- Donna (3/5): umm, I left before my reservation was up and booked another place, will not be back - the location was close to Provencia from 9pm until 4am you can feel the base from the edm club nearby and the bed is basically a thick foam pad

- Shane (3/5): This hotel property will ruin your vacation experience, stress you out, and will not compensate! - The rooms are spacious and are aesthetically nice. The hotel is centrally located (close to everything) and it is in El Poblado - just a short walk away from Provenza and Lleras Park. However, unless the property makes intentional changes to ensure their guests have a safe uninterrupted, tranquil, value-added stay, I wont advise anyone to stay at this property (unless they want their vacation to be ruined)! This property / establishment has multiple issues that could potentially ruin your vacation: - Maintenance issues (leaky roofs and others), - Large roach and bugs infestation issues (see pics), - Moldy rooms issues (which is health /safety matter), - Horrible wifi issues, - Noise issues from discoteca (Thurs to Sun), - Workers speaking loud in hallway, - Bed mattress issues (definitely need to change them) - Bathroom plumbing issues which produces noise and smells. Considering the issues I had (one after the other), I wish that I had booked my stay at one of the other hotels properties or airbnb in the area. I believe I would have had better value and a better experience (just like the hotel I booked in Laureles). I have been coming to Medellin since 2017, and this property has given me the worst Medellin experience (during my most recent stay). It would've been understandable if there was one issue and it was successfully resolved. But the issues kept occurring. The leaking roof was the last straw. Prior to checking into this property, I stayed in a hotel in Laureles that were similar to this property, but the hotel in Laureles was less expensive and provided better value. From the day I checked into the Soy Local property, there was one issue after the next. I spent my entire vacation moving from one room to the next because of the multiple issues the property had. Roach Issue: The first room I checked into had a serious roach and bugs infestation problem. I killed several bugs, which included 3 large roaches (which also got in bed with you so make sure you reserve a room for two or more). The bugs were non-stop. Noise non-stop issue: Once night falls (particularly weekend nights), please note that you will NOT be able to sleep if you need a noise free environment. Many of the rooms are next to a discoteca and once they start their music, expect noise nonstop from evening to about 5am in the morning. And if that wasn't bad enough, at approximately 7:30am, I was awakened by loud hammering and knocking on the walls of my room because there was construction being done. Mold Issue: There was also a strong mold smell (as well as other smells which appears to emanate from the drains). This seems to be the case for multiple rooms at the property. Wifi Issue: The wifi is practically non-existent and cannot be accessed unless you're near the receptionist area. Maintenance Issues: The roof of the room leaked water when it rained. According to the manager, several rooms were experiencing leaks (this explains the mold smells). We all know what recently happened at an establishment in the Dominican Republican where the roof caved in. Maintenance should be taken very seriously. Eventually, after being moved from one room to the next, I was moved to one of the other properties which had minor issue - roach greeted the manager and I as we open the door and then there's the no hot water issue because the tanks were out of gas (according to staff).

Totalmente recomendado El ruido de la música. Pero es normal para el sitio. Si quieres una habitación más tranquila pidela en recepción. Te ayudarán sin problemas

It was near Starbucks, Pizza Hut and other restaurants on the main road. and near to the party clubs and dining restaurant throughout the whole area. You don't have to walk far to get something to eat. They have alot of sit down restaurant and fast food, the hotel room was very clean, nice layout. It was a queen size bed with a sulfur and another comforter chair, the bathroom was clean. Nice modern update and also the balcony really did not have no view. So you're not gonna have a view if you get this room the fragerator was a full size. Small kitchen I did not like the fact that there is a club that is next door and the music is very loud and it shake the whole building. It hard to at sleep at night. The club played music until 5 o'clock AM. So if you want a place to get sleep, this is not the hotel to be in.

