• Ambarose (9/5): Great stay! Comfy, quiet, close to food and the station. Definitely recommend - Great value for money! It had everything you need and the bed was super comfortable. It was in a very quiet street but close to the station and many food options. It was very small but worth the squishiness because everything else was great!

• Shaun (7/5): Good if you only plan a couple of nights stay - Great location close to 2 train stations and a busy street but in a very quiet location. Very good value considering the location. Had the feel of a static caravan inside the room and there was a strong smell of drains in the bathroom. The most disappointing aspects were the thin walls and lack of wardrobe space. Other guests and the cleaners were clearly audible.

Es super cómodo. Nos encanto el barrio. Caminamos muchísimo y siempre sentimos que estábamos muy cerca de todo. Su plancha y secador de pelo es de las cosas que mas valoramos durante la estadia. • jana (8/5): comfortable room in shinjuku - it was really nice and very optimal location, in japan subways stop running around midnight so it was fun knowing that there were still so many things to do near our hotel late at night, everything was clean and the street was quiet, the check in process was seamless considering there are detailed instructions, having an in unit laundry machine was amazing, i had a great time :3 the drier was so weak we had to hang our clothes to dry, this is essentially an airbnb set up, there is no staff no one will come clean room etc you’re on your own for the duration of your stay, this was only inconvenient when it came to trash because we had to sort all of our trash at the end.

It is NOT like in the cover photo shown. They also did not clean or if they did it was the bare minimum. Also it smelled like sewage every time you used the toilet which was the worst part.

I got what seemed to be automated emails sent to me with cryptic information, finding the key was like a treasure hunt and a puzzle game. The room size is definitely not what they said it was on the description. It was more like 13 m2 which, when that includes a bathroom.. a ridiculous kitchen and a table and chairs… is just no room at all. There is nowhere to put your bags, you are just climbing over each other and your stuff all the time.

• Zhang (4/5): Won’t recommend to those who stay only one or two nights seeking convenience. - The apartment hotel is in the close vicinity of the station of Okubo The self-assisted check-in was far from effective. We ended up short of one room, even though we booked two. I had to email them standing in the cold December evening waiting for responses online. Terrible experiences!

Didn’t have to walk far for a quick bite or to try new places. Also a Yamato luggage delivery service near by so if you need to pick up luggage it’s only a 7 minute walk. There’s quite a lot, but this is coming from a person who stayed in about 4 places throughout my stay in Japan. First the stairs, carrying a 30 kg suitcase up stairs is not ideal, second the bathroom missing a plug for the bathtub and only came with one towel even though the room can fit multiple people and you have to pay for more, and lastly the air conditioner malfunctioned quite often so we would have to turn it off for a few minutes then turn it on again (despite having to keep it off when being outside the hotel room, so can’t keep the room warm for when we get back).

• Mudathir (8/5): Clean and good location - It was a few two minutes walk from Okubo station and and few more from Shin Okubo station. It was clean and in a quiet area despite being near to a busy street. Those were not important to me. No TV is not a big deal since I have my tablet with me. I wish the electrical outlet by the bed worked rather than charging my device from the wall. The towels one was good, and the other was old and thin.

I wanted to request a late check-out (at 12 instead of 10), and the host took 2 days to reply. Then, even though they agreed on it for a fee, this was obviously not communicated to housekeeping who came at our door at 11.
