• Kathrin (9/5): Gerne wieder... - Wir sind vor Beginn der Reise sehr gut informiert und am Anreisetag sehr nett empfangen worden. Der Inhaber hatte viele Amsterdam-Tipps parat. Die Ferienwohnung war zweckmässig eingerichtet, die Küche war gut ausgestattet, das Haus mit Weinreben berankt, vor dem Haus ein kleiner Ökogarten und freilaufende Hühner. Uns gefiel die ruhige Lage, trotzdem nah an der City, mit dem Fahrrad keine 10 Minuten bis zur Fähre in die Innenstadt.

• Donato (9/5): Great accommodation for large family/group - Very relaxed and the grounds and its treasures were lovely. We were a large group and the apartment had lots of room so we were completely comfortable. I would not say didn’t like, just be prepared for the travel time from lodge to city centre. Free ferry is great.
• Cody (7/5): Enjoyed the outdoor feel but not with kids - Super friendly people, quiet, in a lot of nature. Kids enjoyed the chickens and bikes. Location was far from Amsterdam Central as well as any kind of transport so it was very difficult getting there. There was definitely an attempt to accommodate for kids (cribs, toys and gardens) but gave off hostel vibes with other guests drinking and partying so if we were to go back, I would not go with my young kids. I would rather wait til they were older. We were given an upstairs unit and the stairs were an issue as well.
• Artur (3/5): Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche hat, dann ist es für ein paar Tage okay. - Gefallen hat uns nur das äußere Erscheinungsbild und die Lage. Das Zentrum war mit dem ÖPNV gut zu erreichen. Ausdrücklich hervorzuheben war, dass die Besitzer / Verwalter sehr freundlich waren. Komplette Ausstattung war schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Gebäude stammt aus dem Jahr 1966 und war für Arbeiter gebaut worden. Die Einrichtung vermittelte den Eindruck, dass seit dieser Zeit nichts wesentlich verändert wurde. Für den Preis deutlich zu teuer.
• Stephan Killinger (8/5): Am Rande der Stadt - Die Betreiber der Lodge sind sehr zuvorkommend. Erklären einem alles sehr gut. Die Unterkunft war nett eingerichtet. Wir haben uns wohl und auch sicher gefühlt für 4 Tage. Die Parkplatzsituation war etwas unglücklich. Wir sind mit unserem Diesel Euronorm 4 mehrmals in die verbotene Zone gefahren um Sachen und Gepäck auszuladen, was uns einiges an Strafe kosten wird. Ärgerlich weil wir vorher extra gefragt hatten. Das Ausleihen von Bikes ist sehr teuer.

• Irma-Aida (5/5): Locatie Top - Wat me het meest beviel aan de accommodatie was de gunstige ligging, op korte afstand van het centrum van Amsterdam. Wat tegenviel was dat het appartement niet goed schoon was. De rand van de douchecabine was erg vies, bij het openen van de ramen lag er heel veel stof en zaten er dode insecten, en de afzuigkap zat vol met vet.

Le Farm Lodge est bien situé par rapport au centre d Amsterdam: à 10 mn voiture du Ferry, la traversée dure 8 mn et c'est gratuit. Il y a un Ferry tous les 15 mn Le Farm Lodge est un endroit calme, on se croirait dans une petite ferme. Bel endroit

• Matt (10/5): Brilliant and unexpected, a really lovely place both to unwind and to visit the city - The location was much easier to reach than we initially thought, and when we arrived we were met by Rogier, who told us a bit about the urban farm, his chickens and the other small businesses on the site. The apartment itself was great: clean and well-maintained, with very comfortable beds and even a jar of local honey and some feed to give to the chickens. The small business owners were very friendly, we visited several of them and tried their delicious food and drink. It was great, nothing to dislike.

