff is super relaxed and answers really fast on the booking chat!
- Yves (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (8/5): It was memorable and worth the price :) - I like the vibe, the facilities and how compact the things were in the room. The room was also clean and tidy. the neighborhood was also quite and peaceful. The hotel was near a 7/11 store :) and vending machines. Our room was located on the 2nd floor so it was quite hard carry our luggages.
The aircon and wifi on room 203 was malfunctioning sometimes but it eventually comes back
- Melissa (6/5): It was okay, but I wouldn’t stay again - That it had a mini kitchen, washer, and microwave The location wasn’t good. It was not a convenient location at all. It was a 10 minute walk from closest station and the closest station was not a Tokyo metro so it was not covered by the metro passes. Bed was small for 2 people
- Jamie_23 (9/5): Amazing room. Perfect for couples or groups of two. - The room was really cozy. Had all the necessities for short or long term stay such as the washing machine, kitchenware, among others. Only complaint is the super low couch that was hard to stay put in but was comfortable nonetheless. Everything was clean and has an amazing time in it. Area made me feel like I was a local in Japan and proved to be safe and quiet. Super low couch :)
- Camila (9/5): Superb - comfy and quiet maybe a little small
- Jessica (5/5): Disappointing and overpriced - The location was decent -- quiet neighbourhood with a good number of nearby shops. Besides the pots issue below, the house was also clean enough, despite being on the ground floor there were zero bugs. When I came in to the room, I opened the kitchen cupboard and a number of pots fell out. Everything was stuffed into there. One of the two pots and a couple utensils were still disgustingly oily -- they were not cleaned at all and I had to wash them myself. The tableware doesn't fit the unit at all, the place is so small yet we're given large, flat bowls and huge bento boxes that have no room to be put down and no proper rice bowls. The fridge's internal shelf railing was broken. The toilet heater is weak and points away from the clothes so I hung my clothes up to dry for 6h and it was still a bit damp. Lastly, I was in a cramped, tiny ground floor unit, 103, and the tatami bed was up the ladder and right up against the ceiling, and the people above me were very noisy at night, and all the noise came through the thin ceiling floor. It felt like there were elephants upstairs. This lasted all the way until 4am. The online check-in booklet is also old, and shows a check-in time of 5pm and the need to go upstairs to get my key, both of these are now wrong and check-in was at 3pm and the key was hidden.
- Lyka (10/5): I like the place, it sarisfies my vacation and I will definitely come back - Everything is all right there. I like everything
- Lyka (10/5): I like the place, everything is hassle free and accessible. Nearby stations and also its really satisfied my vacation. I - Everything is a;l right there. I like everything
- Cesith (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harit (7/5): Good -
- Minthe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narumi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Katarina (6/5): Pleasant - I like the area, the location. I had problem with navigation, google maps sent me to another "Japanese house" in area. Then I had issue with check in (I understood i can check in at 10, and when finally arrived at right place I could not.) When I came back for the second time, the room was occupied... but somehow we solved things out right, but it was stressful.
- Nik (8/5): Great value for money - Loved the coziness feel. Maybe just the location of it.
- Hykes (8/5): Very good -
- Clara (8/5): Very good -
- Travel_daniel (7/5): Small, but well-equipped apartment in a quiet neighbourhood - Washing mashine, microwave, kitchenware, etc. were provided. Supermarkets, restaurants and train stations are nearby. The neighbourhood is very quiet, but well-suited for a longer stay. The host speaks English. The bathroom is very small. The walls are not soundproof and you may hear other guests talking.