Éramos un grupo de siete personas y esta ha sido, sin duda, una de las peores experiencias que hemos tenido viajando. Desde el primer momento fue imposible descansar ya que la habitación y el alojamiento ESTÁ ENCIMA DE UNA DISCOTECA: el ruido es insoportable, como si estuvieras dentro de la discoteca, hasta con tapones se escucha la música. Nos cambiaron de habitación porque fuimos a la 1 de la madrugada a pedirlo ya era imposible dormir. Para colmo, al marcharnos nos dijeron que habíamos consumido cosas de la habitación y nos las cobraron, AUN NO HABIENDO CONSUMIDO NADA. También nos querían hacer pagar 100.000COP por el mando/control de la TV. Una falta de profesionalidad y honestidad total. NO caigan en la trampa de reservar aquí. Hay muchas mejores opciones en la zona donde sí respetan a los huéspedes.
- Nadia (8/5): Apartamento en Medellin - La habitacion y la cama estavan genial, esos dias teoricamente tenian que cortar el agua en toda la cuidad y nos dejaron un barreño lleno y con posibilidad de tener mas si hacia falta, aunque al final no cortaron el agua, se agrece la previsión por parte del hotel. La cocina le faltan algunos utensilios, no hay una mesa con sillas para comer. Esta muy cerca de una discoteca y se oye bastante ruido por la noche, aun asi, podimos dormir.

- Ivana García (4/5): Está en un buen barrio, no volvería por el ruido y porque no me dieron lo que reservé - Está en uno de los barrios más lindos, cerca de calle Provenza con muchos restaurantes, tiene recepción 24 horas, el personal era amable. El espacio de cocina comedor lindo (No como en las fotos). En principio que no me dieron el alojamiento que aliquié, reservé apartamento de 2 habitaciones y me dieron uno de un dormitorio con tres camas, reclamé y no habia posibilidad de cambio. La escalera que tenía era peligrosa, primer día, me resvalé y me rompí un codo. Lo peor es que está arriba de una discoteca, literal a ese lugar le abren el techo y ves la gente desde el apartamento ademas de que vibra todo. También se llovió sobre una de las camas y la solución que ofrecieron fue poner un nylon. Faltaba una toalla que la pedimos y nos la dieron, eso no fue problema.

El alojamiento necesita mantenimiento en la habitación había hongo en las paredes mucha humedad había una gotera por la caja eléctrica de luz. La habitación no tenía control para el aire. Le hace falta un lugar para poder colocar la ropa. Definitivamente si quieres descansar es dificil ya que en el fin de semana hay mucho movimiento en la zona el ruido de los carros es muy fuerte con bocinas y músicas ya que hay una discoteca de bajo de las habitaciones.

Los apartamentos no eran para nada como en las fotos, estaban destrozados , nos dieron un apartamento que literalmente era una discoteca, no se podía ni estar de lo alta que estaba la música, sucio, con humedades, nada que ver. Luego contratamos dos apartamentos de 8 y tuvimos que meternos en uno de 8 y otro de 4 para poder intentar descansar una noche almenos y va y nos cobran dos apartamentos de 8. FATAL!

- JJ Jones (8/5): The view from the balcony and the location are the best! - I love the location. It's right next to everything. You have amazing restaurants and stores. Right next to all the right places you want to be. It's guest friendly also. I love sitting on the balcony and just people watching. It's a great value for the money. The staff are really nice too. It didn't bother me, but I found two big water bugs outside on the patio when I was sitting there. I'm not complaining, but it may bother other people.

I questioned the clerck and Ireserved. when I show up, they gave me another studio. Place is surrended by clubs. I listen to noise until 4 am… With earplug. Very disapointing!

Despite staff confirmation/inspection during checkout, they falsely overbilled and charged minibar items. They expect you to clean the unit or be charged additional. They couldn't bill us for leaving a clean place so they fanthom charged us minibar items.

- Nicholas (2/5): - L'hotel est collée sur une discotheque à ciel ouvert. Le bruit est infernal dans les chambres, jusqu'à 4h du matin. J'ai enregistré 92 décibel dans la chambre. Impossible de dormir. J'ai demandé de changer de chambre. Il disait que c'est normal dans ce secteur et que c'est écrit dans l'annonce. La douche était bloquée, il y a eu un degat d'eau. Ils m'ont apporté une moppe pour que je ramasse l'eau moi-même. Il y avait plein de moissisure sur les murs. Je déconseille totalement.

- Henri (7/5): Good - The location was brilliant, and we had an apartment with tkitchen and patio, which were both great. The apartment was very noisy and not well painted and furnished. It did not match the online picks, which was a pity.

The hotel's location is very convenient for visiting El Poblado and getting easy access to the rest of Medellin. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a few issues. The noise from the street and a nearby club was unbearable, even with earplugs. The thin windows made it feel like we were sleeping with the window open. The cleanliness of the room was a concern. We found hair on both the bed and the sofa bed, and the towels had visible stains. The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, we found it odd that we could see directly into a beauty salon from the hotel stairs.