• Ncha of Italy (10/5): A great place immersed in nature just a few km far from the center - This place is perfect for people who wish to visit Amsterdam. You can easily park outside the facility for free. You have just ten minutes or less to walk to the bus stop and after the bus you can take the metro to the city centre. You can get organized with a daily ticket for all the transports and this makes the visit to Amsterdam cheaper. The apartment is fine and you can really enjoy the area that is quiet and relaxing, after visiting the crowded city centre. You can enjoy the outside space available in front of your apartment and the owners were really helpful giving us the chance to organize a barbeque and eat outside. Everything was easy, also the trash was easy to throw away. We were also able to do a washing machine and dry the clothes and that was great as we didn't need to bring lots of clothes with us. Maybe just a couple of plastic bags more for the trash but maybe we didn't find them in the house 😅
• Stephanie (3/5): Enttäuschend - Personal war freundlich und immer kontaktierbar. Unzureichende Küchenuntensilien. Wenn vorhanden, dann dermaßen dreckig und alt, sodass diese nicht benutzbar waren. Aufgrund des Nachhaltigkeitskonzeptes der Unterkunft ist die minimalistische Ausstattung verständlich. Nichts desto trotz, führt der Minimalismus hier am Ziel vorbei, da die Küche nicht nutzbar war und man entsprechend viele Fertigprodukte aus dem Supermarkt kaufen musste mit viel Plastikabfall. Außerdem stand in der Beschreibung, dass Handtücher vorhanden seien. Jedoch war nur 1 Duschtuch pro Person da, somit ebenfalls unzureichend. Wenn im Untergeschoss geraucht wurde, hat man den Rauch oben in den Schlafzimmer gerochen. Somit Preis Leistungsverhältnis überteuert und nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Love the atmosphere, fresh air, quiet nights and tap-water of excellent quality. Nothing to complain about the rooms as they are very well facilitated and comfortable. Host is super nice and helpful! There was tight parking during our stay. Think it’d be better not to arrive at the place too late at night.

• Vyadya (9/5): We liked this accommodation and might be back in future. - Location is very good if yo have a car, or rent a bike. It's only 5 minutes by car to the free ferry where you can get to city center. There is a free public parking available. The neighborhood is quite and calm. The territory has plenty of interesting amenities. Kids liked to feed little chickens and pigs. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. There was some kind of heatwave in Amsterdam with government warnings, so it was pretty hot in apartment and every room had a fan. In general we liked this accommodation and might be back in future. The dishes were not very clean. Looked like dishes were not rinsed after dish soap. We had to rinse everything we used.

• Bejoolala (1/5): very bad experience, very dirty, we left immediately to other place. No refund accepted by the host. - :((( read well the recent reviews! The most disturbing part was the filth found. Initially, we thought we had entered someone's apartment who was still living there. But no! In short: the sheets were stained and dirty, not changed; the pillows were also dirty, with hair on them, insects on the walls and in the bed (crushed); the towels were something that you didn't feel like using at all, the table was sticky; it was clear that it hadn't been wiped, the plates and kitchen utensils were untouchable. The group arrived around midnight, tired, after a long day and a delayed flight, we only wanted to rest. We couldn't stay, we had to look for another hotel. We addressed the situation in the morning to the host that we couldn't stay at the accommodation, in a friendly way because we wanted to avoid complaints and asked for the refund. It was not accepted, the owner kept saying (you could tell it was a chatGPT generated response) that the apartment was super clean, that they have a professional team that takes care of cleaning in detail when it was obvious that the truth was completely different. We took some pictures, but they still don't capture what we felt on the spot. We travel a lot, and most of the times the attitude of the host can really make a big difference, but in this case they only cared about cashing the money, its plenty of tourists who dont care what they show is not true. If we had canceled the reservation, I wouldn't be able to give this review, it's important for people to know what the reality is.

• Deanna (8/5): Very good - I highly recommend the farm lodge for its sustainable and environmental practices. The food at the restaurant is excellent, great for families or if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of Central Amsterdam. Nicole and her husband are extremely accommodating considering their busy lives here 🙄 The rooms could do with a little TLC, but overall very good 👍

• Adam (8/5): A Relaxing Stay - The apartment was roomy enough for the 5 of us. Shower was very good, so it did not take long for for everyone to get ready. Well equipped kitchen and storage. There was a cupboard outside where guests could share unused toiletries and food which was a nice touch. Picnic table outside was useful. The surrounding area was really nice to walk around. Has a nice cafe/restaurant on site nearby. Overall the Farm Lodge' is a nice spot to just chill out. Not forgetting the friendly chickens. It is a great place and would definitely come back again. Maybe spring or summer when the wildflowers and butterflies are about. Apartment walls are quite thin so you could hear neighbours moving around sometimes. Apart from that all was great.
• Mayuri (10/5): Exceptional - This place was such a surprise - we arrived and were just in awe of what felt like a little oasis. Traveling as a family, and with a small child also, the farm lodge was such an incredible escape from the hectic nature of Amsterdam while still being so easy to get to. It's literally on a an urban farm - with a couple of lovely shops for coffee/food (although not always open), animals, and lots of beautiful gardens to wander. This is such a perfect place to stay if you're looking for a quieter alternative to staying directly in the city while also having easy access to it. The owners are wonderful! The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I don't tend to be super excited about hotel beds in the first place. I personally didn't mind the distance from public transportation (depending on where you're going about a 10-15 min walk), but it was more difficult for my mom who is older. It's not so close to a grocery store either, the closest good one is about 25 min walk.

