• Vanessa (10/5): The best trip we've ever had - The hosts were incredibly helpful, helping us with transport, advice and making the stay very pleasant. The apartment was spacious, clean and overlooking a private pool and sea view, perfectly situated near restaurants, shops and the best part of the beach. Our room was regularly cleaned and had an amazing bed. Nothing.
• Erica (1/5): See the room before you pay anything. USE CREDIT CARD. - Bait and Switch The owners insisted upon cash, then couldn't "make the card reader work" so we waited for an hour while they were on the phone with their card reader. I had contacted them the day before to say I did not need airport pickup. Then I turned off my laptop (vacation!) expecting them not to panic when the flight was delayed. After all, we did not need pickup. When we finally got there, they had left a note at the security kiosk to call a number because they were at some other property. We waited. What we didn't know, was that they had already sold our room. The man comes over, we give him our passports, he can't get the wifi in the lobby to work, yet asks us to download whatsapp. We wait for his wife. She comes over and also cannot get wifi. So, she takes my partner to a different hotel (it's only next door, she says) and they are gone for a very long time. I begin to get nervous, as I am separated from my partner and I have been awake for 20 hours. I insist upon following them. The man does not want to take me, but when I start walking out, he has to take me to the other hotel. When we get to their "office" I can see that the woman and my partner are both on their phones, very angry. His bank says everything is OK. They keep asking us to pay in cash because the credit card reader is not working. He transfers money between accounts to be able to pay them, but now they want to be paid in pesos. The reservation was in dollars. We are exhausted and it has been so very long with this couple, so we eat the exchange fees and pay for the room we reserved weeks prior. Then we go up more stairs to the room and...it is not the room we reserved. No ocean view, no balcony, no sofa bed. The man ONLY NOW explains that the room we had rented was re-sold when we didn't respond to his text messages, and that this is the only room they had left, which they were willing to rent to us for the same price.
• Marie (8/5): Beautiful property in a great location. - Great location and view of the ocean Only one outlet to charge devices, and that outlet was in the kitchen area. Only 3 pillows for 2 people, which was kind of strange. Consider updating the locks—paranoid about losing the key
• Slavia (10/5): I would recommend to stay everyone. Quiet place, easy accessible, great hosts. - Location is amazing and host was super nice! John and his wife helped a lot with an useful information on how to get around and what to see/ to do. Also very nice property - 3 min walk to the beach.... Too hot :) but you have a great air- conditioner at the facility
• Paige (5/5): Very loud construction, no pool access. - Close to beach and transit. Pool was under construction. Very noisy, no swimming. Dinner buffet was the only food option, not very expansive or interesting.