• Corinna (4/5): Quiet, remote, but OLD, tired and NOT worth the money - Location was definitely quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of the city. There were amazing toys for our kids and stuffed animals, we didn’t need to break out any of the toys we brought along. The farm was a little bit of a walk away and ended of glad for that as the pigs really stink. Staff was super nice. It’s a very very tired accommodation!!! We were not aware that we would be in the top floor and there was no elevator for all our luggage and stroller for a family of 5. That was very difficult. Wifi was pretty bad also, maybe one for it two most of the time. I was seriously afraid we would fall through the bathroom floor, it was so soft. We’re a family of 5 so I am really sure we bothered the neighbors downstairs because the floors were so old and thin. The cold water faucet didn’t work in the bathroom so we couldn’t use the sink because the water was too hot. We also didn’t know that we couldn’t park next to our residence, and it was quite a walk with three small kids in the pouring rain to get to the car when we were trying to get to the Nemo museum. That was not fun at all. And it was quite ironic that an organic, grow your own food, vegan community family farm that strongly forbids any sort of cannabis but yet allows smoking cigarettes everywhere…. So when the guys downstairs were smoking that wonderful poison wafted up into our accommodation for our children to inhale.

• Nicolas (10/5): Peaceful and charming - A quiet and peaceful place; like a piece of paradise on earth. Isolated from the bustle of the city but only a few minutes by bike from the ferry that takes you to the city centre. Charming and welcoming hosts that have a lot to tell and some pretty good insiders if you ask them. The apartment is clean, spacious and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. It'll only exist for the next few years, so book now or you'll miss out!
• Nemia (8/5): Enjoyed Nature and community - the property owners were really accommodating and friendly. Showed us around and explained transportation ways and around. Requests for extras were provided right away. The place is great for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

Was a wonderful holiday in the middle of the self-designed nature with many animals and easy connection to the city, would come back anytime!
• Binita (8/5): lovely stay thoroughly enjoyed the city - lovely quiet location, overall comfortable. the pof restaurant 5 mins away is absolutely fantastic A little far to travel from. not much space for the whole family to sit and watch tv etc. however was v comfortable for 5 of us
• Scott (10/5): Perfect base for family in Amsterdam and surrounding areas. - 3 bedroom apartment in Amsterdam was perfect arrangement and base for our family of 5. Very kind and communicative hosts. In addition to the nice lodging, the farm setting and surrounding elements (restaurant, honey farm, pigs, chickens, etc) was unique and fascinating. A little far to bus (especially when arriving with luggage, so use the actual Amsterdam Lodge in google maps). But once we made the walk to and from the bus stops or twice, it was very comfortable and convenient. You can’t beat this kind of accommodation size and convenience and still be in Amsterdam.
• Michael (9/5): Would definitely come back! - When we arrived the location was brilliant, the staff were really welcoming and knew the area pretty well. The apartment itself was very roomy for the 5 of us. It was always a good night sleep and we were all amazed by that as you're very near the motorway. Good job all round! Couldn't fault it, lovely place to stay in for a week or long weekend.
• Philip (8/5): Brilliant. Fab base to explore Amsterdam from. - Perfect for our family of 6 as we all had comfortable beds and rooms and we could self-cater to save money. Very interesting location with lots of organic little businesses on site. Also amazingly quiet (due to big barrier) considering it was so close to a busy road. Great for kids. Very easy to get into town - short walk, number 35 bus, one metro stop to Centraal Station - kids enjoyed this daily journey! Friendly and helpful hosts.

• Vinnie (10/5): Outstanding value for money in a quiet and peaceful location - the flat at the lodge was extremely convenient, spacious and extremely well equipped. What made our stay outstanding was the extreme kindness of the owners. They made us feel welcome, gave us nice tips and tricks to visit the city, and they went above and beyond with helping us with a little problem we had with our car. the location requires a transport of your own because even Uber is quite tricky to get.
